What a charming restaurant, with delicious food and good service. We went here for the paella for dinner, and I completely forgot to take a picture of it! It also wasn't busy, which was nice.

Oops! Caught my face! Interior of restaurant.

Date night before a concert at the Saban Theater. This quaint restaurant has the charm of a small family owned Spanish restaurant. As much as we loved the ambiance, the food was the winner. We started with 2 tapas; potatoes and crusty bread with fresh tomato spread. My husband ate so much, he had little room for the main course; paella, of course. They had a few options and I chose the paella marinera with seafood (shell fish). I cleared my plate. Very delicious. We each had a drink, with our meal, and decided to go full Spain. I had the Vermouth Blanco and my husband had the sangria. The service was perfect, from host to waiter to busboy. They were there when we needed them and we never felt rushed or had to wait for refills of water or anything. We're already discussing when we can go back.

Excellent paella tastes almost as if you're in Spain. Sangria was delicious as well and the tapas were also very good. I used to come here when I was younger growing up here. Owners are very nice as well as the servers and bus boys.

If you are into paella then this is the place to go! The food and service is superb. We ordered the mixed seafood paella and they bring it out and serve it up to you individually. The ambiance and the decor were very much Spain inspired. Definitely coming back again.

Very good restaurant, tasty food, service is very nice, friendly host, there's paid parking in front of the restaurant, clean restrooms, it is a little small and it may get little noisy

So get this I take this chica from Barcelona here one night, real cultured type, accent like silk, knew her way around a Rioja. I wanted to impress, right? Boom, La Paella in Beverly Hills. Dim lighting, good energy, smells like someone's abuela's been in the kitchen since sunrise. I'm talkin real deal. We sit down, they bring us sangria. Fruity but not kiddie. It's how sangria should be done. I had two before the appetizers hit and still didn't feel bloated, which is rare for me. Now the tapas? Money. Papas Bravas crispy outside, fluffy inside, little spicy kick. Just like Johnny likes 'em. Gambas al Ajillo shrimp so garlicky I felt it in my shoulders. Tortilla Española solid. Not dry, which is key. Calamares a la Romana light breading, didn't go soggy. Respect. And the mushrooms? Don't even get me started. Like little earthy flavor bombs. I actually groaned a little and scared the hostess. Then came the Paella Valenciana Mixta. Seafood, chicken, the whole orchestra. They let me sub out the regular rice for bomba rice. Never heard of it before, but the name alone had me fired up. Bomba. Sounds like somethin Stallone would eat before a final fight scene. Midway through the meal the waiter comes by, super nice guy, asks if Vince would mind if they put his photo up on the wall. Said they loved Aquaman. Vince smiles, says sure. Then they just... walk away. No camera, no "Hey Drama, you mind too?" Nothing. Felt like Medellín all over again. Whatever. I'm not bitter. Vince paid the bill. Class act. Look, I've been to Spain. Shot part of a pilot there once before the network ghosted me. This place? Closest thing to home I've felt in years. Flavors were deep. Service was on point. That Barcelona girl texted me the next day just to say thank you. We didn't work out, but the meal lived on. Pro tip: Hit this spot during happy hour. You'll feel like you're winning at life. Johnny Drama Actor. Tapas Veteran. Sangria Loyalist. "If I had a euro for every flavor in that bomba rice, I'd finally finance Viking Quest: España."

How did I nearly forget to write a review for LA Paella? We celebrated 2024 Christmas Eve at LA Paella because we didn't want to stay in to cook a family dinner and needed a break from eating Asian cuisine. My brother-in-law had made the dinner reservations well before the upcoming Holiday, and we expected to find a bustling yet welcoming Central L.A. Spanish restaurant. My brother-in-law and friends have dined here previously and frequently raved about the authentic homemade-style Spanish cuisine. Based on our welcoming and friendly reception upon entry, we looked forward to dining at this comfortable and homey restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated in a corner facing the main dining room. Our male server was kind, amicable, and efficient. Unfortunately, I didn't get the server's name because of his hustle through the crowd he was responsible for. The noise level was lively and festive. FOOD: We started by sharing a carafe of red Sangria, assorted hot and cold tapas, and a mixed green salad before jumping into our paella. The tapas that we ordered were Croquetas de Pollo (fried chicken croquettes), Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp sautéed with garlic and chilis), Calamares a la Plancha (grilled squid with garlic & parsley), Aceitunas Variadas (mixed green & black olives), Ensaladilla Rusa (tuna, potato & mayonnaise salad) and Pan Alioli/Tapenade (housemade bread served with aïoli & tapenade). Our foursome shared the huge Ensalada Orgánica Variada (mixed organic salad with tarragon dressing). Because it was our first time to dine here, my brother-in-law cautioned us to order the paella for two and maybe one entree to share. It was a good thing for his cautionary words because by the time our Paella Valenciana Mixta (rice, saffron, pork, seafood, chicken, and vegetables) and Parrillada de Carne (mixed grilled meats: pork, chorizo, chicken, and lamb) about 45-minutes later, we were stuffed from the tapas so we took home some of our mixed grill and paella. I didn't dare look at the dessert menu because I was so full from eating and drinking, but our dinnermates did confirm that LA Paella makes a fantastic flan. Although the paella and mixed grill were authentic and luscious, should we return, we'd make a meal of tapas, sangria, and dessert. 4.4 stars

My BFFS and I have been holding girls' night here for 10+ years! We come here at least 4 times a year. It's like having a cozy dinner in a cutesy home somewhere in Spain countryside. Best authentic tapas and sangria in LA, in our opinions. Friendly family-ish service. We love the ambience and the food. Metered parking on the street. (Owner is from Valencia, Spain. iykyk)

My brother-in-law and his girlfriend have often raved about how delicious this place is, calling it their top favorite and visit frequently. We finally got to try La Paella tonight, and it was truly AMAZING. The tapas were outstanding. We ordered three of each: caracoles al ajillo, calamares a la plancha, croquetas de pollo, and pulpo a la gallega, along with the paella marinera for six. The paella does take about 30 minutes to prepare, but it was well worth the wait. The server came out to present our paella and served our plates beautifully from the pan. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The service was excellent, with our drinks and new plates frequently refreshed without us needing to ask. I'm already looking forward to returning to try more items from their menu!

Our family had a great time here! We loved everything from the tasty tapas and flavorful paella to the sweet desserts. The sangria was super refreshing. Service was friendly and on point. The place has a cozy vibe, perfect for a chill, intimate dinner. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!

If you love Spanish food, this place is the absolute best! Their tapas are amazing as well as their Caesar salad with homemade dressing -- and their paellas are truly exceptional! Everything is cooked to perfection. The servers are always kind and friendly and they do an excellent job serving/plating the paellas. I love the ambiance -- it's very quaint, authentic, and really makes you feel like you're in Spain!

The bruschetta was super fresh, light, and a great starter. The tomatoes were juicy and bright with that classic garlic and basil flavor. Nonna's meatball was also really good. It was tender and the marinara that had that slightly sweet, tomato-forward flavor with parmesan melted into it. And paired with the bread, it felt very comforting. The rigatoni vodka was solid. Pasta was cooked well, nice and al dente, and the sauce was creamy and so rich. The margherita pizza was a little on the smaller side, but honestly perfect for the two of us ladies to share alongside everything else. The tiramisu was a really nice way to finish the meal. Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again!
