They have a large selection of colors and offer both regular and gel polish options. I got the basic pedicure, which was $38. The price has gone up a bit over the years, and the service was quick. One thing to keep in mind is to bring cash for a tip if possible. There is an ATM on site, but using it means paying extra fees, and tipping is definitely expected and they will get annoyed if you don't have it ready. read more

I've never felt more taken advantage of by a business than at Ambiance Nail on Colerain Ave. I took my two teen daughters for a full acrylic set, advertised as $50 on the website and paper menu inside of the store. I expected the basic design one of them wanted would cost extra, the other one got plain light pink. At the end, my total was $184 or $174 with cash. I had cash on me, so I chose that option, but asked how it came to that amount. They said one girl was $70, the other was over $100. How does a $50 set jump to $70? Apparently shaping them, (filing the nail) is an ADD ON. Gel polish, is an ADD ON. There were no other options given, aside from gel polish; she was only told to pick a color. How is filing the nail, an ADD ON or at the very least, discussed? For the second, shaping is an add on, gel is an add on, and basic design (a star on every other finger) took the total from $50 to over $100, with no discussion, and completed in the same time frame. Never again. I went in for an acrylic soak off and I got an acrylic rip off. I recently moved to a new part of town, so I no longer live close to where my previous Nail Salon was so had to try a new place. I have had an acrylic overlay on my natural nails for over 8 months now, I have had them taken off and fresh put on multiple times. My nails underneath have been perfectly healthy until now. I explained to the guy before we started that they were very fresh, literally just had done less than a week ago so they were going to need soaked off. I never leave reviews because I am not the kind of person to go out of my way and waste my time and energy to write them but this one definitely deserved my attention today. I used to work at this salon as a receptionist for a couple of years and I cannot at all say I enjoyed watching customers leave upset and feel like their time and money was wasted. Especially as a licensed nail technician myself. Let me please remind you that as a nail tech, it is a part of our job to make our clients feel valued, respected, and overall happy with the services we provide. And it is OUR JOB to make our clients feel comfortable throughout the entire service. My mother has gone to this exact salon numerous of times throughout the past. She has not been in a long time because I have become her nail tech. But due to me not being available to provide her service today as I am out of work, she went to Ambiance, located in Eastgate, to get a fill-in before our lake trip for the upcoming holiday. After her service today, she sent me a message upset about not only how her nails came out but how the overall service was with her technician, Phillip. She explained that her nails did not turn out good, her technician was not nice, and felt like she wasted her money. And might I add, this is not the only time she has had this exact experience at this location. During my time working here, we had received many complaints of certain nail techs, usually being the same reoccurring names. As a receptionist that got first hand experience of every and all situations/issues, I genuinely do not believe that some of the situations were handled how they should have been. If you are wanting a relaxing, comfortable, and professional service... this location MIGHT not be the place for you. There are several technicians that DO take pride in their work and provide the exact service you are looking for at this location. However, not all. Some are very rude, talk bad about their clients after they leave, and only care about your money. As I do not want to publicly shame any of the technicians because I did make good relations with them during my employment, I will just say that I recommend to book with a Master Technician if you would like a guaranteed comfortable and overall good service. If you are genuinely curious on who NOT to go to or book with, just scroll through the reviews and I'm sure you will see a few reoccurring names. To the manager, Anthony, Your business is booming but I think it would take off way more and this location would have a much higher rating if you had a meeting with all of your technicians including 1 on 1 private chats with the technicians that have received several complaints and put them in check. As a nail technician yourself, that has your own business, it should be your duty to make sure ALL of your customers are happy. It should also be your duty to put your ALL technicians in check when they are not doing their job properly and professionally. Regardless if they are your best pals or not. This is a business. You do not get to pick and choose. I'm sure you're well aware of that. But the same thing applies to your daughter, Melissa, whom I noticed getting away with a lot of things any other regular technician wouldn't get away with. Regardless of your relations, people who come in to work are to work in a professional manner at all times. The amount of times I have heard the technicians talk bad about others, call people "cheap", and have a nasty tone or attitude towards others during my time working here was unbelievably upsetting and ridiculous. In my opinion, if your technicians do not want to come into work leaving their miserable attitudes at home, they should not be working there. If your technicians do not want to clean their nail implements that they use on several people simply because "they are lazy", they should not be working there. If your technicians do not want to give every service their all, they should not have the opportunity to work for a business as big as yours. It is not fair to the customers which are the ones supporting your business and bringing your income in. The least thing you can do for your customers, whom you should care about, is put your techs in check and make sure your customers are getting the service they came and paid for, especially when your prices are already decently expensive. Anytime I'm getting my nails done. Ambience is always my go to location. I always enjoy the friendly staff and if I ever have an issue with my gel polish chipping or coming off, they always fix it. They just got new massage chairs, which are very, very nice and I quite enjoy them. The only reason I would not give a full five star review is after you sign in they do not give you enough time to pick your colors. Sometimes the staff will even stand there and stare at you, I am the kind of person that I can't even spell my own name if someone is watching me. Quite disappointed in my recent service (dip mani) here. This was always my 'go-to' place when I lived in Cincinnati - so while in town it was my first thought. Staff is always nice, and metal utensils are always sterilized. But I noticed now they are using the same nail file and other things on multiple people (gross). Unfortunately my artist cut my cuticles and I was bleeding a decent amount - he proceeded to dip my bloody finger into the dip powder that is shared with others!!!!! I was completely speechless I couldn't believe it. My other issue is that prior to using these shared nail files, drills, etc.... They don't even ask you to wash your hands first, or even use hand sanitizer... yuck! read more

