Me and my sister got the same exact set , GEL TOES ($50) and acrylic French tip nails (???) and was charged two different prices after i asked to split it. I was charged $125, but then my sister charged $119 which my dad was going to pay for us both. How can I even charged for the shape of the acrylic which is ridiculous, i paid and left and they asked for a tip, i said no because if i wanted to i would. Threw off my vibe and my dad after pulling out my cash. Seems like they charge more $$ off of looks but to each his own and the shaping could've been better for the fact i. I asked for a french manicure and pedicure but in lieu of a white line, add red sparkle for christmas. I had a man possibly named Tim do my pedicure. He misunderstood and did white with an added red. When he asked me if this is correct, he had already done the white on both toes and red on one. Annoyed me that he did not offer to redo it but since it's on my feet I said fine. I had a woman do my hands and she did offer to redo my toes in the correct pattern but I said it's alright, I then looked at my toes and see how sloppy he had done them. Brought my sister with me and her toes came out even worse than mine. Will not be back. read more

I received a gel manicure from "Chino" on 11/21. Wasn't a huge fan of them but it seemed "ok" (being nice). By 11/24, the polish had lifted and completely came off of all but 3 of my nails. I returned to have them redone (I wanted a different manicurist but they said they're independent contractors and he needed to fix them). He didn't even get all of the blue polish off from the 3 nails that didn't lift...This is the worst looking manicure I've ever had. The shape looks deformed and it looks like a child painted them. I will go to another salon to have them redone. read more

She is professional, always making sure you are happy with her work. she is meticulous with her manicure and pedicure and is great with nail design. She is able to design exactly what you have asked for and makes sure that the design matches on the right and left side. LA nails and Spa is a beautiful place but Tim is not very friendly. i smeared my big toe nail by accident and he looked very annoyed when I asked him if he can fix my nail. He fixed it but did not clean the nail polish that was smeared on my skin. I've been here several times, and while no one ever greets you (they just yell out "What do you want"), it has been okay, until yesterday. I went in for a pedicure, and they sent Tim to get me. First, it seems like if you aren't getting gels or acrylic, they just put you with anyone who can paint nails, and that describes Tim. When filing my calluses, he also filed away the skin on my heel. I pointed this out to him, and he said "My bad" and put a bandaid on it, (after dipping my foot in hot wax). He told me it would be okay after the wax cooled. I mean, why didn't he just pour lemon juice on the open wound? I got up this morning and have three more cuts on the same foot, which I am guessing was because he didn't know how to use the callus scraper, so he just cut me up and scraped my skin off. I thought about running up there this morning to show them what he'd done, but I seriously doubt they'd do anything, or even care, since that seems to be the attitude at the salon. Needless to say, I will not be returning or recommending the place to anyone. read more

Had a full set put on and the outcome was terrible. Went back to see if they would fix the nails tips that were not fully attached to my natural nail leaving gaps. They offered to fix the nails but not a correct way leaving a high risk of contracting fungus. Refused refund. Do not go here. Lies and poor service. Went in with a friend. They started with me, 10 minutes later started hers. We were walk-ins so that wasn't unexpected. Hers got done by an unfriendly tech who rushed through. She was done with her 10 minutes before mine. My tech was friendlier but didn't do a great job. My polish did not dry, believe she put polish over base too fast. I spent 20 minutes under the air dryer. She told me it was okay to go. Got home they were still wet and smudged. Went back, was discussing the situation and the possibility of getting gel. Several different people got involved telling me different prices. She said she could re-do with same polish... I said clearly that is not working. They carried on and made it very uncomfortable. I went down the street to Cal Li Nails, got great service, gel polish and my eyebrows waxed for what they were going to charge me. Not going back there. Expensive lesson today. read more

Me and my sister went and got very different experiences hers was great, mine was the opposite! Mine was rushed with steps skipped or rushed through. If I could leave 0 stars I would. The lady wouldn't allow me to use regular color on my acrylic set, because she said it would take too long to dry. I waited an hour to get my nails done, and when It was finally my turn, she was rushed and didn't seem to care about doing my nails right, she even was on a phone call multiple times. Then she put the wrong color on my nails, even after I told her it was the wrong color, she wouldn't listen. She charged me extra for doing an almond shape, which my nails aren't even almond shape and they look chunky. She also hurt my cuticles, they're still burning an hour later, and kept digging her nails into my skin to tuck them under my nail, which hurt really bad. read more

I am so disappointed! I should have spoken up, but I felt bad. My nail tech was the worst I've ever had! I had a pedicure. The water was luke warm. I had to keep asking her to make it warmer. She was talkative with another tech. Well, between the Luke warm water and the 15 second massage ( she barely touched me) on each foot, it got worse! The stone was cold and the heated towel? Well, it wasn't! It was cold and wet and only one towel for both legs! She came back, removed the towel and started polishing my toes! She never put cream on my legs or dried them for that matter! When she put my sandals on, my feet were soaking wet. I told her my legs and feet were wet and she patted them dry with a face cloth! I may return to get it redone! 0h and my feet are still rough and dry...sadly, she knew I was upset and did nothing to rectify it. I have had two horrible visits within one month. The nail technician was Rose. The first time I went, Rose only put one coat of gel. It peeled off within one week. She didnt notice because she was on her phone earpiece the whole time. "Emergency" phone call she claimed. So i went back for a color change. Bad decision on my part. I get Rose again. I point to the sage green color I want. She comes back with pink. No green i say. She comes back with blue. I gave up arguing over what number it was. She puts one coat again. When i get up to pay, she says $38...for a polish change?? Cats eye is more she says. I dont see any cats eye on these nails. A bad attempt maybe? I was so disappointment with the last visit so decided not to go back however I gave it another try yesterday and I must say I was extremely happy with the service that they provided. Even though they were so busy, they spent so much time on my nails and made sure I was satisfied. Bing was my nails person and she did my nails like no one ever did before. I received a good pedicure then asked for new set of nails and was directed to the managers seat. She put on new tips but completely failed to do a proper manicure EVEN AFTER POINTING IT OUT! I left with hang nails after a $50 cost. I politely told manager I would never return and her response was " that's your choice." They definitely lost me as a regular customer. read more

Went here and got my nails done. Every nail is a different shape and there's black fuz underneath the gel polish that's bubbling up.

Awful experience. Walk in and they could care less you are there. Pick a color they say and then wait. Water for pedicure was scalding hot. No apologies from them. The staff is very friendly and very nice- something that's hard to find at nail salons. The pedicures are 20$ but they use the baggy which helps for extra cleanliness and protection.
