I have eaten and had drinks at Dimitris many times over the years and have had an enjoyable experience every time. The hostesses and bartenders are very pleasant and there is very rarely much of a wait time. The atmosphere is relaxed in the main sit down area, as well as in the bar. They make one of my favorite pizzas, their BBQ chicken pizza with a side of bleu cheese, which is the best BBQ chicken pizza I have every had. They used to have a pizza with strips of hamburger on it, which I also loved, but I believe they only use the hamburger "balls" now, which are good, just not the same. Prices seem to be reasonable for the food they offer, while maybe a little higher than the average price in the area, but it's worth it. They do not deliver and there is a separate area to park for pick ups, which I have done many times without an issue. The orders are almost always ready on time, with a few small exceptions, but nothing serious. I have never eaten any of the food other than the pizza and some boneless wings, which were good bit not great, but I have been told by many people the other food is mostly above average. I would definitely recommend trying Dimitris if you are in the area, especially if you like BBQ chicken pizzas. read more

We have been here many times. Unfortunately we will not be returning. We went for my husband's birthday. Waited over 45 minutes for our salads, we had to ask for silverware and napkins. Dinner took 75 minutes to be delivered. The only reason I gave 2 stars is that the food was good. No explanation, no apologies. The table next to us asked for the manager 3 times before he finally came out. I will be looking for a different place to eat when we are passing through Coventry. read more

Excellent, excellent food and service. Sometimes you wait a little bit, but that's how a small, locally owned place works. Food is well worth the wait, servers are friendly and always informative and happy. Competitive prices for almost ridiculous large portions. There is absolutely no way to finish a burger or sandwich on your own. Salads are always full of fresh veggies. Our family loves Dimitri's. We've never had a bad meal there. It's where we go to when we have something to celebrate or are entertaining out of town guests. The food is excellent with more than ample portions. The ambience is casual enough for jeans but upscale enough to venture in dressed up without feeling overdressed. More or less 'come as you are'. The fish and chips are great-crispy and flakey and served with malt vinegar if you ask for it. Everything on their Italian/Greek menu is delicious. Beers on tap are a bonus. Service is prompt and friendly. Be sure to save room for dessert because you'll want to try the baklava! read more

Went for my birthday/mother's day treat wanted 4 chocolate milkshakes to end my families night out and wanted something other than McDonald's shakes so I found dimitris called ahead and was told 25 minutes so we went to the playground across the street so the kids could play while we waited. We show up a half hour later and I was told they forgot about my order, cashed me out..then 2 others after me then she goes to make the milkshakes. 30 more minutes later of waiting inside before my 4 small chocolate shakes are ready. When I finally get back to the car with the family waiting I get in and get to take a sip and there was practically no chocolate flavor to these shakes, in fact they tasted of the same quality as McDonald's shakes. Had to add chocolate syrup when we got home. Not a happy customer at all I can totally understand being short staffed but if thats the case give more realistic time frames for pick ups. As I sat waiting the half hour inside I witnessed the hostess telling all these people 25 minutes...if only they knew...and no milkshake ever should take an hour! read more

After driving by this place daily on the way to and from work and seeing the parking lot filled almost every night, I decided to eat here with my husband and our two kids this afternoon. The building is pretty and well-maintained, with a nice patio and eggplant-colored walls inside. We waited longer than we'd like to be greeted and seated, and noticed that the restaurant was about 1/3-full (on a Sunday afternoon). There seemed to be only one server for the whole restaurant and although she was friendly, she was clearly overworked. By the time our server came to take our drink orders, we had studied the whole menu and were ready to order food as well. The wait for the food was surprisingly quick, and upon our request, she did bring a basket of complimentary bread to tide us over. The food was good; I had the peppercorn burger, which was cooked medium as I had ordered it. It was juicy and flavorful, topped with cheese, ground peppercorn, A-1, and crispy fried onions. I'm not crazy about seasoned fries, which came with the burger, but they were crispy and hot, and my kids enjoyed them. My husband had a good fish and chips, with a nice, home-made lemony tartar sauce. Again, this dish was served with seasoned fries, not the traditional English "chips," which seemed odd. He also had a garden salad with fresh, crispy veggies and a dressing that was kind of meh, like bottled Italian. It would be a nice touch if Dimitri's made their own. Our daughter had the french dip sandwich, which was piled with flavorful, thinly-shaved fresh roast beef and melted cheese. Overall, the prices seemed reasonable and the server (while slow through no fault of her own) was friendly. I'd go back to try the pizza and maybe the eggplant parm. read more

For a little place out of my hometown this place puts in work. They have great pizza and I love their Turkey Club sandwich. I'm a very hungry individual to say the least and a sandwich doesn't usually fill me up but these things do the trick. Any place that carries Hosmer Mountain soda also gets my approval. read more

