The croqueta and that Cuban coladita was all i needed for the Brickell run. The service was fast and efficient and the ambiance seemed to be nice from what I saw from the outside . But definitely hit the spot for me that day.

Casual family restaurant with great Cuban Sandwiches The room is no frills, the food is the reason to visit. The Cuban Sandwiches are delicious and the Milk Shakes are a perfect drink to enjoy with a sandwich. The staff is helpful and attentive.

A legitimate gem in Miami Beach. At a time where everywhere is overpriced, Latin Cafe delivers good food at reasonable prices. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and inside was quiet and welcoming. It's nice to know there's still small, affordable restaurants in the beach. We will definitely be back.

This is a gem in mid-beach! Ambiance: very ordinary greasy spoon with bar seating and dated tables. Service: the ladies are quick to wave you to a table and get your order! Food came out in 5-10min and was hot and tasty. Definitely mom-n-pop vibes. Food: I felt like I was eating lunch at my friend's house. This is a good sign. Homey, good portions, great prices. The salad was plain but I preferred that with the grilled and seasoned tilapia! They have oil and vinegar at the table to dress your veggies. They also have beer/wine, and house-squeezed orange juice! So glad to find this place and take a break from resort prices!

    Raw chicken

I ordered the chicken plate and I found raw chicken underneath the pile after eating a few bites. Disgusting, and unsafe cooking from this place

    Delicious - much meat

Great food, great place - recommend , the place had great atmosphere, the food was amazing the meat omelette had plenty of meat and cheese. We lived it

Masitas de Puerco (fried pork chunks, $12.99) with Yuca and Side Salad

Located a quick hop away from the popular Mid-Beach portion of Miami Beach, Latin Cafe is a charming little diner-style eatery serving up large portions of tasty food at an affordable price! The restaurant itself is small, with about a dozen tables stocked with sauces, salt, and pepper - you can seat yourself, and then a server will come to take your order, or you can order up at the front table for quick takeout. Everyone here was so kind and friendly, and service was quite efficient - my party of four popped in at around 12:30pm on a Monday and were promptly seated. Two of my friends ordered the Pan con Bistec (Steak Sandwich, $9.99/each), which comes with a generous portion of steak (cooked to your liking, which is a nice bonus) on a roll with pickles, onions, mayonnaise, mustard, and cheese. They both cited it as one of the best sandwiches they've ever had - it was flavorful and moist without getting soggy, and at under $10, rivaled the price of most fast food chains! Another member of my party ordered their Pollo Asado (Roasted Chicken, $9.99), which comes with a grilled chicken quarter of a thigh and a leg marinated in a sweetly tart sauce. Additionally, all meat entrees come with two generous portions of sides, making this much cheaper (and in my opinion, more filling), than a place like Chipotle or Cava. My friend really enjoyed the juicy chicken with crispy skin, and the side salad and moros (mixed rice and beans) that she chose for her side were nice and filling. Lastly, I ordered the Masitas de Puerco (Fried Pork Chunks, $12.99). I didn't really know what to expect, but I was served up a generous portion of decadent, melt-in-your-mouth chunks of pork (almost like pulled pork burnt ends) with a crispy exterior. Some parts of the pork had become a little dry, but the portion was so large anyways that I just cut them off. As for my sides, I also chose the side salad (very fresh-tasting), as well as their yuca (cassava), which if you haven't had, tastes kind of like a cross between a mashed potato and a dim-sum turnip cake. It was filling and savory, pairing nicely with the fresh onions on top, but I did find that it became a bit greasy over time. All in all, we all left full for under $15/person including tip and tax, which is hard to come by in Miami Beach! Everyone enjoyed their food, service was friendly and efficient, and our wallets were left relatively unscathed - this is definitely worth a trip if you're looking for tasty, affordable eats in the area!

What happend to this place? Another miami beach trap. The ocean is 3 blocks away however they have frozen fish and shrimp and it's not even local!! The masas de puerco were dry and bland Fast service with below average food.

Food was delicious, service was great, we were welcomed in and taken care of quickly. The ambiance has a family style atmosphere. Restaurant itself is older but food and service made up for decor. I ordered the #10 grilled pork chops with cassava and mixed beans and rice. My wife got the fried pork chunks with white rice and sweet plantain. Both dishes were so good. I would recommend to check it out, especially if staying at Cadillac hotel or any hotels near there. Not much options near hotel but Latin cafe was a 10-12 minute walk.

