I've always had a pleasant experience but my fave is their Caesar salad and pan con bistec. Their lechon is also heavenly but no matter what you order the amount of food is plenty. Such a sad experience! The lady was very dismissive towards me and didn't acknowledge me at the counter. $10 card minimum was inconvenient for me but i understand that's the times we leave in. But after I walked back to my hotel to scrap the $1.50 from my purse and to have the lady not take my 5 cents because they were in pennies is crazy. It's not until I showed her my coin purse to let her know that's all I had she slammed my money down and gave me HALF the espresso. I didn't even want to argue or share my grievances because she wanted to get me out and embarrassed me. I've heard a lot about La Paris from my husband. He works downtown and eats here practically every day. It was about time I checked it out for myself to see what my nightly dinners were being compared to. If I wasn't with a regular, I definitely wouldn't have known where to go. The entrance is pretty nondescript, as is the inside. The "Paris" theme comes through via a few random photos and paintings of the Eiffel tower on the wall. Other than that, it's pretty much a lot of tables and chairs crammed into close quarters. It was packed, too! Ok, so why come here day after day? The food is pretty darn good and CHEAP. I was urged to order the vaca frita and you a choice of two sides between rice and beans (red or black), salad, vegetables, tostones, and maduros. I opted for rice and black beans, as well as salad. My better half got pollo a la plancha with vegetables and rice and red beans. We also got a fresh limonada with little sugar to sip on. All of this food was $19! And I had enough food to have leftovers the next day. Depending on what you order, you can be pretty healthy here, or go crazy and get other Cuban favorites like pollo empanizado or a medianoche. The rice, beans and meat were spot on (especially with some fresh lime). The salad I would pass on, but maybe get the veggies instead. Would I go out of my way to come here? No. However, it's definitely an easy, casual, and tasty option for my husband, so I'm fine leaving him in the friendly staff's hands day after day! Let me begin by clarifying that this restaurant is NOT in Brickell, but in Downtown Miami, and yes, there's a difference. My co-workers constantly order breakfast and lunch from here, and always had positive things to say about the food, quality, and the price, so on one of those days that I did not feel like brown bagging my lunch, I decided to give them a try. They had a grilled chicken salad for $7, which seemed pretty reasonable to me, and free delivery. How can you go wrong? The salad arrived in less than 20 minutes, which was pleasantly surprising, and had a good amount of chicken (an entire boneless, skinless breast), and a hearty lettuce and tomato portion. I still could not believe it was only $7. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and the balsamic vinaigrette provided a tangy flavor while not causing a dent in my diet. Very flavorful, healthy, fresh salad. No wilted leaves. I have never been to the restaurant, but I imagine it's probably a very small, humble location. I would definitely order from here again. By far the worst location to eat at in Miami. I ordered food which was never delivered. I called the store and they did not answer the phone. When I called again they answered the phone and claimed to only speak spanish. So i drove to the restaurant and witnessed them ignoring the phone. When i went inside to speak about the incident surprisingly enough every one spoke English. So you basically have a business run by a bunch of lazy liars. I would warn anyone from ordering here. If you need to satisfy your hunger with a quick cuban bite then this place can take care of that need -- especially if you're stuck in downtown. I went here for lunch with 5 of my co-workers today and it is my new secret place in downtown Miami for a quick Cuban meal. The service was fast and the food was good. Everybody at the table after tip and tax had a bill under $10. Who does not like the sound of that? Some days they take foreverrrrr to deliver.
