Only nail place that adequately cleans the utensils!! They have the same machine that the dr's use to sanitize the surgical instruments, called an autoclave. That is so important. I will not go anywhere else for that reason. Located outside of JCPenney in Eastgate mall. I found the best nail tech here - ask for Danny. He does take a while but the results are perfection. If you like your nails perfect ask for him, but be prepared because perfection takes time so be patient. Be sure to take $10 cash for a tip. If you call ahead, you can make an appointment. I have gone to their Eastgate location for years . They moved . I went in for a pedicure. Left with very irritated skin . I woke up the next day with inflamed blisters on foot and toes ! I caught contact dermatitis. It was very painful and itchy . A $ 60 pedicure cost me about $150 in Doctor bills and medication. This took 3 weeks to heal . I contacted the manager Tina who really had nothing to say and was told she would check on me . Not a text or phone call . I should have called the board of health . I took 4 of my granddaughter's to have manicures at L.A. Nails on Friday the 3rd of May 2024 while I had a pedicure. I was taken back when the 4 "nail technicians", individually approached me to ask that I upgrade the service as without the upgrade the nail polish would not adhere to the girls finger OR my toes. I spent almost $150.00 for our experience. Darn if the polish chipped off within an hour after leaving the salon. Integrity is why this business lacks. I would suggest that if you want the job done right---go somewhere else that cares about doing the job right without having to brow beat customers into paying more just to have the polish stay on the young ladies nails for more than an hour. I usually go to nail places closer to home on the west side, but I was visiting my grandparents on the east side so I stopped here on my way home one day to get my SNS done again. I had been doing SNS religiously for about 3-4 months months prior to coming to this location. In all the time I've been doing SNS I've never had a break or a chip until having my nails done with Danny at this location. First of all, I had been growing my nails for about 3-4 months by the time I stopped at this place and was really happy with the length of my nails because I've never been able to grow my nails hardly at all before SNS. I told Danny I wanted ombré coffin shape nails. He told me that my nails weren't long enough for ombré and to do the ombré next time. This was the first visit where a nail tech told me my nails were even long enough for any coffin shape at all. I had been told they were too short every time before--so the point is that my nails were not that long, but just finally long enough. I really had had my heart set on growing my nails a little more so that I could do the ombré coffin shape for a couple of months by that point. Within 3-4 days of having my nails done with Danny, one completely broke. I called and they told me to come in for a repair. I went for a repair and was told I had to completely cut the nail down--so bummer, but I agreed. Then he proceeded to do shellac on that one nail instead of SNS and I couldn't understand what he was saying as far as the explanation for why I was being repaired with shellac instead of SNS like I had originally paid for. I had French manicure on my nails, so it ended up looking really bad having one short shellac French nail with the rest of my grown out nails. I went home and then a couple of days later, another nail cracked. At that point I was going to just leave it alone but then within another couple of days, another nail broke. So again I called and spoke with the receptionist and then with Tina, who told me I could not have a refund but that they would have another tech do all of my nails all over again free of charge. I really just wanted a refund at that point since the place was about 40 min out of my way, but I was leaving that day to go out of town and refunds aren't their policy so I made arrangements to go there. While I was there, another tech did my nails. She did a really nice job. She had to add 3 false tips for my three broken nails (within 10 days) to make everything look more uniform. While there, Danny came over to me and started asking if I would pay half price. I couldn't understand what he was talking about as to his rationale, but I told him Tina said I wasn't being charged at all. I came to find out from another tech that Danny was upset that I was getting them replaced for free because it was coming out of his pocket. I felt bad for the guy but he totally lied at that point and said my nails breaking were my fault and not his, because he said that he had told me to cut my nails down the first time we met for fear that they'd break. Like I said before, he told me my nails weren't even long enough to do what I wanted the first time we met. He told me they needed to grow more, so clearly he was just making stuff up at this point and trying to make me look bad in an attempt to make me pay again. I don't know what he did wrong, but I have never had my nails break with SNS before coming to LA nails Eastgate and no one had ever said anything to me about my nails being too long prior to my nails breaking. The receptionist told me to ignore him and said he told me that the first time because he doesn't even know how to do ombré. I wish he would have just been honest from the start, because I would have had someone else do my nails who knew what they were doing. I'm having a baby in 2 months so I don't have enough time to grow them all out again before I have to cut them down for the baby's arrival. Just a bummer all the way around. I hate to say that I don't like this establishment just because of one experience, but I won't ever see Danny again. It was such an awkward experience that I don't know if I will ever go back. I appreciate how Tina handled the situation and replaced my nails free of charge. The place is really nice and clean. Everyone was really nice. I just didn't particularly appreciate the dishonesty and then accusations with more dishonesty from Danny. He should have just told me he didn't know how to do what I wanted from the start. 