Dull spot gone and now she's shiny!
Kelly N.

Wow what a difference they made! My bathroom Saltillo tile was in need of a major face lift. It was extra dull and dingy after I had workers paint the vanity and somehow spilled drops of paint in several places. Whatever they used to clean the paint made large dull spots in the tile. After having these guys give her a facelift, she is shiny and new. I don't think she's ever looked this good in the 19 years I've lived here! They were professional, responsive, scheduled me quickly and were in and out in under 2 1/2 hours. We just have to keep out the pug for 24 hours...she's not happy but I am!

Before - etching, polish finish

Professional and responsible through and through. Excellent end-product quality. I contacted D Stone (David) and got an immediate response. I had questions about refinishing my marble countertop (polished vs. honed) and David provided advantages/disadvantages, and quickly provided fair quotes for both alternatives. Communication remained excellent and work-day arrival was prompt. David cut about 7% off his quoted price upon inspecting the area. Tarping was meticulous, as was clean-up following the work; David even removed construction debris from behind the stove that was left from the prior remodel, purely to be courteous. David remained present for nearly the entirety of the job, leaving only briefly to get lunch for his team. The counters look excellent and I have not seen any significant flaws in the refinishing. David also provided advice on maintenance/upkeep. This is a top-notch business owner and team. Highly recommended.

Run, don't walk from this contractor. He has some good reviews, but here's what you need to know about DStone when things go wrong. I hired DStone (David) to restore/replace our pool flagstone and clean the surrounding color concrete decking amongst other miscellaneous items. I warn you of the following: 1) he does not back-up his work. When his stone installer made some costly errors, he made me pay labor and materials to fix it. When they damaged our concrete decking (see photos) he refused to take responsibility. First claimed this was original condition, then offered to pay to fix it, then disappeared. His insurance company agreed there was a claim but his deductible was so high, he would not file the claim - so if you hire them, check their deductible level. Otherwise the insurance certificate is worthless. 2) worthless warranty - i contacted him about the pool steps separating and he would not respond. 3) Restore vs replace? Even though he thought he would replace 50% of our flagstone, ultimately decided to replace all of it, using up the stone necessary to complete our spa, causing me to buy more. Enough said, he's not worth the trouble. I'm not litigious so I've not opted to go spend good money after bad... and DStone is definitely bad news!!

I am so pleased with the work David and Delmer did restoring the stone in my home. The marble entry hall looks better than I remember it when it was brand new! Granite countertops are gleaming. But the biggest challenge was my very large tumbled marble shower and tub surround which had been improperly sealed by a handyman years ago and was beginning to crumble. They not only removed the flaking sealer the handyman had applied, they filled the holes, restored the color and sealed it properly. All of this while working within my budget. I highly recommend this company!

We had David w/D Stone Restoration power wash, stain, and reseal all of our stamped concrete in the front, side, and back. I have never had a service that is as detail oriented as I am. David really took the time to go over the project with me, choose colors, and even create a color for the front concrete since the stain Co. did not have a color that I liked. David was so patient with me and worked with me throughout the whole process. His employees were very professional and did an amazing job! I would highly recommend hiring D Stone Restoration to take care of your concrete!

They even took out all the stains from our white tile bathroom floors !

I had a great experience with D Stone Restoration! Provided a quote very quickly and we're available to accommodate our request to begin right away. They completed the job quicker than other companies quoted us. They provided the best work & value for a great price. The job was completed a few weeks ago and it still looks like new! Thank you guys again!

AFTER SINK

Thank you - beautiful job! I neglected to care for my soapstone kitchen counter for three years. Finally, a soap container spilled while I was away for the holidays and the stains (see last photo) were unbearable. David responded to my VM quickly, looked at some photos, gave me a quote via text, and showed up the next day on time. Carefully protected by cabinets and floors and worked diligently for 6 hours - plus refinished my marble coffee table as a bonus! Will definitely have him return for annual maintenance.

