a hand holding a bottle of wine

Dimitri's is a really beautiful place! My first time here and it did not disappoint! Parking is well lit, but there are 2 doors near/at the entrance?? I chose the right door upon entering-hey I had a 50/50 shot! When I met my friends, who were already there and had drinks, the waitress came right up and greeted me. When my glass of wine was delivered, it was in a very dingy glass. Thankfully, the new glass of wine was in a very clean glass-this is why not 5 stars-I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Our waitress left for the evening and our waiter, Blair, was super cool, attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered a small, cheese pizza that was hand stretched. Who knew there was anything other than hand stretched ‍. It was excellent!! I wish I didn't have to share it with 4 other people. The wine I ordered was so good, Blair let one of my friends try a small taste without charging us. I took a picture of the bottle in case I want to buy a bottle on my own. We had so much fun that we decided to make this a monthly thing! We're coming back, Dimitri's!!

This has been bookmarked for some time. I wish I would have gone sooner. Located on the Tolland side of Coventry. Nice clean building. Server kind. One of the best lamb gyros I've ever had. Fresh tomatoes really set off with tender slices of lamb and cucumber sauce. Fries of the frozen variety. Companion had the New York strip;flavor reported as good but tough.

If waiting for an hour for 1 grinder after being quoted 35 mins sound like fun, then this place is for you.

Wicked Slice - Egg Steak and Cheese Eggrolls

Basic pizza shop…read more I've passed by this location a bunch of times, and always liked the design of the place but never enough to try it. Decided to make a lunch trek, and see if they were any good. Coming in, there's a single person manning the helm. We thumb through the menu then flag them down to order. We get a smattering of slices, the loaded fries and the steak and cheese egg rolls. We were not sure where the blackened pizza slice came from on the kitchen floor, but we ignored it and opted to eat to go. Food came out reasonably quick. Took our pics then swapped bites. The egg rolls were as described. Steak and cheese in a wonton fried. Very one note, crispy and greasy with only a weak cheese sauce flavor. Not bad, but basic. The fries were very much college dorm nachos style. They had a thin coat of cheese over matchstick fries with toppings that fell through to the bottom. The cheese solidified quickly which welded the fries together into a giant clump. Not great, but if it's late at night and you're drunk they do scratch that greasy horribleness itch one can get. The pizza had a good crust, but the sauce and cheese were lackluster. The dough was fresh and cooked through, but the sauce was weak and no tomato flavor and the cheese was non-existent. The toppings on the specialty pizza's were pretty good, they just had a horrible base to work off of. As one of the few options for pizza in that area, you would be remiss to find much better pizza around. It's not great, but it is functional.

BTW - Turns out it's super close to Exit 68 off Route 84. So it shouldn't have taken me this long. I'd call Camille's pizza Modern Wood-Fired Thin Crust. I ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and fresh peppers as opposed to roasted ones (which is an option) for pickup. The restaurant was nice. If you're a Prince (the musician, not the one stripped of his title -- too soon?) fan you may love the purple hues. The crust was good chewy. I loved the pepperoni. They cupped and crisped, but in a slightly different visual way than many cup and crisp pepperoni. Very cool. Tasted great too. The fresh peppers ended up being red rather than green. This is a personal preference, but I prefer green. I like the flavor of the green juice better on a pizza. I also think the green color pops better since the sauce and pepperoni are both red. I liked the pizza, but I didn't love it. I couldn't figure out why at first. I think the primary reason was the sausage. It wasn't bad. I just didn't connect with the flavor. And also I prefer larger pieces, than the smaller crumbles Camille's used. If I had this pizza without the sausage, I would have liked it better. I do have a favorable impression of Camille's though. I would definitely return. 4.25 Stars

Their specialty pizzas are great and even a plain cheese pizza is great. The burgers and wraps are good. Love the salads too, especially with the grilled chicken added. Lunch and dinner are both good and consistent. Highly recommend. Nice and clean place to dine in as well.

This is a very rural area and I would not have expected to find a restaurant along this stretch of road. The building is a square, non-descript, single story set away from the street with parking along two sides. A few picnic tables sit near the parking area on a grassy area. The inside is neat, updated, includes several booths exactly as you would expect in your neighborhood pizza place. Besides pizza, this shop offers sandwiches, lasagna, bottled or canned soft drinks, ice cream dessert items, cookies, and cake for example. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice. We grabbed our drinks from the cooler, paid and chose a booth. Some local art hangs on the wall, but it doesn't say if it's for sale or from a local club for example. Just 'Local Art.' Most of the booths were occupied when we arrived, and several phone orders were placed during our visit, so clearly this spot is popular. Some folks came in for a soda and slice of pie, others called in large orders. A blackboard wall lists available ice cream flavors and prices on cones, bowls, shakes, and more. Laminated menus are on the counter near the cash register and their web site. The website also offers an 'allergy' menu. The food didn't come flying out of the kitchen, but we didn't wait an unreasonable amount of time either. Some of the tables already seated when we arrived were also waiting for food and it looked like this was a two person operation. The food was brought to the table when ready (aka: they didn't call our name or a number) which I appreciate. Napkins, salt and pepper are on the table. Plastic utensils, red pepper flakes and other items you may need are on a table near the counter for you to grab if wanted. Everyone bussed their own table, so we followed suit. The sandwiches were well made, stuffed with lots of meat and plenty of add ins. Their 'build you own' grinder menu has a variety of meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The pizzas looked and smelled good. I wasn't in a pizza mood, but I wish I had bought a slice to try, although the sandwich was so big I barely finished it. No room for pizza. Also wish I'd bought a slice of that rainbow cake, but we were on the road without a cooler, so no cake for me. Sigh. This is a really nice little restaurant in the 'middle of nowhere.' It's clearly popular with locals and I understand why. Good service, good food, clean establishment. They do a fine job. A very nice local pizza place.

Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was kind, attentive, and whenever something was forgotten, she immediately went to speak with the kitchen and tried to make it right. That being said, our table definitely seemed to fall into a bit of a communication dead zone. My chicken parm was forgotten, and while waiting for it the rest of my family's food got cold. They ended up sending their pasta back to be reheated, which also took a while. Our drinks were forgotten at one point as well, and our to go dessert sat waiting for a long time before anyone brought it over. The food itself was great and we still enjoyed celebrating together, but overall the experience would have been much smoother with better communication between the kitchen and staff. Drinks stayed filled, and the waiter came by to make sure we didn't want any refills on any alcoholic beverages as they were being consumed. He recommended a few appetizers for the table. We got to try the chef special, garlic bread with ricotta, and calamari. All very good. As was the bread and oil that I think comes with every meal. After I heard the specials, I went with the short rib gnocchi, but the salmon with spaghetti squash was a close second. I wasn't disappointed in my dish. It was a really good size and I ended up taking half of it back with me, something tells me it's gonna be even better the next day as most Italian food is. My one regret is that I didn't order the lemon cheesecake to go. All of the desserts sounded amazing, especially the hazelnut tart, however, the lemon cheesecake is super cute and I heard from other people that have been to this restaurant before that it is delicious. Maybe next time!