I explained to them that I didn't want the same tech to do it because the first pedicure took a long time. By 09/26/24 the paint was chipping off 2 of my nails and the shape of each nail is so lumpy and uneven. When I called (right before a huge storm) they said Nick didn't remember putting gel on top of sns and I'd have to come in because its his word against mine. I've been to this ambiance twice now and each time I haven't been too happy with my manicures and they haven't even lasted a week. But what I'm more upset about is during Covid that a lot of the staff aren't wearing gloves, aren't sanitizing between customers, and aren't wearing their masks probably. On top of that they aren't enforcing their customers wear their masks correctly and aren't enforcing social distancing. I probably won't come back to this one out of fear of getting sick. read more

I took my daughter to this salon for her 16th birthday. She showed the tech the photo of the nails she wanted, which were the pink to blue ombre and the clear with iridescent butterflies. What she got was nothing even remotely similar. Her nails were hot pink to white ombre with glitter. It made her skin around her cuticles look inflamed or infected because of the tech's choice of color on her fair skin. She was too shy to speak up and tell him that wasn't what she wanted, but she shouldn't have to do that when she showed him the picture and he said he could do that. The nail tech that did mine used way too much white acrylic. I asked for a simple pink to white ombre with subtle glitter. The white acrylic is way too close to the cuticle. It's supposed to be a smooth transition from a pink nail bed to white nail tips. The shape of our nails were not well done either. We both asked for coffin shaped nails and they were just all over the place. Some nails didn't even match in shape or length. The real kicker was being charged $185 and then they didn't even last TWO WEEKS. Both of our nails began to chip off and break around the cuticle and lift from the natural nail. NEVER AGAIN. My daughter was so upset that she cried. All she wanted was some cute nails for her birthday party and that simply didn't happen. I heard such good things about this boujee place, so I wanted to treat her to a girls day that was truly special. It was everything BUT special. Went to ambiance in Eastgate to get my nails nice and fresh for Mother's Day and for my upcoming business trip... sad to say it was a terrible mistake. My nails look almost beyond description. They were so bad that I was almost speechless. If my young daughter hadn't been with me and needing to be at a birthday party I absolutely would have never left to go in public with them nor would I have paid. I asked for a full set, ombré acyrlic, oval shape. What I got was a disfigured possibly round ish (truly don't even know what shape and terribly short and stunted looking) uneven mess with literal humps. Now I'll be wasting time on Mother's Day and another $100 to get them redone somewhere that actually cares to make them look good before my business trip Monday. I've been here two or three times now. They do an EXCELLENT pedicure. The one with the paraffin wax had my feet smooth as BUTTER honey . I chose a white polish and the whole experience was five star, especially the hot towels on my legs and stone massage. Jacqueline knows what she's doing, great customer service from her. I have been a customer at this location for a while now. I only treat myself on occasion as it is quite expensive. Today, I had a pedicure and manicure with sns. My technician was Jacline, whom I have had before with a very similar experience. I felt like she was rushing me, through, and she was so busy talking that she literally failed to even provide anything that resembled a pedicure. She did spend about 10 minutes rubbing lotion into my legs, though. My manicure was a little better, but I did go home and have to touch it up and remove the glue all around my nails. If I do decide to go back, I will specifically be asking for anyone other than Jacline. Very poor nail technician. read more

The owner is not friendly in the least and has turned the place into a cattle call. Forget about relaxing....they push you in and out as fast as they can. I have been getting my nails and pedicures done off and on here for the last couple years my last pedicure I had done on August 7, by 10 th 3 toes had no gel, was told to come back in and they would fix them if it was before seven days, went back in they fixed three of my toes repainted them in five minutes , three days later the gel is gone again on one, called again and they said come back in and we will fix that one toe, well for $77 I should've have had to come back in three days and definitely shouldn't have to drive all the way back there to have one toe fixed again, guess it's back to trying to find a nail salon that does a good job. I've never had a problem here before, but when it comes to fixing your problem and making it worthwhile , they do not seem to care - they should do your pedicure over the second time completely if you have to return! Definitely $67 plus a $10 tip was way too much money for this, it seems so many of these nail places do a good job till they see that you are a repeat customer then they slack on their work. read more

This is much more of a nail factory than a nail salon. I made an appointment for 9am--the earliest they offer--for a pedicure and an SNS manicure. I wasn't seated until 9:15 and from then until the moment I left, the entire experience felt very rushed. My nail tech flew through the pedicure and her hands were moving a mile a minute during the sugar scrub/ massage. The nail polish was sloppy, as she didn't allow any of the coats to dry before moving on to the next. The other nail tech for my manicure was more personable, and did better work but, again, was moving at lightning speed. I imagine this business model of hyper-productivity is being driven by upper management, but what I hoped would be a relaxing experience felt like anything but. I've tried this place a couple of times and every time find myself disappointed. I paid $90 for SNS and a pedicure and am going today to another salon to get them redone. My SNS is not smooth at all -- I have clumps on the top and under my nails which drives me crazy. And, the pedicure was nothing special. The problem with this place is they are in SUCH A RUSH! It's to the point that they skip steps in the process to cut corners and are not gentle at all. Every time my guy went to switch legs, he would basically shove my foot back to the water. Most places I've been have a spa-like approach and are much gentler. I get SNS done every two weeks so I'm pretty familiar with the process and noticed the guy skipped the first layer and the smoothing processes. I guess that's why my nails a visibly messy.
