Biggest fraud and worst service ever! guys nothing but a scam artist. installed a home depot special job, none of the edges match, he chipped the edges and filled it with a darker filler, didn't seal the stone before gluing the edges either. he comes to install and uses clear silicone instead of color matching where the slabs meet. Then he doesn't answer your calls and steals your remaining slab! Stay far away from this crook, don't fall for his price. You get what you pay for! read more

Kevin was such a pleasure to work with. Very professional from start to finish, and had such quick turnaround for the quotes. He also set up next day appointments and showed up on time. We had purchased our quartz slabs through our local tile guy, and he and his team immediately picked them up and got started on fabricating. Kevin was so precise in his measurements and took time to ensure everything was a perfect fit. Further, he provided good suggestions for us (e.g. using the extra piece for the window ledge, and using steel support versus wood for the overhanging counter so the wood wouldn't show) that made our kitchen even more beautiful. Kevin was amazing. We were originally just having him fabricate/install our kitchen countertops, but after the ease of the whole process with him, we decided to also have him fabricate and install our laundry room countertops. We had a miscommunication about what we wanted during installation but I called Kevin and he immediately came over and helped us work everything out. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and he was very flexible about what day/time to install. It looks beautiful. We just had the laundry countertops installed last week and they are amazing. We had a dual mount sink that I wanted to look a very specific way once the counters were installed. Even though some of the cuts were difficult, he told me it would be no problem and he totally performed. He brainstormed with me to come up with the perfect plan as to how he would fabricate and install around the sink so that it would look just how I wanted. When the installation day came, the man who was making the holes for the faucet was clearly very experienced and cut them perfectly to where they didn't damage the undermount sink. We chose Kevin to fabricate our countertops because of all the great reviews on Yelp. He did not disappoint. We called him in October and gave him the schematics for our kitchen and told him the stone we'd purchased - Brazilian Quartzite. We'd originally wanted granite, but my husband fell in love with a pricier stone that was a lot more money. Such is life, right? I knew we needed an artist to cut it. From the reviews, Kevin sounded like the guy we needed. He came and measured, gave us a quote. We added another bar area to use up the expensive stone. He came a second time with his father to make templates. Two weeks later we had beautiful countertops. The work carving stone around the farmhouse sink is excellent. They made hand-cut adjustments on the spot. His team did a really nice job. We did have one or two hiccoughs on the install, one being a seam on the face of the edge of a long counter that didn't match, and the peninsula waterfall was not quite fitted correctly because we were told to remove an entire very expensive molding assembly, and when the team checked the stone he'd already accounted for it. We were not happy at the time, but we got the cabinet maker back to patch up the issue with a neatly executed fix. We're happy it's not where anyone would find it unless they're looking. We spend a lot of time in this room now that was once just for prepping meals. We love our stone and the care and skill that went into getting these to match the walls of an old 1946 home that are settled and most times not square. Back in April of 2015, I requested quotes from over 10 fabrication companies to cut and install granite for my kitchen (about 30 sq ft of granite). I received some pretty ridiculous quotes or received no response at all. I contacted West Coast Granite and worked directly with Kevin who was really excellent. He came out quickly to make the template, talked to me about the different edges and overhang sizes, and was upfront with all costs (plywood, sink holes, etc.). First of all you can't deny the 5 star reviews he has on yelp (& no he doesn't pay his customers to review him either - he's just genuinely that good at what he does.) there are people out there that can do it for less - but remember, you get what you pay for & Kevin and his crew from west coat were worth every penny! His team arrived on install day and everything went smoothly in our kitchen and bath! His measurements were exact (so thankful!) The edging and seems are flawless. & we had no issues other than one of the bathroom sink holes for the faucet is slightly off centered. When all is said and done though - they did a great job and once everything in the bathroom is decorated it will be a blip on our radar. I've heard horror stories from friends who have remodeled