What a great place! Bartender was friendly and made really good mixed drinks. Love that they are under $6 a piece for a bocce ball and sex on the beach. Took awhile to get the food but it was super tasty. Turkey club with curly fries and 1lb of wings with onion rings. Bread and bacon on turkey club was crisp. The wings were flavorful; honey mustard habanero and buffalo-que? Can never go wrong with curly fries. And last but not least, the onion rings were AWESOME!!! Super crispy on the outside. Absolutely loveeeeee there pizza! I grew up here so this place has a special place in my heart . They have that thick, but not thin golden crust that has a beautiful crunch to it. Staff has always been friendly to us when we stop in for pizza. There ingredients are ALWAYS fresh, u can tell in the toppings and salads . An unexpected find. We had originally gone past the restaurant because it looked too expensive for us, but the Innkeeper at the nearby Bread & Breakfast recommended it to us. We were quite surprised. The place in clean and quiet, lots of tables, and great staff. Although it looked like just another Greek Pizza place, it was a really good restaurant. We enjoyed it so much we brought our friends back the next week and they agreed with us. The food tastes wonderful and often slightly different from other similar restaurants. I had the pan pizza with meatballs and one of the best I've had. My wife had a meatball sub with veggies, and she also said it was one of the best she had. Again their flavoring seems to be slightly different from what you may be used to but a welcome change. This week two of us had the lasagna, my wife the roast beef sub, and my friend the roast beef au jus sandwich. Really good, especially the meats. One not so good...the sauce on the lasagna wasn't great. But the meat, cheese and noodles were. And compared to other similar places the prices were slightly below average. Ask for the dessert tray. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have a comfortable sports bar attached. This is a neighborhood restaurant and probably wouldn't make a long trip to get there, but if you're in the neighborhood it's the place to eat. read more

It's really about a 2.5 star. It's just average. The service was extremely slow and inattentive and the pizza was average at best the sauce had a weird flavor that was not complimentary to the pizza. The eggplant grinder was too dry. It needed little more flavor and a lot more sauce. read more

We felt fishy and ordered the fishermans platter and clam bellies after scarfing a perfect Manhattan and margarita. So far it has taken 35 minutes for boneless chicken appetizer and our salads have been delivered. I asked to speak to the manager but he is busy cooking in the kitchen. Well that didn't matter because it took an hour from when we ordered to get our food. I recommend avoiding here once college student have returned home for the summer. The summer staff is not adequate to handle a dinner rush. I am giving one star because the food was good but not great. The manager finally made an appearance but cared less what his paying customers had to say. I will remove the restaurant from my future choices. read more

Came here by mistake, (there's another Dimitri's in the area??) but I was pleasantly surprised! Very pretty interior and good prices. I had a turkey club with fries for $9.95, which I consider to be a great deal. Very filling that I had to take a little bit home. When I get to Coventry it's usually my first stop and when I leave to head back to Virginia I usually grab a pizza to take home with me as we have nothing like this in my area. We visited here 9/25 on our way from VT to RI, and stopped in Coventry to visit my sister-in-law. My husband and I were going to share a Greek pizza and SIL ordered a burger. Her burger came and we were served a Greek salad. When the waitress realized her mistake, she said she'd get the pizza. We waited. and waited. and waited. SIL finally ate and finished her meal, still no pizza. The waitress said the kitchen was busy, but waiting for over an hour was unacceptable. As we were getting ready to leave she showed up with the pizza. When she saw we were leaving she rushed off to box it (not that we said we wanted it to go). When we told her we didn't want it, she said she'd take it off the bill (big favor?) I was very annoyed but held my tongue. I was surprised that the management didn't do a thing to intervene or make up for the inconvenience, not even bothering to comp the $2.25 soda and $2.25 cup of coffee we had while watching SIL eat! It didn't say much for their concern for customer satisfaction. I've been a waitress. I know a person can make a mistake, but there were ample opportunities to make it right. They did n.o.t.h.i.n.g. We've eaten here more than a few times before and while the food has been good, the service was never stellar. That was definitely our last visit. read more

Very slow service even for a Saturday night. We ordered fried appetizers which never arrived, we waited about an hour and fifteen minutes before we left. The server blamed the slow service on the fact that we ordered fried food, and that we had not notified her that we were in a hurry. We arrived at 6:30 and were trying to grab a quick bite before our plans at 8:00. By my definition, we were not in a hurry...Appetizers should be quick. We received attitude from the owner. the pizza here used to be great! Greek style, golden brown perfect. That is all in the past. Had take out pizza last night, it might as well been from 7-Eleven. the pizza was under cooked, tasteless, just awful friendly staff, def have better selections, but going downhill fast. i have been in town for 8 years and watched the decline of the food here.
