As a bar guest, I experienced something far above exceptional. It felt like walking into a place I already loved and being shown the very best of it by people who genuinely care. To the bartenders and staff who made every visit feel that way: Dairy-ah (I'm almost certainly butchering the spelling, but the pronunciation stuck with me), thank you for the warmth, the skill, and the way you made the bar feel welcoming every time. Lucy--always with the hat on backwards--you became my spirit animal the moment I realized how perfectly that energy matched the whole vibe of the place. Thank you for being exactly who you are behind that bar. Brittney, the chillest of them all: your calm, easy presence made everything feel lighter and better. Chelsea, I only got to have you serve me once, but that one time was enough to know how good you are at this. And to the Servers, Paul and Lola: even in our brief interactions while I was at the bar, both of you brought such strong, genuine personalities that it elevated the whole experience. Thank you for that. Blue Heaven is an amazing restaurant with great food and even greater service. But more than that, it's the people who make it feel like coming home and being shown the best time in a place you love the most. Thank you--truly--to all of you for making it feel that way. And to Henry, a longtime regular at the bar, who passed away during my visit. "His" presence was clearly part of the fabric of this place, and I'm grateful I got to share that space, however briefly, with the people who knew and cared for him. My husband and I were devastated when the Fort Myers to Key West ferry was cancelled that would have brought us to LaTeDa this weekend. Although the booking policy stated that refunds were only available 14 days or more prior to the first night, they were kind enough to refund our entire deposit. We will DEFINITELY book here when we are able to travel to Key West next time. read more

Worst espresso martini we ever had and the rudest "manager " . Three of us ordered them and didn't even drink them . Worst $68 ever spent on 3 drinks and the manager says you're in key west . Even though the hotel was no where being full, very low occupancy, he tried to upsell us to a better room. The lobby air conditioner was also not working properly. The lady in the excursion/gift shop was unfriendly, not informative when we asked a question, like she just didn't want to interact with the resort guests. The coffee shop closes very early, at 1:00 PM. The pool is very very small and ice cold. Once we got into our room the hotel power went down and everything had to reboot. The TV only has a few stations, and NO local, Key West stations to watch on the tv. Hyatt Centric wants you to download a tv station on your own phone for info about Key West. No things to do book in the room like most places have or room service menu. The hotel was so noisy. They were pressure cleaning in the early morning, right above our room. It was so loud and we couldn't sit and enjoy our balcony. What a shame. Pro: The room was nice and cold and spacious. They had clean rooms. And couldn't beat the location. The dinner at the 4 flamingos was amazing! But didn't see the $20 off credit on our bill at checkout, which is a deal they offered to guests , but we never saw it reflected on our bill. For a very expensive hotel sadly this one missed the mark.

We then walk to Mary Star of the Sea for morning mass, by the time we get back they have breakfast ready and sitting poolside is a great place to plan the day. We can't say enough about how welcome we feel here. So much so, that this trip our daughter and son in law joined us for the time here. The location is just a couple of blocks off Duvall Street and just a couple of blocks from the waterfront area so perfect for the north side of Key West. We were able to walk everywhere. The location itself was approximately 40+ rooms, and had two pools in the area. The king size bed in our room, 29 a, was super comfy! We wanted to find out what kind of bed it was so we could buy it for home! Bathroom area was adequately sized and the shower had plenty of room for two people. Even though the place was sold out for the weekend we never felt like there were very many people here. We had 29 an and 29B which were right outside the barside pool, which was a perfect location. The breakfast that was provided each morning was small but perfect for us to get a light bite before we headed out. Pastries, fruits and yogurts. Coffee was available 24 hours a day, which was great! The pools were perfect temperature to cool us off from the hot Island weather. The bar they had was nice, but the hours weren't very conducive. Would like to see it stay open a little later, past 630, but I just don't think it's that kind of environment. The pool closed a little bit early too... We thought 8 PM was too early and should've been more like 10 PM. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and is one of the first places we would say we would absolutely come back to and visit Key West again

Bikes and motorized personal transport are on the property for rent. Our room... you all gotta understand... its all set like a "Key West" vibe! Don't judge it like "dated 60s". Key West has that 60s-70s vibe naturally! Loved the room! The bed was pretty high up! I got a story about a woman who fell off a bed like this onto the hardwood floor and broke her back! Being of "average" height... you gotta position yourself to get up onto the bed! It was comfy. Of our week we stayed... the last three days...umm... there was an annoying rooster waking us up! Times between 6-7am! (Insert your Gen Alpa kid here). You'll be laying there.. enjoying the early morning then that rooster is like the alarm clock you didn't want! I googled about removing annoying chickens. They have traps to relocate them. Chickens are protected... iguanas are not! Antine care to tell me.... What's up with the TV in the bathroom by the sink area? I even asked at the front desk. They didn't know. Looks like it was from the 90s. If it doesn't work... take it out and just make it a shelf! Overall... would stay again. Just... you gotta know the "whats what" of this place.

Not only are they serving the seated patrons and the 4 small nooks, they are also making drinks for the attached restaurant. There were a gazillion tickets coming out of the printer and servers standing on the other side of the window waiting. It's just not possible to serve everyone with just two bartenders. We waited about 10 minutes for service. The drinks were underwhelming for a speakeasy. Just your typical menu. What we ordered was okay. They just missed a great opportunity to create unique twists on classics or to have craft cocktails. Even the classics (which are perfect for a speakeasy) weren't that great. For a speakeasy, the drinks are the main event. Glad we tried it as we always seek out speakeasies. Wouldn't go again.