10 days after I wrote this review, after getting a completely new SNS done by a different tech, I have another broken nail. I went here cause I had a free pedicure I had received as a gift for Christmas I got a pedicure and a fill in and I handed them my gift certificate for the pedicure and the girl looked at me and told me it was 48 dollars for my fill in that was only supposed to be 25 dollars but since he peeled my nails off and put 3 on it was 23 dollars more which is crazy to me cause I could have gotten a full set for that price so now I'm stuck with half my nails that have new acrylic and half that doesn't not to mention that my nails are in ever and super thick and they are so short and not even fully painted around the sides of the nails and they are not even and the nails have all kinds of in even spots in the acrylic I am so mad I can't even see straight right now and I just want a refund o have never been so disappointed with my nails as I am right now then to top it all off I asked to talk to a manager and she acted as if it didn't even matter to her I am so mad I will never return back to this place UPDATE! now two days later my nails are peeling and the polish is chipping off read more

I'm only giving 1 star bc i have no choice. Got my nails done on Sunday, Gel Manicure. Today is Tuesday so far my index and middle finger on my right hand have peeled off? For $35+ this is terrible! I've never had any issues anywhere else. The service wasn't that great. I Came in with my mother for her birthday and wanted to sit next to each other, was told we weren't allowed to bc it wasn't that nail techs turn &they had to go in order so we had to turn around and yell to talk to each other. A couple weeks ago a friend and I visited LA Nails for the first time ever. I had called and made appointments for us both ahead of time. We arrived 5 minutes early and the receptionist told us that there were 11 walk-ins that had just signed in before us, so we'd have to wait. I said "well that shouldn't be a problem, because we have appointments." She said that it wasn't the case, that since we didn't specify a tech, they had to take the walk-ins first. I explained to her that we had never been there, how would I know to request a specific tech name?" She looked down the list and said "these are all quick things; you should only wait about 15 minutes." 45 minutes later, we finally sat in the chair. We were pleased with our pedicures, but we won't be back. I would prefer to give my business to a salon that actually honors appointment times. read more

My daughter and I had a manicure and a pedicure on 3/29/18. My manicure isn't the problem. And my pedicure was fine at the salon. It wasn't until I got home that I realized my toes didn't look so great. What happened was I chose the same color of polish... Shellac on my fingernails and polish on my toenails. As the tech was polishing my toenails, she mentioned that the polish was thick and she would have to put the topcoat on at the manicure table. No problem. That's what she did. After my manicure was complete, nail tech took me to the front to pay without instructing me to go to the dryer, to be carefull or wear those flip flops they provide (which I already had on). Mind you, my toenails should be dry at this point according to my previous experiences. When I got home and took my socks off, the polish on both my right and left big toes had stuck to my socks! Yuck!! Not an ideal pedicure for the start of spring. Maybe this is my fault; maybe it isn't. But that's not even the best part! Last night.....Just before going to bed... Eight days after my pedicure, I noticed that my big left toe is red, itchy and blistered just above my nail base ‍ I don't recommend you go here if you are a picky customer or if you are concerned with your health and hygiene. I appreciate a speedy service but I feel like production is their top priority. They shouldn't be in such a hurry to collect their money and get onto the next customer. read more

We went for a mommy/daughter date because of them having the small chairs for my daughter. And because I thought I had heard they did a good pedicure. (A good pedicure is when they do the standard of what a pedicure is and should be: Turn on the chair massage, Give you a good 10 minutes to sit in the water to allow your skin to soften, They remove your dead skin around your toes, push back your cuticles and remove excess cuticles, remove calluses, do a good firm massage on legs and feet instead just applying the scrub and then applying lotion. Also the nails should be trimmed and clean before painting.) here's how my pedicure went: as soon as we walked in they were rude, didn't say hello, snapped at me for me to sign in on their ipad, which I did and then they snapped for me to just pick a service. And then to just sign in my daughter with her first name. Then we stood around for 10 minutes(when we could've been sitting and soaking for our pedicure because their were plenty of chairs open.) they argued that they didn't want to do our pedicures. Then the guy who was back in a chair playing on his iPad they were yelling at and he didn't want to do my daughters pedicure. But he did a great job, he did up sell us to get her nails painted which was fine. Then the girl who did mine was super nice. But she was awful as a nail tech. She didn't clean up my nails at all. She didn't even get the calluses off my heals or big toes at all. All my dead skin around my toes is still there. She didn't even clean under my toenails. And then the"scrub" was barely applied to my legs. Definitely was not scrubbed in the least. There was no massage at all with the lotion. And then there was the polish. I'll post a picture because a picture is worth a thousand words. She was so shaky and applied so many layers of polish that after sitting under the dryer and 2 hours later when I put on shoes they still were mushy. My nails weren't even trimmed and look nice before painted. I tried to ask them if I could come back another time and they wanted me to do another pedicure the same day. (I was spending time with my daughter so that wasn't an option) and they wanted me to come the next day. Still didn't work for me as we do church on sundays. And so we talked about Monday. But they wouldn't schedule me, or give me a refund or any of those things. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least. I paid $70 for my daughter and I. With no remorse or solution. Please don't spend money here. They were rude, expected money for very bad service. If people stop spending money there they won't be able to stay open and treat people badly. This is the second time I've been and I won't be back. The first time the kid bitched that he didn't want to be there the whole time. I felt like such an inconvenience and he did the worst job :(. Today, I asked for a full set painted blue. (Their selection of Polish is awful) I wanted a football on my thumb nails...well, no one of the 17 people working knew what a football was or how to do it, so I asked if they could just write the team name on my nails and she said ok. She made me pay halfway thru btw. Well they look awful and I'm too nice to say something or speak up. I agree with what Claire said. Worst customer service ever. They focus on quantity over quality ... even when it's slow. They just want to zoom through whatever service you have asked for so they can move on to the next or go to the back of the salon and watch movies/use the internet on their laptop. I didn't even want to give them a star. I ended up coming home and fixing my manicure and eyebrows. You get what you pay for. My fault mostly for settling for a mall salon. Find a good quality salon. Dip polish on natural, real nails. There are four nails that have irregularities where the polish isn't smooth, nine fingers have polish on my skin. Photos attached....make your own judgment. The girl that took the old polish off had me sit for forty five minutes soaking so my nails were kind of soft and when she was scrubbing with a paper towel she kept bending them in half. It was making me crazy and I told her several times "you're bending them in half and it's uncomfortable". I finally took a paper towel and took it off myself. There's already one review about them not being able to remove acrylics, and unfortunately, I have to agree. I used to go to LA Nails pretty often. Then, two years ago, I had them remove my acrylics. They literally just pry them off your finger. It was the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced in my entire life. I almost passed out, and was sweating so bad from being in pain that it looked like I'd just got out of a swimming pool. Two of my actual nails were ripped off. I know it's not because I have weak nails, because they continuously told me that I have great nails and didn't even need acrylics. Anyway, it's been over two years, and I still don't have feeling in the tip of my thumb from where they ripped it to shreds trying to get my acrylic off. I assume I'll have to spend the rest of my life not being able to feel my fingertip because a nail tech didn't know how to remove nails. Terrific. read more

I usually see Lucky, who is wonderful. However, I had another guy today. He was very bad at doing nails. It started with him not being able to figure out the foot spa, and he took about 15 minutes to figure that out. Then the pedicure went smoothly. However the manicure did not. The man had no idea how to remove shellac and badly damaged my nails trying to. He kept twisting my hands and arms around uncomfortably. He started talking about how "Obama and Biden are jihadi" and his coworker started ranting about communism. He got very upset. The most insane experience I've ever had. They were also playing Fox News on the TV and overall bringing politics into their workplace. It was very unprofessional. Regardless I left him a tip, but he was extremely rude to me. Terrible terrible terrible, oh, did I say terrible? I was cut a total of 6 times to the point where I was bleeding. S i x times. The paint job was sloppy, just globs of paint on my nails. A part of my nail wasn't even painted on the side. My nails aren't even in length. The chemicals got into my cuts which made them burn like crazy. Paint left all on my fingers. Then when I asked for a refund they looked at me like I was CRAZY. The manager said she couldn't give me my money back but she could fix them for me. Like no, I don't want you to fix them I want you to run me my money so I can leave the store and never return. So I never got my money back, and I have open wounds on my fingers along with crappy/sloppy nails all for the price of 32 dollars. I am glad I don't live here so I can go back home and go to an actually DECENT nail salon. But if you were thinking of going here to get your nails did, don't. Please go somewhere else to get your nails done. They are overpriced and are garbage. If I would've known there was a salon just outside of the mall I would've went to it instead. This place is absolutely horrible. I came in with acrylic ombré nails and they didn't understand that I just wanted gel black polish over it. The whole staff came up and started talking right in front of me I told them if they couldn't do what I asked to please tell me. They didn't say anything and just started filing my nails off. I took my mother today because she's never had a mani/pedi. I told them I wanted acrylics because I hated my short nails. The receptionist recommended shellac and I said ok sure. I sat down and the manicurists didn't understand anything I said. When it was finished she had cut down my real nails and just shellacked them!! I paid $90 for one many/pedi and shellac when I wanted a full set of nails! And when I told them what I'd asked for they just nodded and moved on but didn't understand me. I am very frustrated and upset that I paid for a service that was not what I asked for. $90 is not a small amount for me, especially since I have to go have someone else fix it. LA Nails has recently undergone a massive renovation in Eastgate mall. They bought the store beside them and expanded the space to accommodate a larger number of people, hired additional staff to cater to those extra numbers, added a massage and waxing area, and a nicer restroom. Equipment is all new, from what I can tell, and pedi chairs are all updated. They've added a children's area of pedi chairs, as well. That being said, it is a mall salon. You will not be escorted to a quiet spa room in the back, like at Mitchells or Avalon. However, the prices are on par with a mall joint, and you do not need an appointment-pretty much ever. I will also say that my polish lasts forever when I got here- this is the best experience that I've had with Shellac manicures with these "drop-by" kind of establishments. Want a spa experience? Upgrade to a salon. Want a drive-by mani/pedi at the last moment? Def worth the stop. read more