Plantains. Beans and rice. Chicken and steak with peppers. Perfectly flavored.

Ambiance is ok. Food and service were perfecto! Our waitress was kind and attentive. She recommended the chicken and steak mixed with plantains and rice and beans. So much food and delicious. My daughter had empanadas and croquets and plantains and coffee. All really good. Affordable too!

This little tucked away spot has great food and excellent service. That's all you really need to know. We enjoyed the chicken milenaesa, with black beans and rice, and sweet plantains. All were what you would expect. Nothing fancy, just great food. Top that off with a delicious banana chocolate smoothie drink, a coffee and a pastry. A great meal at a fair price. On top of that, the service was great as well. Highly recommend.

Camarones al Ajillo with rice, beans and Maduros

Absolutely wonderful! In a touristy beach area that is overpriced, Latin Cafe is a breath of fresh air. It's a simple Mom n Pop restaurant but it serves it's purpose. The most expensive item is the Churrasco Skirt Steak at $18.99, all Shrimp dishes at $14.99 for 7pcs of shrimp and the large soups are $5-6 just to give an example of the menu prices. I ordered a dish that wasn't on the menu. Camarones al Ajillo with rice & beans and Maduros (sweet plantains) for $15.99. I also ordered a Cuban Soup, 2 chicken Empanadas, a croquette and a Papa Relleno. The rice was absolutely perfect! As you can see from my pics, I wiped the plate clean! The empanada melted in your mouth. It was so good I ordered another. I could eat here every day! Is the atmosphere like Mangos? No, but I'd have this anytime without being nickel and dimed especially if on a value budget. Another great point to note is that both the Collins Express Trolley and the Middle Beach Trolley stop close by. You'll see a lot of locals dining here. A side note: I was chatting with some locals and they shared a shot of Cortada with me. This place is like a little bit of home. I highly recommend. Salud

The service was good, the Cubano was dry and the moros were plentiful but only vaguely flavorful. The room was comfortable - well lit and well spaced with many regulars and a happy vibe. Prices were on the low side for the area. Honestly, I just wish the food had been a little tastier - I'm going to give it another shot one of these days because I want to like the place more than the three stars I have to give it today.

We ordered the Cuban sandwich and the Cuban burger, and honestly both were dangerously good. The Cuban sandwich was exactly what you hope for -- crispy bread, perfectly pressed, packed with flavor, and the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite and just nod at the person across from you like "yep... this was the right decision." The Cuban burger was also fantastic -- juicy, flavorful, and big enough that you start questioning whether you should have skipped breakfast. The area around the restaurant was great too. Nice vibe, good energy, and perfect for walking around before or after eating... which you will probably need to do after finishing that burger. The servers were good -- friendly, attentive, and thankfully didn't judge us for attacking the food like we hadn't eaten in three business days. Overall the place has a fun atmosphere, great Cuban comfort food, and the kind of menu that makes you want to come back just to try the things you didn't order the first time. The roasted pork was tender, juicy, and packed with savory garlic-forward flavor. It was comforting, flavorful, and paired really well with the traditional sides. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made the dining experience smooth even during a busy time. The vibe is lively and colorful, with a nostalgic Cuban café atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel festive and welcoming. It's a great spot for groups, casual dinners, or anyone looking to enjoy classic Cuban comfort food. Overall, a really solid Cuban meal with bold flavors and generous portions. I'd come back to try more of their traditional dishes and cocktails.

I'm giving 3 stars for the service. Our server was nice, but there were a few things I wasn't too happy about. We were offered still or sparking water, so I said "still". I should've asked for tap water but it didn't cross my mind. The water was $12 which was a surprise since it was almost the price of the food! When I paid by card, the server with the credit card machine was on the phone speaking with the manager in Spanish. The screen of the credit card machine was faced away the whole time so we wouldn't have been able to see the total. It was a bit shocking being charged almost $37 for one dish that cost $17! The service charge is ~20% and already included in the bill. Even though the food was good, I felt a bit icky from this experience so I won't come again when I'm in Miami Beach. If it was only one of the above I would've been able to brush it off easier, but the combination of being charged for expensive water + not being shown the total before being charged + server being on the phone + 20% service charge before tip was quite a lot. I sat outside and it was really nice being right on the sidewalk and people watching! Cute restaurant and great location right in the heart of Miami Beach.