David went above and beyond, cleaning, restoring and sealing our marble. He came out the next day to do a walk-through and give a quote, and he was very communicative, professional, punctual and thorough throughout. He was very honest about areas that needed attention and ones that didn't. I took a before and after photo of the worst of the floor -- it was clearly due! We look forward to seeing D Stone again in the future.

Of the companies I contacted, he had great pricing and was very transparent and upfront about costs and potential factors that might affect the price such as condition of subfloor, etc. He gave me a range and wound up charging me on the lower end, which was appreciated. I had him put in Garrison engineered wood flooring in two bedrooms to try to match my existing wood floors in common areas along with a baseshoe to cover the gap between the floor and baseboard. He was able to keep the floor flush in one bedroom, and added a transition for the second because the subfloor had poured concrete and was higher than the landing. I truly appreciated how he and his team went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Our project was a bit challenging and unique because we only wanted to spot treat areas of hardwood flooring that had been scratched and stained by a former renter. His 5-star Yelp reviews initially prompted me to request a quote, but it was his outstanding customer service, responsiveness, communication skills, and thoroughness that ultimately earned him the job. They sell engineered wood flooring without proper protective coating, which is why the price looks low -- but you end up paying much more later. As soon as a little water touched the floors, it penetrated straight into the wood and changed the color. We were shocked. We had just spent a lot of money on new flooring, and instead we ended up with damaged wood within days. Because of these issues, we couldn't even move into our home. We had to stay in an Airbnb while dealing with the problem. We spent over $4,000 on temporary housing because of the extremely poor-quality material they sold us. Discount Floor sells cheap, low-quality engineered wood with almost no protective coverage. We will never buy from them again, and I strongly do not recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the headache. Go somewhere else.

Robert explained which weaves were most durable, what was most resistant to stains, etc. Since I lived nearby he allowed me to take samples to my home so I could compare it to existing carpet. When I brought them back, Robert had printed a quote; within minutes I had put down a deposit. Since the carpet came from Georgia there was about a ten-day wait. The installers showed up on time and ready to work; after moving some heavy furniture (including a piano), six hours later they had finished, cleaned up, and moved all furniture back in place. They probably could have done it faster in a rectangular room (my living room has all kinds of crazy angles to which they had to cut), but in the end the carpet fit every corner like a glove, with no visible seams.

The bamboo was suffocated and it buckled and got moldy underneath and started to push my LVP floor up. At first sign of trouble I decided to find the highest rated wood floor company in Burbank for help. Robert came and instantly knew what was going on without even demoing the floor. He kindly provided reference material for me to present to my contractor to prove he was at fault. He answered questions here and there while I fought my contractor to take responsibility and fix the issue and after a quick-fix failed, it was a no brainer to me to use Robert and his team to start again and get the job done right. His crew included Jason who worked like a craftsman to surgically remove the two layers of old flooring from around the footprint of my kitchen cabinets and entire ground floor area. The challenge was to retain the clean look of our new kitchen, avoiding trim to hide gaps, even though we were removing almost an inch of flooring and replacing it with 5/8' hardwood. We opted for a moisture barrier, an additional cork layer to try to retain the same height and then a beautiful, rustic looking engineered hardwood floor. I can't tell you how happy I am with the quality of the work. Eduardo expertly cut the flooring and brought up the level of the flooring around the cabinets to exactly the same height. The transition is seamless! If you are weighing up who to use for your flooring, pick these guys, they get the job done right. We are really happy with the appearance of the floor and the final product.

HOWEVER, at Imperial Annie immediately suggested Bodyguard's 5.5" trim made for exterior applications. (I like the Bodyguard trim because it had eased edges that looked more finished than straight lumber edges). Annie explained how the pine product is double primed, etc. She called her supplier right away to see if they d it in stock which they did. She also showed me samples she's ordered for another client so I could see the quality of the product. In other words she took the time to care about what I was looking for. At Ganahl's they really didn't care about what I actually needed. My husband might prefer the redwood option(because it's a more "noble" wood than pine,) but I definitely prefer the great service at Imperial which is where I'd go for any future hardwood and moulding needs.
