Darling little mom and pop bakery with very friendly staff and outstanding baked goods. Those little butter rolls are the perfect comfort food, fluffy and mildly sweet with a great texture.
Excellent butter rolls. This is a neighborhood local spot. We'll definitely make sure to swing by here again on our next visit!
Amazing butter rolls and solid cinnamon rolls! Worth the drive if you haven't been here and worth it if you're visiting. Tiny store with barely any parking, but worth the hassle for the friendly service and awesome baked goods! Worth the visit! Can't count carbs if you're coming here!
This is a small hole in the wall bakery that does a very brisk business. Especially in the mornings. They are known for their butter rolls. We were about 4th in line but the line moves pretty fast. They typically only allow 2 people/pairs at a time as it is very small inside. When people dont adhere to the rules things tend to back up. These are a must try if you love butter with your bread. I swear each roll has half a stick of butter. I also purchased 6 Spanish rolls to compare against Nandings on Oahu. Just as good. After we inhaled about 8 rolls and 3 Spanish rolls the next day, my cousin put the remaining rolls into the airfryer and OMG, didn't think they could get better but they did. Highly recommend but be sure to go early!
Nice bakery with friendly service. We come for the fresh, hot pan de sal. Good price for a bag of 8 or dozen! They have other variety of sweets that's delicious too. They only take Cash so be prepared! I didn't have enough and they were kind and let me have the items. Gotta stop and get your fill when in Wailuku!
What is there not to like about Four Sisters Bakery? There is always a line to go in, they are fast and their baked goods are so delicious. Ive had some amazing butter rolls but Four Sisters is probably my fave. My little one and I made an impromptu visit again this morning and we were not disappointed yet again. We ordered ensamadas, bibinka, malasadas and butterrolls to take home. We love it. Support local always.
Oh my days! Butter freakin' rolls! So glad I went here. Went on a whim and now I am a customer forever. The rolls are so good you'd slap your coworker. Tried the cheese rolls too. Could do without the ensemada topping though, but still good. The butter rolls are the main character here though. Amazing! CASH ONLY
Came here to try out the famous butter rolls. Line moved fast - props to the workers. People were buying dozens!! I got some for myself too. I was elated to see the big slab of butter in the middle. The butter melts on the hot roll and soaks in and it becomes this sweet, slightly salty roll of goodness. Can't go wrong with sweet cream butter and bread. Yum!!! I'll definitely be back!!! It's cash only, so being enough cash!! Parking: Two stalls in the front. A good amount of street parking
Those butter rolls and malasadas! I barely discovered four sisters bakery the day before our flight out. The one time I'll be thankful for a flight delay which meant we had extra time to stop at the bakery on our way to the airport! It's a little storefront with free public parking across the street. Cash only but very reasonable prices especially for the large sized pastries! We had never had butter rolls before and had intended to just get malasadas but after reading the reviews we knew we had to get them. It was all SO delicious! Now my only regret is we'll have to wait till we return to try them again!
If you are a sucker for bread then you have to come here for the butter buns and walked out with a cinnamon roll and two Spanish rolls. The butter buns were hot out of the oven and despite the piece of foil in the box, I still got a light burn on my bare thigh! A small sacrifice for something so absolutely delicious. You all know I'm a hard grader so when I say this is 5 out of 5, 10 out of 10, it has to be exceptional. Melt in your mouth goodness without tasting fatty from the butter. The cinnamon roll is also very soft and has a good amount of cinnamon, thus the name. And nice raisins too. And the ensaimada is very soft, buttery and topped with sugar. A diabetic nightmare, I get it. When on vacation, treat yo self and support local businesses They are cash only and street parking can be a bit of work but it's okay if you have to walk because you need to burn off all the calories from these goodies Mercy!!
Small hole in the wall mom pop shop bakery. Only 2 parking spaces out front. Easiest is to park across the street in the public parking area. One of the very few places you can get malasada in Maui. We stopped by on our way back from Waihe Ridge Trail. I got two vanilla cream filled malasada. It was fresh and so delicious. It really wasn't that big for $3.75 each, but still tasty nonetheless. Would definitely come back if I'm passing through the area again.
These butter rolls are causing a big hype in Maui! And these are absolutely LEGIT!!!! My Maui family and friends often rave about these butter rolls, and had a box ready for me! It is definitely buttery! bread is soft, and fresh. It tasted almost like there might be a sort of sweet dab of filling. I can certainly understand why this place is popular. So delicious! If you get a chance, you need to stop by immediately and get yourself some.
Delicious!!! Get your orders in early! Be prepared for a line! Totally worth the wait. They're very accommodating as well!

