So excited to have stumbled upon this new gem of a tapas bar in our backyard! We had a warm welcome as soon as we walked in. Loved the vibe of the outdoor seating and bar situated around the pool. Hubby and I enjoyed drinks, and one tapas was more delicious than the next. We can't wait to go back and try some more. We loved the Patatas Bravas and Roasted Mushrooms.

Lovely little bar with great service and excellent music. Here on a Monday night on my last night in Ft Lauderdale and stopped in for a drink. The bartender, she was lovely, making lovely drinks and playing music. I will definitely come back.

Such an aesthetically pleasing little bar with great tapas and customer service. Finally stopped by and were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem!! Great food, prices and selection. This is definitely a new go-to. Dining areas and bar are decorated nicely and make it a perfect hangout for some drinks & bites with friends! Tried the veggie flatbread, patatas bravas, spicy tuna, and dulce de leche empanadas. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Food was great, would definitely recommend the croquettes! The staff and Juan, the owner, were personable and welcoming! Music was upbeat and atmosphere was clean and inviting! 5+ stars!

I happened to drive past the hotel after work one night & saw the sign for La Villa & when I got home I looked it up on line & the positive reviews, the posts of the venue & the menu had me sold then & there. The happy hour from 4-7pm couldn't be better! The passion fruit mojitos were delicious!! My only complaint was the bartender wasn't attentive to the customers at the tables as he was with the ones at the bar. But all & all it was a great location & not a far walk from the beach or other hotel & you cant beat the intimate setting, delicious tapas & drinks, I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

What a find! A great little tapas bar tucked into the North Beach Village vintage hotel area. Lots of seating options, from bar to cafe tables, to private cabana style seating w lounge chairs and sofas. There is a small waitstaff/bartenders/owner, but still attentive. Great (and growing) selection of beverages. Specialty cocktails, wines from France, Spain, and Italy, and others including 3 beers from Spain. We had a tough time deciding, as I prefer Spanish reds, but we found a winner in the bottle (not on the menu) recommended by the owner, of Colombian/Basque descent. It turned out to be a great intro to Spanish whites, from a region I had visited several years ago! We started with the stuffed mushrooms, which had bits of chorizo and manchego cheese, adding that something extra to make these a must have. The croquetas de jamón were as good as any I've had, lightly breaded and loaded with ham. The salsas paired perfectly. The pulpo, mmmm yes! Lightly seasoned, with a few potatoes. A smaller portion than I would have liked, but cooked so perfectly, with just the right crisp on the edges. We sat and chatted our sobremesa and were not rushed at all. I am looking forward to going back again soon (tonight?) to explore more of the menu.

First of all, the owners, Tim and Tracy, are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They welcome all with open arms, will find you the perfect wine for your tastes, and just generally have awesome customer service. Next, the WINE! What a great selection of natural wine. So much variety! Unique styles, unique countries. If you're an expert, pick for yourself. We prefer telling Tim what we're looking for and letting him choose the perfect match. Finally, the ambiance. Hip and modern, but still comfortable. We've been a few times during slow hours, and their sweet dog will be curled up on the mid century modern couch. Besides wine, there are other wine related goodies for sale. It's worth it to note, as of 2024 they no longer sell wine by the glass or food, and have gone back to being more of just a shop. But you can go in and do a tasting of the 4 wines of the week. Other great options are their weekly tastings with experts to teach you about the wines, and the monthly food pairing event!

I Finally got a chance to review one of our favorite spots to do a wine tasting…read more We first came months ago at a suggestion from some friends to go with them. It was a great tasting of a vineyard in California. A month or so later we went to another tasting that also was quite good. Then, last week we went to another with friends. This time we noticed on the email they explained how to park for free(we never knew this, always grabbed street parking). So the hook up in the parking ramp was nice. We walked into the Gourmetphile to a group of happy people ready to try some wines. We grabbed our seats by our friends and got ready. The spokesman for the company had some words, explaining the Gil family vineyard and its different wines. It's located in Spain and is between a couple of the more famous wine valleys there. Then we were off to the wines. They were quite good. What was debatably even better were the dishes that the owner provide for each wine. Different meats, cheeses and jams. Every dish was designed for that specific wine to match with. It's a few dollars for a tasting here, but when you know it almost good wines, and excellent food, it's worth it. We left with a bottles of wine so obviously these were good. And we look forward to the next one.

