I must first compliment our server this evening and while there observing all the servers- everyone was pleasant and smiling and attentive. The perfect amount of attention through the meal. I was disappointed though in my meal. I had chicken Victoria it was supposed to have pan seared chicken with mushrooms spinach and sun dried tomatoes over angel hair pasta. The ingredients were there but the chicken had no flavor. The sauce for the chicken was tasty but the sun dried tomatoes were overpowering and almost bitter. The sauce if separate was good. The angel hair pasta was a good portion and cooked well. The portion was generous considering it was costly.

Amazing Dinner for 2, included appetizers, motzzarela sticks, calamary, octopus, gorgonzola bread, and bruchetta, A bottle of wine, cesar salad, a cup of clam showder plus entres: Scrod picatta and NY Stip . This special is really good deal for amazing food, Even if this special is avalable a couple times a week is worth it! The view and service are really great!

I just love the Contemporary design of this restaurant and it's it's on the waterfront. I'm very confused about the low ratings for this wonderful restaurant. We had wonderful service. Our waitress Jakeea was just a be light and she handled everything fast and courteous. I did encounter a problem with the main dish that I ordered I ordered the surf and turf which includes a strip steak but clearly it was a sirloin they handled it and made everything satisfactory I get that we're humans and sometimes we mix up things. I ordered an appetizer from their specials menu artichokes Francaise. I have to admit that it was my first time trying artichokes Française but since at a different restaurant I ordered a fried cheese from say and it was a delight I had to try it with artichokes. It did not disappoint!!! Also tried their in-house made cream of mushroom soup made with fresh portobello mushrooms and a nice creamy base. I also had the surf and turf which featured a New York strip. And two shrimp with their in-house made seafood stuffing. It's okay with the baked potato and vegetable mix on the side. We also ordered for dessert a death by chocolate cake which I think they called chocolate mousse. I can't wait to actually go outside when it's a beautiful day out and eat on their patio overlooking the Waterfront.

I really wanted to give La Notte a better score...but the food just did not support it. My wife and I had dinner here recently. the location has seen several incarnations over the years. This is the first time we have visited since the pandemic, and were looking forward to a nice dinner with a view. Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional, knowing to be both attentive without hovering. I ordered their 14 oz. NY steak, which came with baked potato and mixed vegetables. The salad, though a bit small, was fresh, and served on a chilled plate. The main course was a disappointment. The steak, ordered medium, was slightly overdone...not a major thing...but it was only about 1/2 inch thick, seemed to be about half the size of the promised 14 oz. and did not really resemble any NY strip I've seen in the past. Worse yet were the vegetables, a combination of yellow and green squash, carrots and broccoli florets, which were over-cooked, dull, unseasoned and mushy...obviously cooked way too early and left on the steam table too long. Even if the steak met expectations, this accompaniment would have brought the whole meal down a few notches. La Notte does a healthy catering business, and there was a large party there that night. Perhaps it would be best if they concentrated on that part of the business, and offer fare on the restaurant side which is easier to prepare ala carte. I hope they make every effort to maximize their quality.

I visited this restaurant since it was the closest steakhouse to our hotel on a recent work trip…read more We tried to order iced tea....and they said they have it..but they would have to brew some. Apparently iced tea is a no no to order in the fall or winter in small town Connecticut. I chose their 14oz prime ribeye for what seemed to be a good price of only $40. It comes with the mixed veggies (Broccoli. Carrots. Squash) and potato of the day (homemade mashed potatoes). The steak was a bit chewy and did not seem to be a typical prime cut of beef I am used to getting back in Texas. Maybe prime beef in Connecticut isn't as good quality, who knows. The homemade bread that comes out before the dinner is good but hard. It's also very garlicky. Service was a bit awkward. Our waitress came by halfway through and said she was checking to make sure we were well taken care of...but my tea was almost empty and she just walked off and didn't say she'd refill it. I eventually had to flag her down a few mins later to ask for a refill. At fancy restaurants, they just fill it without you asking. She also messed up my colleagues meal. He asked for no squash and the chef seemed to put extra squash on his plate. She should have remembered that he didn't want squash. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I just expected more from a fancy restaurant. You pay a little more for better food and better service, but we didn't get that here.

They were very meaty, and the medium buffalo sauce coating them was definitely on point, along with the blue cheese dressing served on the side We also ordered a large Jim's special pizza, which consisted of hamburger, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, which was thick like a Greek style This was a large enough pie to feed five of us with two pieces to bring home. Nice job Jim's. The pie was $23 for the special, and I think it was $13 for the buffalo wings. We tipped generously because we stayed there a little bit overtime, speaking with our friend that we took from the convalescent home for a few hours I look forward to coming back here. It's definitely worth multiple visits.

The turkey club I ordered was different, but also excellent. Different in the sense that it was served on thinly sliced and toasted Italian bread. It was also Dagwood-sized, and my pearly whites had a difficult time fitting it in my biggggg mouth (as Ralph Kramden would say). Turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon all in abundance. Came w French fries and some pickle medallions. Very tasty and reasonably priced. One more thing about Jim's. In business since 1966, and does a lot for the community. As one example, a few years ago, Jim's donated an enormous amount of food at a benefit to help a cancer survivor pay medical and other bills. Kudos to them always! 4 and 1/2 stars

From the moment we arrived, the front desk area felt disorganized and overcrowded. The young hostesses were not very welcoming and didn't greet guests with a smile or provide direction on where to stand or wait, which made the entrance experience awkward and chaotic. There is no bathroom downstairs so you would have to go upstairs for the restrooms The restaurant was offering a $70 prefix menu, which honestly did not feel worth the cost. For that price, you only received soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert. I really think an appetizer should have been included considering the price point, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. We were seated downstairs near the kitchen, and it was extremely warm and uncomfortable down there during the meal. On a positive note, the service itself was fairly quick, and our waiter was very attentive and friendly, which was appreciated. Overall though, the atmosphere, organization, and value for the money left us disappointed. This did not include drinks and automatic gratuity was included in the bill since we had a party of 6.