A friend who's a local brought the butter rolls and bbq pork bao buns for lunch. Pros- deliciously decadent, every bite!! My mouth is literally watering just thinking about the buns. The most generously filled pork buns I've ever had. The butter rolls too, I've never had anything like it. The butter in the center of the rolls, genius! We are planning to go to the bakery before we leave to get some buns to go!! Cons- it's kinda far from where we are, but that's just because of where we're staying. Mmmmm, can't wait to go and eat more!! Will take better pictures when we go too! read more
Four Sisters Bakery, I remember when visited Maui for the first time, my co-worker loved this bakery and referred me here, I went but thought to myself- ah nothing special, can get this back on Oahu. I stopped by a few more times to give it a try to see why the hype. I made an mistake, I did not get the famous butter rolls - this is why, hehe. I tried the other baked goods. This past visit ( August 2026) this time I had to try the butter rolls, I also saw an Instagram reel on how good the butter rolls are. I asked the hubby to take me here after we had breakfast, got 2 butter rolls & 2 spanish rolls, took a bite of the butter rolls and wow, it really is good ( better than the popular bakery that has butter rolls here on Oahu ) I love that is so soft, buttery and melts in your mouth. I know , no can just have only one- next time! The Spanish rolls were huge in size but they were ok, I rather have the butter rolls. Notes, price increase, cash only, when you walk in to shop, be careful, don't trip as this happen to me, walk up, its not leveled. Shop is very tiny and parking is street parking only. Been in business for 40+ years and yes they are four sisters, but I've never met or seen any of the four sisters, hehe. A kind gentleman- "Manong" helped me during all my visits. They also have some groceries, veggies, fruits for sale. read more

My dad is 85 and a lifelong fan of butter so knew I had to take him here prior to our road to Hana. His eyes lit up sparkly with the first bite! As it was my first time, the man behind the counter was nice. Asked a nurse in line what they get and she said, 'butter rolls'! Pineapple cream cheese also tasty! Cash only. No seating. read more

I know this place is known for their butter rolls but we came here to try their malasadas, banana bread and a cinnamon roll. I also wanted to try their char siu manapua but they did not make them the day of our visit. This is a good local take out bakery since there is no seating in or outside of the bakery. We noticed many locals come here to pick up a couple dozen of their butter rolls so they must be tasty ! We took our sweets and enjoyed them on the beach before doing a beautiful beach path walk so we could walk off some of the calories. Very tasty and I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Note: this bakery is cash only. read more

When visiting Maui, you NEED to stop by for their butter rolls. THE best buttery gooey roll in the world!! We literally drove 30 minutes to get ourselves the butter rolls after people raved about it and even compared it to Nandings in Oahu. Was not disappointed at all and honestly it was better than I could even imagine. read more
Four Sisters is a small bakery in Wailuku that serves up Filipino and Hawaiian baked goods (they also sell some Filipino groceries!). I really did not know what to expect when I came for their butter rolls, but they exceeded any expectations I had! They were soft, sweet, and, of course, buttery!! We had to sneak a taste while in the parking lot and they were soo good fresh. Still good once cooled or reheated though! The taste is similar to Filipino senorita bread. My family really loved them! Next time, we hope to try more items like their Filipino baked goods. Heads up! Lines do form (I came at ~7am), but it goes relatively fast! The inside is also quite small, so it fits maybe 4-8 people at most. read more

The BUTTER ROLLS were amazing! I was dying over these. We drove out of our way (per recommendation) and it was worth it! The Malasadas were good but not amazing! We didn't care for the cream one but don't love cream filled donuts or other items like this but we wanted to give it a try. It's a little hole in wall bakery in the middle of the town. And they were cash only (so bring your cash). I wanted to go back for more but they closed in the afternoon. But yum! read more

Just stopped by to get some butter rolls for my staff. Got me 3 cascarone for my afternoon snack. I didn't know they made them. Very good!. Outsides were crunchy and sweet while the insides were sticky/gooey mochi. Love this place! read more

Went on a Thursday morning around 9am. Staff were quick to take my order. Waited about 5 minutes only and there was a group of 4 and another customer before me. Service was quick and friendly. I pass by the bakery a lot on my way to work and usually see a line by 6:30/7am, but moves at a good pace. This is my second time getting their cinnamon rolls and it has turned into my favorite dessert from them! Usually we would get the butter rolls as that's what they are known for, but their cinnamon rolls are amazing as well. My husband enjoys it as is, but I like my baked items a little warmer, so I just pop it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. It's not dense and has the perfect balance of sweetness and cinnamon, along with the right amount of raisins. I will keep going back for these delightful rolls as they pair well with my morning coffee. 2 Cinnamon Rolls for under $8, delicious, supporting a small long time local business, and didn't spend hours waiting. That's a win for me! Just a heads up, it's cash only. read more

This review is just for the butter rolls. We came visiting from Oahu and we knew our last stop before the airport, was to pick up some fresh butter rolls. We have family that bring it home to us after their trips, but it's so much better hot and fresh! The butter rolls kinda remind me of a Spanish roll, but softer with a lot of butter. Soooo good! One thing to keep in mind here is that it's a hole in the wall on a little side street, you can find parking in the tiny parking lot across the entrance, and they only take cash! Can't wait to come back and get another butter roll fix! read more
My daughter always raves about their butter roll so of course, we had to make this stop to bring it back to Oahu. Apparently, they're known for this roll because there's a lot of pics and reviews people posted and wrote about. We called in our order for 3 dozen just in case they sell out. When we got there, they only had 1 box with a dozen packed for us. Luckily, they could fill the missing 2 dozen that we ordered...whew! The rolls were piping hot...my husband and I should've tried one at that time. When we ate it the next day, we heated it up in the microwave and thought it was soft and tasty but didn't see the difference from butter rolls we bought from our local bakeries other than the bottom of each roll was drenched in a LOT of butter. FYI: - CASH ONLY - Only street parking - Should eat the butter rolls when you first pick up while it's hot and fresh - Cheaper by the dozen, you save $0.44. Not much but better than nothing :-) read more
