Delicious modern restaurant with amazing decor and authentic Mexican flavors. The ambiance is very nice with roses throughout and nice open seating. Menu had many options including Mexican takes on pastas. This dining experience started with a queso fundido appetizer which was delicious mushrooms and spicy chorizo. I asked for salsas on the side which were flavorful and spicy Beverages ordered were the Hennessy mango mojito and Thalia. Both drinks were delicious and had the perfect balance. Entrees were the Friday steak and lobster which had a delicious garlic seasoning. The lobster was perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of seasoning. Kid options included chicken strips and potato wedges. The chicken tenders were real chicken breasts which were a healthy option Staff was very attentive and friendly. Don't miss out on trying La Rosa. I recommend it. Everything ordered came out delicious and fresh. I have to point out their Aguachiles. Wow! They were so fresh, flavorful and yes as they should they had a spicy kick. Trio Enchiladas is a great dish so you can know which salsa is your favorite. The red ones were my husband's favorite. Pasta Al Durango was tasty I would just suggest adding more sauce as I thought it got a little too dry as it cooled down. Down part was that their complimentary sopa de fideo was a little on the salty side. If they can fix that, it would taste just like our mommy's sopa de fideo. La Rosa Mexican Food in La Habra was incredible! The cocktails were the highlight of the night--beautifully crafted, delicious, and presented perfectly. We tried the Hennessy Mango Mojito, Talia with Prosecco, La Rosa Martini, and the Abuelita Espresso Martini, and every single one was amazing. The queso fundido was a flavorful, shareable starter, and both the Enchilada Trio and the Ribeye with Lobster Tail were outstanding. The house-made salsa verde, habanero crema, and chipotle chili sauce were the perfect finishing touch. We ended the night with the lava cake and berries, which was the perfect dessert. Many locals have been waiting to visit this restaurant. Luckily, Fullerton, Brea, and La Habra residents support local businesses. Saw a "soft opening" for this weekend in February 2026. Decided on a Friday Date Night. The inside is beautiful. You can tell the owners put a lot of money into the decorations, tables, chairs, restrooms, and overall decor. It almost feels like a 1980's Miami Vice theme with the purple, green, and blues. Not a bad thing, just different and flashy. Beautiful Spanish music playing on background speakers. Place is very quiet. The drinks were on the sweeter end, but still very good. Could use a little more alcohol with La Rosa & Thalia. I rarely drink and couldn't taste the alcohol, but lots of sugar. There's no chips & salsa, but rather a complimentary Sopa De Fideo. It tasted incredible. Little hints of spice and perfectly warm. We skipped appetizer and went straight to Entrees. Trio Enchiladas were Cheese (red sauce), chicken (green/white sauce), and shrimp (green sauce). Cheese and chicken were great, the shrimp wasn't good. I tried, but it didn't pair right with my palate. The beans tasted homemade and has some spice to it. The rice was ok. Nothing bad, nothing great, just meh. Wife had Arrachera con Papas. Steak was cooked medium and had great flavor with chimichurri sauce. Papas were average. Black beans and rice with just good. The real winner was desert. The lava cake (Pastel de Lava Estilo Abuelita). Presentation was beautiful and lots of fruit on the side. Greta sharing for two. Wish I took a picture. Overall, 7.5/10 restaurant. 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 1 desert. Out the door price with tip around $150. Pretty pricey for Mexican food. But the food was good. Not sure if it was memorable. But I would visit again since it's close and local. But also to try different items on the menu. They have a kids menu. It's very reasonably priced at $9 each item. But this is more of a date spot and not a kids restaurant. read more

This fairly new restaurant kept coming up on my social media feed. On Friday I noticed they were advertising Mariachi for brunch this past Sunday, 8/2/26 - I gave in! We should up at 12pm and they sat us right away and didn't even ask about my reservation. We sat in a booth towards the back and right away I noticed the excessive flowers on the walls and ceiling. Even worse was the smell on mold, dirty wet carpet, stale air... and speaking of air. The AC was also not working in our section. Which made it really hard to enjoy our food. Now, the service was pretty slow and eventually when we received our food I was pleasantly surprised . I was pretty good. However, the restaurant is so understaffed our service continued to be slow even while attempting to pay the bill. Oddly, this woman whom I believe was the owner kept walking around in this gold long dress with a look of distress and only smiling and talking to a select few tables. Why not welcome and talk to everyone (it was our 1st time there). Nonetheless, I must say the mariachi was the star of the whole afternoon. Those two girls can sing! I highly recommend you find the root of that horrible smell (maybe it's all the flowers?) and have your AC looked at. No restaurant in that space has been successful but I wish you the best of luck! The service was great, all the staff was super attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Nice ambiance and vibe in this place, only suggestion would be to play a little more upbeat music. Although I liked the music they played was on the more mellow side, maybe mix it up. Started with aguachile trio, really liked 2 of them there was one which might have been muscles that was a little too fishy for me. I then ordered the enchilada trio, 3 different enchiladas that were outstanding. The wife got a Mexican pasta and it was really tasty. Finished dinner up with a crembrule flan that was great. Had a few cocktails which were. Tried a few of their signature drinks which were good but 2 of them the Paloma and the Rosa were both on the sweeter side which intend to not love as much, but finished with a smoked old fashioned, very good cocktail. I have been working in La Habra for the past 21 years. This particular building has never been able to keep a tenant. The restaurant is beautiful. You're definitely going to pull out your phone or camera to take pictures. The service, outstanding. I however, also care about the quality and taste of food, and enjoy a good drink.... Who doesn't??? I've been here for brunch and dinner. The drinks are delicious and the presentation of the drinks is insta worthy... the 2 parties i was with tried several dishes... The food lacks flavor out of maybe 10 different dishes, 6 lacked flavor. On one of my trips, I had the steak and lobster. There was about 5 of us that ordered the same. Not 1 was satisfied with the flavor of the steak. I wasn't exactly sure how you could mess up a steak because anyone that knows how to cook a good steak, knows you only need salt and pepper. I sent more than half my steak back. Sadly, now that we tried brunch and dinner, we won't be returning. For me, if the food is a hit and miss, that just won't work.
