Bacon, Tomato, Avocado, Eggs Benedict
Irma K.

Love this place! It's one of our favorite places for breakfast! Staff is friendly and outdoor seating is perfect for beautiful Maui days. Our favorite is the Bacon, Tomato, Avocado,Eggs Beni. They have a variety of fresh pastries which goes fast so go early before they run out!

Bacon, tomato, avo benedict

Considering half the menu is Eggs Benedict, I expected a perfect one. I ordered the bacon, tomato, and avo benedict. Unfortunately the poached eggs were underdone and the potatoes that came with the dish were overcooked. The lilikoi vinaigrette that comes on the side salad was not anything special. Food was just okay, but I don't think for its price at almost $26 is worth it. Pretty views from the outdoor seating area! I think the "please wait to be seated" sign should be removed if they tell you to just sit yourself anyway. The two girls taking orders were fine. They also take cash, check, and venmo only.

No dinners for the immediate future. The chef is gone to France. Breakfasts are still great.

We loved this beautiful little place after a morning on Haleakala. We stopped in intending to have lunch but didn't realize on Sundays they only have a brunch menu. So we adjusted our expectations and still had some delightful food. I got the crab cake benedict - which they brought out wrong at first and the waitress was SO overly kind about making it right when it wasn't that big of a deal. So definitely kudos on the customer service. Everything is served with a fresh salad with a bright citrus dressing that my husband and I both really enjoyed. My benedict had tons of flavor and the amount of crab was a great portion size. We sat out on the garden patio and it was just overall a lovely experience with the island breeze blowing through. Also, they take cash check or Venmo for payment, we used Venmo and it was super quick and easy!

Food is well Prepared and flavorful. Service is accommodating to BYOB, with appropriate glasses. Great Patio dining with small tables for an intimate setting.

Beautiful outdoor seating under covered lanai. Very friendly service! Delicious crepes, Benedict's, fresh baked goods & coffees. Enjoyed it all!

Amazing pastries!! Found it sort of by accident driving to coffee chocolate tour. Regular menu looks great as well. Will try and go back for sure.

If you're craving real-deal French pastries on Maui, or just looking for a treat upcountry, La Provence in Kula is the spot. Get there early for the best selection, bring Venmo, cash, or a check (NO credit or debit cards), and be prepared to wait in line....worth it, most definitely. All the baked goods are as delicious as they are beautiful, but I especially love the quiches and the pain au chocolat. I haven't been there for lunch (yet), so can't comment on those menu items. Plenty of parking in the empty lot next door.

We were in the area and you know we had to stop for a Salad Nicoise (with grilled Mahi) and hubby got Mahi sandwich. My apple tart was the perfect ending to my lunch. The Filo crust was light, airy, and crunchy. It was the perfect bed for the perfectly cooked apples with jam. Nothing beats a bakery that makes its own breads and desserts. Freshness can't be beat! PSA: this is a cash only establishment.

** CASH OR CHECK ONLY!! ** (there is an ATM 5min away that you can drive to). They take venmo for dinner but NOT lunch! One of my fav spots in Maui - we stopped by after riding horses @ Thompson ranch. Plenty of seating options, we did have to run and get cash though. Delicious bennies and crepes, they were low on some ingredients when we arrived around 12:30pm (low on bacon, beef, spinach), but substituted for other options, like offering avocado & toast instead of spinach. Would definitely recommend the crab eggs bennie, it was soooo good. Tried lilikoi & nutella sweet crepe (normally would get a sweeter fruit), but ended up liking it more than I thought even though I don't normally care for lilikoi desserts! They also sell pastries that you can buy at the counter if you want to take some to go! Mostly fruity options, we were too full and decided to pass

I've always loved their baking items and lunch offerings so when I heard they were now serving dinner on some nights I jumped at the opportunity to try them. There were three of us and we tried a good selection of menu options. All in all the food was very good and portions were not overwhelming. The green peppercorn gravy was great, on the lamb and the steak. We all had the almond pear tart with whipped cream to top it off and left very full and satisfied. It's a friendly family run restaurant and bakery so if you're a regular customer they'll remember you. Plenty of parking in their own lots. Nice view. Good service. A real gem up in this part of Kula.

I didn't get to dine in this time but I love their crab cake Benedict! Came here for breakfast but the dining area wasn't open until 9, so I got some pastries. Got 2 chocolate croissants and a lemon muffin with ice oat lattes. Chocolate croissants were still warm when we bite into it and the lemon muffin was good very lemony.

Does anyone know if it's cash/check only for dinner service too ? And is it BYOB, can we bring our own bottle of wine?

They have a small parking lot which was full of folks NOT in the store. Ugh! Luckily we were early which meant plenty of street parking. We tried all of our treats and my favorite is the vanilla custard malasada. They are generous with their filling and each of the items are fairly light. Oftentimes fried items become heavy once cooled. Not the cases here. Support this great local business!

We had the Nutella and the Lilikoi, and they are absolute units--massive, beautiful and perfectly executed. The pastry is light and incredibly fluffy, but stays dense and decadent because they don't skimp on the filling (it's actually in the center, not just a garnish on top!). The Lilikoi was a total standout--bright, fresh, and perfectly tart. I found myself breaking off the flaky layers just to dip them into that golden center. If they sold it in jars, I'd be the first in line. If you're looking for the best bakery on the island, this is it! XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

I've never had the cube croissant before so perhaps this is just the style of them. I liked the guava filling but thought the cube croissant part was okay. It did seem like this one had more dough than filling. - Lilikoi Croissant (between $6 and $7) - I found that this croissant was not really flaky. There was a really good filling to croissant ratio in this one. However, I did appreciate the strength of the lilikoi flavor in this croissant, and the filling did taste fresh. - Macadamia Nut Latte ($6.85)- we both got ours iced, 12 ounce and with regular milk. We honestly enjoyed these lattes more than the croissants. The macadamia flavor came through quite strong (in a good way) and was pretty unique. There is a small parking lot and lots of seating inside. We saw a couple chickens wandering around outside when we grabbed our pastries.

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. I don't think you'll find anything subpar. Seems like good offerings.

After only a couple of minute wait, I had my latte and was out the door. My coffee here ended up tasting really good, almost like a cherry vanilla ice cream. The cherry flavor came first and that was followed by the sweet vanilla. While I know the coffee was there, it got lost a bit with the cherry vanilla flavoring. Still, I enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. A cherry vanilla latte is a new combo for me, but I enjoyed it and only wish the espresso was a bit more pronounced.