First of all, the amount of people is limited, making it an almost one on one experience with the person introducing the wines. Allowing us to listen clearly to their information and stories about the wines and wineries and easy to ask questions too. Not only do they know their wines, but they know very well what to pair with them. This was not a random charcuterie plate on the side, they paired each wine with a specific bite/ dish and explained why exactly they chose that an how it would compliment the wine. And, honestly, it all worked harmoniously. At the end of the tasting we were able to buy bottles, and also look at their shop front which has so many delicious cheeses, meats and more, plus, of course, wine to bring home and recreate these tastings experiences at home with your friends, family, or date. Highly recommend coming here, and you will definitely see us checking in again.

I've been thinking of taking the WSET exam to get some more solid knowledge of wine, and after comparing different places offering the course as well as online options, I decide to take the class here. Located in the SunTrust building, the academy is easily accessible and there's garage as well as street parking around. The class is a small in size so it's good for sharing experience and opinions. Alessandra is readily available to answer questions during and after class, and she gives useful tips in preparing for the exam. The course really helped me in calibrating my palate to the WSET standard, as well as broadening my horizon and introducing me to less common wines, such as Hungarian tokaji and Australian riesling. In the end, I felt that regardless of whether I pass the exam or not, the course was totally worthwhile, because it has given me a lot of knowledge and the tool to better appreciate wine.

What an incredible time I had yesterday at the Florida Wine Academy for my Wine Class…read more I have so many reasons to go back, from the impeccable place, inside and outside, to the wonderful and well-prepared class, directed by Ms. Nicole. She emailed us, two days before, and asked us if we have any food allergies since they will provide some snacks to pair with the wines. She also gave us the address and explained to us how to get there and where to park. I parked in a public garage for $5.00, this was not my best choice, because I'm not used to walking alone downtown, but it wasn't that bad after all. I went into the Sun-trust building, a beautiful tall building. The academy is on the 22nd floor as Nicole told us in her email. Once I got there, we went to this room where she had everything set up as you can see in my pictures, so pretty and organized. That's one of the most important things for me, how well organized and neat everything was. I need all those, in order for me to learn and enjoy myself the way I did. She started the class as a Professor will, telling us about herself and that, made me happy, such a prepared person is teaching me about wine...wow. The way she directed the class, with all the details, from guiding us where to buy wines, to open up our senses. Smell, Taste, and Body, were words we used during the whole class since we learned from her how to categorize each different wine, from all the six we had. As we were learning, smelling, and trying the wines, she also told us how to pair them with food and gave us tips on which wine will go good or better with the food we choose. With the wines we tried, we had some nuts, cheese and crackers, grapes, and dark chocolate...Yummy! They also offer all the 4 levels of WSET classes, plus labs like the one I went and more. You can always call or check their website for more information. Honestly, after trying this class yesterday, I don't feel so embarrassed to try the leveled classes and get my certification, because they way they teach you, you can actually learn and move forward.

I found this place through a Yelp search of wine bars in the north part of Palm Beach County, where I could help my wife celebrate her birthday with friends. The manager I spoke with was helpful and friendly, understanding what I wanted to do, and could accommodate a party of 20-25 people. The wine store is at the front, with the bar and lounge in the back. There are at least three high-top tables with a couch to lounge around. An L-shaped bar is where you can also grab glasses of wine. Most of the wines are moderately priced, and you can purchase a bottle or enjoy a glass at the bar or one of the tables. Many of the wines are from wineries not as well known, which allows trying something new that you usually don't see at the major wine & spirit chains. The manager had at least one to two people come in to pour a selection of wines for purchase, including roses, a white, and some reds. The experience at the Vine Post was fantastic, and I would go back for more.
