Had a very nice lunch here today. Nona's is your prototypical small family-owned pizzeria restaurant - think half a dozen booths and half a dozen tables. Think a very broad menu with soups, salads, appetizers, pasta dishes, Italian entrees, fried and baked seafood, two dozen different grinders, wraps, sandwiches, club sandwiches, burgers and dogs, calzones, and 18 different pizzas. That should take care of 99% of the public. I paid $12 for a cup of lentil soup ($2.25), an Italian Wrap with fries ($7.50) and a Coke. Everything was fine. The soup was served piping hot and was delicious. The Wrap had a lot of meat on it, alongside some chopped lettuce and mayo. It was served with a small cup of good cole slaw and some excellent hot and crispy fries. Service was attentive from a friendly server. The cook chatted with me when I paid the bill, everyone was nice. You'll also get $5 off of $15 with your Yelp Check In. The only odd thing about my experience here had nothing at all to do with Nonni's. There was a mother and two real creepy looking kids having lunch in the back. One of the kids got up, looked straight at me, and walked right at me as though he was gonna pick a fight or brain me with a napkin holder. LOL, that was pretty disconcerting!!

It was alright, nothing to fancy to write home about. Not much Italian going on there, more like American deep fried cooking... but if ya like that kinda stuff, alright. I am not gonna make a trip back

It's been many years since I last dined here, shame on me as Nonna's has a very good quality Greek style pie. I ordered a small 10" pizza with sausage and mushrooms; I was pleasantly surprised it came with fresh mushrooms, not always the case in many pizzerias. Good quality cheese, sausage, a perfectly cooked crunchy bottom crust with a good pizza sauce, you just can't ask for much more. I felt the quality to price ratio at $9.45 was a very good value; I would return not only for pizza but to sample items on the dinner menu as well. Service was fast, efficient with my order arriving quickly from the kitchen.

Decided to check out this pizza place after looking in yelp and Groupon. It was before a volleyball game and we needed something quick but not fast food. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick bite to eat!

Jays special pizza. no you don't have to be special to eat it

This place has amazing italian food. For such a small place its menu is huge (bigger than chilis for example). It has everything from pizzas to grinders to classic italian dinners. The service is quick and if you become a regular you are always greeted by a friendly smile. The food is of incredible quality with hearty portions. Their main courses are delicious but I think their specialty are their mozz sticks and fries. Crispy, fresh and probably made with love by nonna herself. This place is a bargain for the price you pay and the quality of the food. Would recommend it to anyone!

Pretty decent pizza. Got a sausage and cheese. My preference is New York style, which is quite a bit thinner than the crust here. No real complaints. Order was ready quickly and correct and the staff was great.

Great food, friendly staff, nice clean and bright atmosphere. Can be busy due to auto auction traffic but reasonable prices.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday around brunch time and it was busy, but we got a spot at the bar and they still had a few extra seats. Menu had a good selection of sharables all for decent prices and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time while being super fresh. Hummus was amazing - super great to dip the bread in. Sizes of the dishes were just right, a little small for me but average I'm sure for others. Shrimp and mussels were great whole the artichoke was okay - would probably skip that next time. Overall, great flavors and super tasty - thanks, Zohara!

We ordered Muhamara (Salatim) when drink order was taken. Server was busy so the next time he came by we placed the rest of our order -- Rhode Island calamari, Batata hara, Moroccan cigars, and braised lamb couscous. We enjoyed all of that but no couscous came. When we got the dessert menu to see if my daughter wanted any, we also checked with the server about the lamb. He said the order was placed but the kitchen might have missed it. We decided to remove it from the bill. I can only imagine how busy this restaurant is on Friday through the weekend. The open kitchen was a nice touch.

Had such a fantastic dinner this evening at Gveenah, definitely going to make this place a regular…read morespot. I was tempted to write a bad review just so this restaurant doesn't become too crowded, but this restaurant deserves all the praise. The interior was small and a little loud, but they're moving a few doors down soon to a bigger restaurant which am I very excited to see! Even though it was almost completely full, they made accommodations to get us a seat as walk-ins. Our waitress was fantastic and attentive despite serving the entire dining room. She made some excellent recommendations of dishes to try and was very enthusiastic. For food, we tried the chefs bread which came with delish dips (my favorite being the delicious yogurt and eggplant). They even had gluten free bread that was fresh baked. It is without a doubt the best gluten free bread I've had at a restaurant. We also tried the salmon tagliatelle which was creamy, fresh, and delicious and the short rib gnocchi which was homey and comforting. Only complaint, maybe a little too much parsley. Even though we were stuffed, we had to try dessert since everything else was so fantastic. We tried the iced pistachio crème brûlée and the Caramel cheesecake. The cheesecake wasn't your traditional New York slice you'd expect, but it was light and doused in delicious caramel. The iced pistachio crème brûlée was out of this world, I didn't think I'd finish it but ended up basically licking the plate. Everything was amazing. Take the drive off of Blue Back Square and try this place out next time you visit West Hartford, you won't regret it!

Great option for an intimate, no frills, BYOB dinner with friends. There is ample parking in the lot. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and food overall was great-- especially the bread dishes. Both the sabich flatbread and the jerusalem bagel tastes very freshly baked, with a nice crust and chew. Really balanced, natural flavors in the toppings of the flatbread and the dips for the chef's bread. The cook on the branzino was also great-- extremely tender and well seasoned. I got the oxtail raviolis and while the pasta was a nice al dente and the meat filling was flavorful, it was a little cold on the inside of the raviolis (maybe due to their size). My friend said the cheese raviolis in beet sauce was also nice, and the portions for the entrees were fair. I will say the malabi was small for $10, a little smaller than a yoplait cup-- not especially unique in flavor or texture, and I wouldn't order it again especially for the price. Overall good food, and would definitely come back for their fish dishes and flatbreads-- hopefully in their new space.