and had to buy completely new slabs and pay for someone else to come fix a job done terribly the first time. This was the first time I had ever renovated a kitchen & I was installing my own ikea cabinets, so I was flying blind as I tried to figure out how marble counters worked. Hire Kevin immediately. Well if you are reading the reviews on this page then you are shopping around for a stone fabricator. If that's the case, you, like other Yelpers and I before you, have found the best fabricator in the greater Los Angeles area. A month ago I had an arrangement with a different fabricator who came highly recommended from the slab yard. On the day of pickup, I was stood up and when called him, the guy came up with a story of a death in the family etc.. So I did what most of us do when searching for help, I started to search Yelp! Luckily I found West Coast Granite. I called Kevin who was completely booked. I told him my story and explained him that we were planning to move in during the (coming) weekend before schools start. I had a quartzite to be picked up from North Hollywood and needs to be fabricated and installed in Thousand Oaks. Without any further negotiations, Kevin promised that my island will be ready on Saturday, but he would try his best for Friday. Friday before noon I received a phone call from Kevin that he was ready to install it. He came to the house with his dad and waited for an hour for my wife who was driving back from LAX. Despite all that, he met her and the kids with a big smile on the face and the most courteous attitude, then proceeded to install the plywood and quartzite slab in no time. He then went on to cure/seal the stone and explained my wife how to care for it. He even sent me a text with a couple of pictures from the installation. BEST experience and craftsmanship ever and I will ONLY use Kevin from now on for all stone fabrication and installation!!! I've helped remodel 6 kitchens and baths and as such, used no less than 6 counter fabricators. Each job had a different fabricator because, quite frankly, the work was passable but NOT up to the standards one wants when investing so much money. That was then, NOW I have found the one and only fabricator I will ever use and recommend - Kevin Kalaygian from West Coast Fabrication. #1. Hands down the most knowledgable of his craft that I have come across in Los Angeles County whether you hire on the West side or San Fernando Valley. #2. Excellent people skills! Very pleasant. Very accommodating. Very professional and very interested in pleasing his customer! #3. And this probably should've been listed as #1... EXCELLENT and precise cuts!! NO jagged edges and the skill this man has is so dead on that for my job - when three other fabricators wanted me to WASTE $1,300 on a second slab (because they knew they weren't good/confident enough to make precise cuts), Kevin advised straight up that while there would be NO room for error on his part, I only needed my one jumbo slab for the entire job - which included an L-shaped piece that was 1-piece, NO seam. Absolutely gorgeous work!! When I have a moment, I will upload photos to show potential customers the difference between Kevin and other fabricator results. Some cut corners to the extreme, using dull blades that result in a jagged tooth like effect on the seams. KEVINS LINES & CUTS ARE BEAUTIFUL!! So IF you obtain a quote from Kevin and he seams to be $100 or even $300 more than others...it's because he may SAVE YOU MONEY & heartache in the end! He not only saved me the $1,300 for the unnecessary slab all others "insisted" I had to buy, but he saved me a good $80 - $120 in mark-ups that others I've used also tack on in the end stating XYZ was "unexpected" and needed. Kevin at West Coast Fabrication is worth every penny! His crew was as professional as he. He came in and did the job, cleaned up and from start to finish it was a pleasant experience. He even finished 2 days EARLY, "rushing" himself in fabrication because he knew I was on a deadline and yet, as stated, his cuts were flawless - as was the fit. Kevin cut and installed: (a) a 4ft powder room vanity - and gave me an AWESOME price on some remnant Quartz he had as a favor. Saved me more than $200 for even a pre-fab compromise for the space so - loved it!! (b) my kitchen counters (also in quartz) which included a two-level island. (c) and at NO extra charge to me, Kevin had his guys fix a chip in my master bath counter that ANOTHER (inferior) fabricator installed a couple months earlier - and I obviously did not use again. Can't even tell there was a chip there now so, that made me very happy!! My powder room vanity counter by Kevin - PERFECT. My kitchen counters and island by Kevin - PERFECT. The favor of fixing my master bath vanity counter chip by Kevin - PERFECT. It was all just perfect. I know money is tight for most, but Kevin is just as competitive as the rest and when it comes to custom work, he is most certainly worth a few extra bucks because the end result speaks for itself.
