I had a granite countertop with a 4 - 7 inch crack in it near the sink basin. Joe filled it, sanded it, etc. The area is now smooth, but you can tell there is a filled crack there, if you look closely. He also filled a smaller crack on the far side of the sink free of charge, and this was a crack that I had not even noticed! I contacted several stone restoration companies that I found on Yelp for quotes to restore a midcentury limestone fireplace. I met with a few companies who provided samples of their work by testing their method on a section of my fireplace but it still looked dirty or they didn't want to fully scrub around the stones. So my project manager, Eddie from L.A. Construction group Inc, contacted Mr Joe to drill a 1.1/2" hole into a marble slab in a master bathroom of one of our clients, for a steam unit that we are installing. Joe came out and give us a quote of $450 to drill the hole. After receiving he's proposal and agreed to proceed with the work, we schedule him to come out and do the work. Before he came out we requested from him, proof of he's licensed and insurance, and he said yes I'll send it and never did. After he came out and drill the hole and took him 10 m to drill the hole, he kept asking about he's payment, typically we cut checks on Fridays, but anyhow he keeps insisting about he's payment, so my office did a quick pay 30 m after he completed the job. Everything was good until my plumber came out and said that we need it the hole just a little bit bigger, so we call joe to see if he can come out and help us out and do the hole bigger, assuming that there will be a charge, but what makes this so disappointing it's that now he wants to charge $500 to come back and make the hole 1/2" bigger. I'm posting this because we are a general contractors company and we find it very unprofessional in our industry when your been billed for 30 minutes of work $1000 for an unlicensed contractor. read more

Our granite countertop had cracked in a couple spots, so when we tried replacing the faucet, two large chunks broke off. Joe replied quickly to our request for a quote and was also the cheapest option. He arrived promptly the next day and after showing him the damage, he asked what faucet we planned to install. Had he not checked, the hole for our new faucet would have been too small even after it was fixed. He drilled a larger area for us and repaired the damage. A little over a year since my last review Joe returned to do his avid on an unusual crack that seemed to have a life of its own. Joe discovered rust below the granite that was creating the problem. Joe is a true craftsman with the skill and knowledge to turn our sad over-painted concrete porches into beautiful entryways. Joe and Raphael removed at least 4-5 layers of embedded paint with multiple stripping and grinding processes, by machine and hand, using professional high-quality equipment and tools. They worked hard for days, for a fair and reasonable price, and were friendly and courteous and kept us completely informed throughout the process. In the end our porches were not only cleaned and restored, but now they look like fine patterned stone floors you would see in refurbished older buildings. Hire Joe, trust me. I had a marble shower built almost a year ago during a remodel and the marble has been absorbing water or staining for some other reason for the entire year. We didn't even use the shower for most of that time. The original installers and two other service people supposedly sealed it but it never worked properly. Joe not only took multiple visits over two weeks to diagnose the real issue (improper installation to begin with) but loaned us equipment to remove the stains, came back 4 times to check the status before he even started his work, and then did it all without even once changing his initial quote. Then three days after he was done he called me back just to check on the results and ask if we were happy. To top it off, he offered to show me how to do the annual work of maintenance myself but I told him if he actually is the first person to get it to work he has an annual appointment for life. And he did, the shower is now properly sealed and working perfectly and Joe's professionalism and job skill made a very expensive remodel finally work properly. You can not go wrong with him, he's honestly one of the best, most honest and thorough vendors i've ever used in my home. read more
