A wonderful Italian cook…read more Who has to work with the same not wonderful ingredients that all of us Americans have to put up with. Italian cooking is ingredient dependent - Even if the cook is a combination of Escoffier, Paul Bocuse and James Beard, An American tomato is an American tomato. To see what the amazing chef of Artipasta can do if he can get the materials worthy of his talents, Try his Pasta and Sardines. There is nothing wrong with American sardines. That dish will fly you to the moon. Other more tomato-dependent items on the menu are pleasant enough. It is sad to see this enormously talented individual being as underutilized as he is. But nothing here is bad. If you think like a cook yourself, You will find other items of glory on the menu.

Such a good find in Austin!…read more If you're ever craving pasta, this is the place to stop by. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, but everyone who came in was still able to get a table. It feels very authentic. No Italian-American staples like Alfredo, meatballs, or garlic bread, which was actually refreshing since I'm so used to that style. You can either sit down first and take your time with the menu, or order in line before grabbing a table. Either way, they're very chill about it. Another cool thing: they're BYOB and will even cork it for you. Saw other guests bring their own glasses too, which was a nice touch. The pasta is clearly fresh. I'd recommend the macaroni with mushrooms and sausage. I got the tagliatelle with lemon shrimp cream sauce and loved it, though now I'm curious to try one of their non-cream-based sauces next time. Also spotted another table's lasagna go by and the portion was huge. Already excited to go back next time I'm in Austin. Definitely check this spot out!

It's a small restaurant, but it has a cozy atmosphere that made the whole experience enjoyable. The staff was amazing, friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. I absolutely loved the Pizza "Stria," a crispy flatbread topped with EVOO, sea salt, and fresh rosemary. The bruschetta and Caprese skewers were incredible. Honestly, I could've made a meal out of just those appetizers. For my entrée, I ordered the lasagna, and let me tell you...the portion was huge! I shared it with four coworkers and still had plenty left for myself. Best of all, it was absolutely delicious. Artipasta did not disappoint. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. I'll definitely be back!

We got a little bit of everything and shared it family style. Our favorites were the lasagna and the creamy mushroom sausage macaroni. The pistachio and lemon desserts were also very good.

The food was consistently incredible -- honestly restaurant quality, if not better than many restaurants we've been to. You could feel the care and intention in it. It became part of our rhythm living in North Loop, and we loved being able to walk over and support Lily and August's food truck. We're really going to miss it. Thank you both for creating something so special. If you ever reopen in another location, we will absolutely make the drive.

One of the worst dining experiences ever. Came here for our…read morelunch break from work, wanting to try a new place. Looked super good so we were excited. We ended up ordering 2 drinks. 2 small bites and 2 unusual banh mi's. The drinks were good, then we got the small bites. Mango salad and shrimp skewers. we got the salad first which had a horrible flavor that neither me or my boyfriend could do, so we set it aside. we did eat the crackers that came with it. it was good. Then we got the shrimp skewers, which came and looked black. We decided to give it a try anyways, it was horribly overcooked. like rubber wouldn't even describe it. so we didn't eat it either. i ate the cucumbers that came with it which were good. We finally got the banh mi's which were ok we ate it but nothing special. Then came the time when server came to ask if we're ready for check. We ended up mentioning that we hated the salad and the shrimp. still untouched on the table. she said to give her a moment. and we sat and waited for 10 minutes. while they were talking about us and them saying "they did touch the shrimp" (yes we took 2 bites to try it obviously, then we didn't touch it afterwards) finally after 10 minutes they bring us the check. which they didn't take anything off of. so we paid $70 for 2 banh mis. left hungry with a horrible experience. We were still thinking of coming back just to grab some drinks cause they looked good. but after voicing our complaints, then those complaints ignored. Never again. Horrible.

We were in Rome and Naples earlier this year and we were longing for this type of pizza ever since. They hit both marks too- Neopolitan style was the perfect size, quality ingredients, and chew of the crust. The Roman style was even more impressive where you can order a whole pizza that feeds 3-4 (squares are substantial size) or you can order just one if you're feeling like you want to try. The pastas are homemade and delicious but suggest you order and eat there. Also the polpette are divine! We are avid supporters almost once a week because we just crave their food. Authentic and simple. You truly get what you pay for and the people that work there are solid. Go eat their You won't regret it.

I've been to Pizza do Roma on two occasions…read more On the first visit my husband and I decided to stop by there while on our E-bike ride. We parked our bike and walked in. We were greeted by a friendly person at the counter. He took our order and told us to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant is small but has seating in two areas. As you order you can view the pizzas and decide what you would like by the slice. They also have a full menu displayed on the wall with other food options that you can order. This time we ordered two slices of pepperoni, one slice of margherita, and one slice of pizza di roma. The pepperoni pizza was my favorite. The margherita pizza was good and the pizza di roma had a meat and veggies which was tasty. The cheese was melted and when you would pull the pieces apart it would stretch. The crust was strong under the ingredients and the exterior crust on the edges were crispy. This pizza was delicious. On the second visit I went with my husband and kids. This time we took our car and found 1 hour parking across from the restaurant. We had a similar experience in terms of friendly service. We each order our own slices. I got the pepperoni and pizza di roma. Both were very good. We also ordered a whole pepperoni pizza to take home. Overall pizza di roma was a great place to visit. It has a small atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious pizza.
