Salt...salt...salt! Ugh. Every meal had way to much salt. Chicken Piccata, chicken broccoli ziti. Why?? If I feel it needs salt, let me add my own. The meals were ruined, couldn't even eat. The arancini balls were so greasy. The chocolate lava cake had no lava or flavor. The a la mode was melted as it was put in the same bag with the hot food. Very disappointed... $85 later on DoorDash. Early days (no take out yet) but what a great restaurant. Great waitstaff, accommodating (put us in an overflow room so we could be comfortable eating in during covid times). Food was excellent although the menu is small-ish. Wine was excellent although the wine list was smallish. Was great having the chef come by and chat with us (hint - he's from Italy). I'd say the best higher-end restaurant we've been to in the area. Looking forward to going back. Highly recommended! read more

Stopped by this new gem on a Wednesday night. It had a decent crowd, a very clean and modern but upper scale decor. We started off with meatballs and the charcuterie which teed up our dinners quite nicely. I got the eggplant parm and my husband got the prime burger. All the food was fantastic but it wouldn't have been nearly as good if it wasn't served by Jessica who was an all star server. It was my first time visiting this restaurant. La Stalla was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day with my husband. The food was delicious and the service pristine. I ordered the Saltimbocca alla Romana and my husband ordered Gnocchi Frutti de mare, both were to die for. The polenta on my plate was creamy and the veal cooked to perfection. You can tell the chef prepares each plate with care and detail. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. My husband and will return for sure!! read more

This is the best meal we've had in 2 years! I'm including restaurants such as Ruth's Chris. La Stalla Osteria beat all of their competition by a mile in all areas most importantly the food which was delicious and the service was absolutely perfect! The ambience could use a little help but otherwise this place is great. We will be back. read more

I'm a longtime Bostonian who ventured out here to the suburbs based on the reviews. I'm thrilled I did because it was truly a fantastic experience here. The food is top notch (better than you'll find in the North End in Boston), extremely fresh with a deep flavor profile and great presentation. The service was also excellent, the perfect balance of attentive to needs while not overbearing. The appetizers and pizza all were incredible, specifically the Gorgonzola pizza. I had the bolognese for dinner which was loaded with meat and al dente pasta and delicious. The bar was an awesome time with festive drinks made perfectly to order. If you're within a 15-mile radius, this is ABSOLUTELY worth a stop and you won't regret it. read more

Arrived for a 7:15 reservation. We were seated and ordered drinks, appetizers and wine. Received them, ordered dinner and enjoyed ourselves. Two hours later we still had not received our meals ( six minutes after closing)!! Server came by several times to assure us dinner was about to be served. We left and they arrived with our meals as we left. The good new is that they did not charge us. The bad news is that they haven't gotten it together in the kitchen. The chef/owner called the next day to ask us to return for a "free" dinner. We declined. This was to be a special birthday dinner for our daughter. Needless to say it wasn't a great celebration evening. We won't be back. Sorry. Get it together if you plan to survive. read more

we dined here on 9/30/22. looking for a new local restaurant to try. we were seated on time with no issues. Food was absolutely delicious! The service was a bit slow but my main complaint was the lighting was way way too bright. This restaurant has a beautiful decor but the lighting is way off. They definitely need to dim the lights and maybe add some small candles or tea lights to the tables . The ambiance was lacking but I feel it could be improved quite easily. Again, the food was very good, the portions were ample and the prices are very reasonable. We will be back! read more

Not worth the time or money! First time to this restaurant. It was my friend's birthday and we were looking forward to this restaurant being good because we so miss Cafe Bella in Randolph now that it is closed. Not so much!! It was a night of highs and lows. The cocktails were terrific - cosmos - yummm! The fried cauliflower was outstanding. The warm olives were not. The bread basket was terrific, the Caesar salad was not- why are we cutting up a small head of romaine ourselves? The beet salad was good, the pizza was terrific, and the pasta was not. The zucchini was overcooked and bitter. The coffee was great, as was the gelato, the cannolis were not- I am not sure what they were filled with, but it wasn't ricotta. Now let's talk about the service. The host was very gracious - let me sit even though the other person in my party was late. The servers were not good, to say the least. They were dismissive, rushed us by giving us more than one course at a time, didn't know what a sugar caddie was, and then the final insult after spending more than 180 dollars told us we had to leave before we were finished with coffee and dessert because of another reservation. SOO disappointing and infuriating. Go if you are looking for a rushed experience with hit or miss food. Don't go if you want to dine for a fun night out. La Stalla is low-class dining not worth the time or money!!! Stay home!!!! read more
