Got there at 5ish, and had a few patrons and kinda quiet. Very clean, music playing. The staff were SO FRIENDLY! They let me sample the tamarind drink = yummy. We ordered CARNE DESILADA CON HUEVO with French bread vs tortilla, I had the TACOS DE LENGUA and a TAMALES DE POLLO. Every bite was amazing for us both! I gotta say I have judged restaurants solely for their tamales alone, and this is literally one of the best I have ever had. It was huge with a giant tender piece of chicken in it, with a potato, tomato and chickpeas in it! Very unique but the taste...goodness. I want to go back now for another but I am FULL. The Lengua street tacos were on point, delicious. My husband's breakfast dish was fantastic he said, just enough. And he was SO HAPPY he chose the French bread, because apparently that was delicious. He wouldn't let me taste it, it was so good! We wanted to try the BUDIN (Salvadoran-style banana bread pudding) but they were sold out, likely because it was super delicious as well! Next time... Needless to say, we will be back and I'm going to brag to my office mates about this place. Please, try them out!

Truly wonderful! Warmly greeted on entering both in Spanish…read moreand then English, probably because I looked at the Spanish. I do get mistaken for a Spanish speaker an awful lot. Freshly prepared food that the lady serving apologized for taking up to twenty minutes to make. Better fresh than buying off the shelf! Delicious! I got the cheese Arepo, and the tropical. For the same price as a subway, you got a whole lot more flavor and texture. The wife got the chicken and cheese, she declared then worthy of being on our rotation of places we go to.

What a fab addition to the Frederick food scene! I had no idea how much I would adore arepas before…read moreI tried them. Now, the plan is to work my way through all of their arepas. Today I had the Domino (seasoned black beans and feta cheese) and I ate every last morsel. Previously, on the advice of the super friendly man at the counter ( the owner?) I got the King and demolished it too. The King has plaintains, which I've never been a fan of, but wow, the way they prepare plantains makes them beyond delicious. Did I mention that all of the arepas are GF? So thrilling to go into a place and be able to enjoy much of the menu! (If you're celiac or have an intolerance to gluten, you'll know what I'm talking about. Pro tip: Get at least one extra sauce for your arepa. The Domino comes with one container of their avocado sauce, and remembering how I scraped out every morsel the last time, I ordered two. Two sauces got me through the arepa, but honestly, I could've enjoyed a third.

The waiter was patient and easy going, especially for such a busy time. The food was well seasoned and portions plentiful. The biscuit that came with the combo was a cheese biscuit, however the menu didn't mention the cheese otherwise we would have asked for a plain biscuit (looking forward to having jelly with it, but not so much on a cheese biscuit), but regardless, it was a good biscuit. I look forward to visiting again next time in town, trying their dinner/ tapas.

The décor is colorful and warm, with Spanish-inspired art. On this brisk cold afternoon there was also a cozy brick fireplace in full working mode located in the back of the main dining area that adds to the charm. Our server was excellent--friendly, organized, and very mindful of our need to finish in time for the show. She handled separate checks, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was the highlight. We ordered full brunch meals, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The house-made chorizo, flavorful sauces, and Eggs Benedict (with the option of a fresh biscuit instead of an English muffin) were especially good. Overall, we had a great experience. The menu is large, the atmosphere is inviting, and we'd happily return the next time we're in Frederick.
