Bottled water, pop and iced tea are the drink options. Overall good food for the price. I can see why they are busy. We've really never had a bad meal here. We've had a few meals that were better than others. Post Covid, the service has varied from visit to visit. They still have a nice little early happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM with drink specials and some appetizers in the bar. They do have nightly specials that they tend to post online midday. In the first I would say 15 years of coming, we used to get a free birthday dessert if you were, I think a member of their club or whatever, but I know there were other times that they used to ask if you were celebrating anything special when you were seated and for an anniversary, they would give us a free glass of champagne or dessert to share or something like that. I made a reservation for our anniversary online in advance , and I even mentioned in the comment box that we were celebrating our 33rd anniversary, but this time no mention of it from staff, so we didn't bother to mention it either. It was the Friday before Labor Day weekend and so they do tend to get busy by 5 o'clock, and the bar is typically full by 5 o'clock for happy hour. They only had two bartenders on, one of which was taking care of the tables so bar service was a little bit slow. It took us a little bit of time to pay before heading out to the hostess stand to get our table. Once we were seated at our table, it was close to 10 minutes before a young male server came by. I attribute this to back to school time when they've lost a lot of their employees and then of course being a Friday before a holiday weekend a lot of people bail out on work too. It is still our favorite restaurant in the area though so I'm keeping my five star rating. My husband had the chicken marsala which was delicious. I had a 6 ounce fillet with broccoli as my side. I had asked for medium rare and it was actually quite rare, I could've sent it back and had it cooked a little more, but I just ate it rare & it still tasted fine. We'll return in a few months for a birthday meal I'm sure. It's an old school classy vibe place, but still very casual. Varied menu & I like their steaks and I feel although steak is quite expensive right now that there's is actually more reasonably priced than some of the other local restaurants. I believe it was $38 for the 6 ounce fillet that came with one side. I recommend their lemon drop martini at happy hour.

The screened in dining pod itself was very comfortable. It was a pleasant summer day so we did not need the fan or the heater which was available. They are nestled in the woods and sunshine peeks through the trees for a most serene dining experience. I commented that even if it were raining, you would be comfortable due to the design of the pods. There is a wide overhang so the rain wouldn't bother you coming in through the screens. On the plus side , the treetop room made for an intimate and cozy dining experience . Ambience - 9. Our server was pleasant and efficient without being intrusive in any way - Service - 9. First let me say that I have no issue paying hundreds of dollars for a quality meal that is unusual, creative, innovative, tasty, - one that each course brings WOWs and other high praise. The 4+ course meal didn't come close. The Amuse bouche was good , but nothing special. The appetizer consisted of shrimp ceviche in a lettuce wrap along with a 1 inch wedge of watermelon - tasty , but nothing I haven't experienced elsewhere just as good or better. The salad - a split romaine topped with a slice of watermelon radish ( tasteless) a sprig of fennel, and shaved parmesan cheese . The dressing was home made but tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. Creative ? - Hardly ! For main course ( which must be selected days in advance ) - my wife's salmon was a generous filet on a bed of parmesan risotto ( gummy ). A very small amount of glaze that was not recognizable. I chose the Sous vide pork tenderloin. - A single 4 inch by 3/8 inch medallion with a fruit sauce served over a serving of tasteless smashed potatoes . Side dish for both meals was 3 sliced carrot pieces steamed and again tasteless. My meal arrived barely luke warm and over cooked - I assume it was plated and waited for my wife's salmon to finish. Dessert was crème brulee ! Plain creme brulee. To charge hundreds of dollars for a fine dining experience and then have the chef literally sleep walk through the entire menu and meal is unforgiveable. Our local culinary school provides a better culinary experience and menus at one third the cost of the Treetops .
