a menu for a mexican restaurant
Geoff Y.

Really good. Growing up and living in Southern CA for almost 40 years, I've tasted all kinds of good and bad Mexican food, and this is definitely way on the 'good' side, especially for some random place in the middle of Montana. We ate here two days in a row - we had their Tinga burrito (which is basically like a spicy carnitas), verde enchiladas, breakfast burrito, and chile relleno. Everything was honestly just really good. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. Just a great no-frills type restaurant. Plus the workers there were all extremely friendly and genuinely seemed to care if we enjoyed the food. I doubt I'll ever be back in Bozeman again, but if I am, you can bet I'll be coming here.

Their fish tacos special is always nice to check out. The cafeteria style can be a pain go up and get more food. I wish the expand their menu to include burritos in the future.

This is the place I go when I was a simple, nice Mexican dish. The beans are so flavorful---better than any refried beans I've ever had. The owners are nice and they really know how to add on the spice! This place is affordable and you leave full. What more can you ask for?

Special tacos and a tinga taco. All for $8

Absolutely outstanding, authentic mexican food at cheap-o prices. The owners are just wonderful people.

Unreal authentic Mexican made by some incredibly hospitable folks. Make sure to bring cash, and be ready to come back again and again.

Definitely the best Mexican food I have ever gotten from a drive thru!…read more First off, I didn't realize this spot was located with a gas station until I pulled up and was a little confused and nervous. After reading the great reviews, I knew I had to try it anyways. The service was super fast and friendly in the drive thru and I was happily on my way back to the hotel with some delicious smelling food. All my fears faded away with the first bite. This might be some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I had the steak fajitas burrito which was not only huge, but SO GOOD. Piping hot and everything was very fresh. Steak was cooked perfectly and it was very filling. We also got a few carne asada tacos and the Bozeman nachos. Everything tasted amazing and the flavors were great. Sometimes I worry if things are made quick, the flavor isn't there, but in this case, it was exquisite. I would've eaten here all week while we were in town. Twice was all we had time for but I will go back every time I am in the area.

This meal was intended only as sustenance, but it was surprisingly SO GOOD??? As a Southern Californian with tons of Mexican food options, we thought Albertano's in Bozeman was so AMAZING! We came back TWICE for night time munchies! The red enchilada sauce was soo good I loved that it drenched everything. The thick red enchilada sauce with the crispy taco was the best combo of crunch and gooey chile deliciousness. Combo #4 is the way. Their red salsa also had a decent kick, which was a pleasant surprise for a spice fiend! And their salsas were not watered down as I sometimes see. Very casual fast food, looks like a big mess, but I swear it's so delicious.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.
