The worst nail salon. They also rip you off. I went in for a dip and a pedicure. The pedicure was terrible. I went in for a dip and the lady talked up a liquid gel. Said it was better and charged me 75 for my nails. NEVER mentioned the huge up charge for a horrible service. Nails are thick and lumpy and not evenly shaped. I will never return. Also they sell a ton of services i dont even think they are certified to give. Just a whole mess. read more

I have been getting my eyebrows waxed with Thao and love the service she provides. She is meticulous about making sure they are perfect. She does not rush. So when I say a sign outside saying "head spa" I asked about it. I made an appointment with Kay, who does the service. What a treat! Its an hour long session of half facial and half head scratch/massage/wash. The cost is $120. I loved it! You lay on a massage table and your head is propped in a shampoo bowl type contraption. It's very comfortable. You undress the top half and cover with a warm blanket. The room is dark and quiet and Kay reads your vibe as to whether you want to talk or not. For me, she was super quiet and I just laid and enjoyed the down time. The facial is several steps and goes all the way down to the chest area. She mentioned the products she was using on me but did not try hard to sell them to me, which I appreciate. At one point, she even massages your arms and hands. It's all relaxing but the head scratch is my favorite. At one point she puts a warm towel over your forehead and lays the warm nozzle of water down across it and just lets the water stream down the back of the head. She conditions your hair, rinses and does a comb through. Then your hair is wrapped in a large towel, and she scrunches it to get most the water out. I have pretty long hair, and she did a great job. When you are finished, she gives you a comb and mirror and you comb your semi wet hair into a style and leave. The only upside would be if they had a blowout station to finish it all off. But I love that someone has finally figured out that we don't like to leave a facial with all those greasy products in the sides and bangs of our hair. This is perfect - just run home and finish styling your hair (if you are that type of girl like I am). I have already booked my sister in for a birthday treat and encourage anyone who likes their head to be scratched to try this service. I got the worst "hot stone massage" of my life from Nancy, the owner Hang's mom. It was very clear that she was not experienced with this, and it was the complete opposite of a relaxing experience. The owner seems very... into herself and all of her services, and not as caring about the customers or employees. I've witnessed examples of this multiple times. The rest of the staff assumed that Hang would be doing my massage, but she got her mother to do it, since she was busy, even though I had an appointment, and it was terrible. Nancy couldn't understand what I was saying at all, I had to keep asking for pieces of paper towels to put over the face pillow part of the table. She had the rest of it covered in crunchy paper like a doctor's exam table - and that ripped immediately. She left the lights on bright the whole time, had to get up to turn them back on, when the automatic sensor turned them off. She kept opening the door, seriously about 8 to 10 times, no exaggeration, during what was supposed to be a 30 minute relaxing massage. I had no towel or sheet over my body, so when she would fling the door open and leave it ajar, the whole pedicure crew and clientele were within view. The "massage" did not even last 30 minutes. What a joke. I kept asking her to rub my neck, but instead, she would keep pouring freezing cold lotion all over my back, barely patting that in, and then slapping me with her open hands, and doing a chop chop motion on my neck and shoulders. That was worst experience ever. It was comically horrible. The hot stones also burned me, and I kept saying "Ouch! OW!" before she got the message and took them off. Ugh. At the end, it hadn't even been a solid 20 minutes of "massage", and she comes in to put a hot towel across my back, leaves for a few minutes, comes back once it's cooled off and completely cold, and tells me I'm done. I told her that was nowhere near a half hour, she couldn't understand me, and kept telling me I'm done. It's beyond me how Hang is opening up another spa, and trying to promote more massage services, when this is what they charge $50 for. AWFUL. I've gotten my nails done in the past from Bella, and she was great with dip powder. In my opinion, she's the best nail tech who's still there. Linda the receptionist is also great, extremely pleasant and professional. If it wasn't for them, I would be giving one star. My first time there was actually with Tao, and she was not experienced with dip powder, coffin shaping, or tips , and that time it took so long that I had to ask someone else to step in (after 2 hours of sitting there still not done). Terri was my favorite for nails, but she left. I followed her, so I won't have to go back to Boutique anymore. read more

Will not go back. The last time we visited here they just get up-selling. My mom only wanted a pedicure. Period. She said it like three times and they talked her into a manicure even though she didn't want it. Today? They tried to up-sell her pedicure. "No. I just want the $30 pedicure." She said it multiple times. No manicure. No waxing. She goes to check out and they charged her $45. Why? Because "oh we gave her gel polish this time." She never asked for it. Specifically said she wanted the $30 pedicure. They show you a chart with colors and you choose.. so she didn't accidentally choose a gel. They chose it for her even after she specifically said no to all up-selling. Then she was just stuck paying for it. Never again. read more

I would give negative starts if I could.. worst fill of my life .. it's literally a week old lost 1 nail and have horrible lifting in the others, polish is peeling off , I mean it's bad. I really wanted to love this salon as it's so close to my house but the experience was mediocre at best and their prices were really high. Pedicure polish started chipping after 10 days, I can normally go a month without an issue, it couldn't have been old polish as the salon hasn't been there very long, I'm assuming just poor application. Same with gel nail polish started lifting at 10 days when normally lasts 3 weeks. read more

I've been here two times now, it's pretty new and is so close to my house. Both times I had a great experience! I don't get anything fancy, just a gel manicure and a pedicure but they looked great both times! Also, I don't really understand the complaint on here about price - their $50 pedicure includes a hot stone massage, paraffin wax and a glass of champagne. You couldn't go anywhere else around here and get a pedicure like that for less than $70. I think the prices are good and I will definitely keep coming back. read more

I just got my nails done here an hour ago and am so shaken up I have to write a review. Never in my life have i had my credit card taken forcibly out of my hands whilst being screamed at and that is what just happened. I went to pay $40 for just a gel polish and was doing the math in my head for the tip and to also make sure the price was right since it's 10% off on wednesdays. As i say that i am calculating the tip to type in the nail technician is slamming on the machine screen face yelling to me "pay! pay! hurry up!" and i tell her "stop I don't like this i'm trying to make sure the total im typing in is correct" and she takes my card out of my hand and uses it to pay herself for me. For a second there she was fighting to pull it out of my hand because I wouldn't let her take it, it took force to get out of my hand. I felt like i was just robbed.. They make it feel like they are doing you a favor by doing your nails in a such a way that you almost don't deserve it. I will also say that i knew what color i wanted when i went in (french tips) and she said "no i like this color better for you" and i said i didn't like it and she said "well i can't do french tips on your nails they are too short, we will try it and if you don't like it you can pick something else" so i let her try her color out on my nails, i didn't like it and said i would like blue instead and she was miraculously able to do french tips. The customer service of this place is just horrible. I will say that i do like my nails and they were done well, but not without a LITERAL fight. read more

I have been going to this salon off and on for several years . Thry usually do a pretty good job with my gel polish and the prices are reasonable . However after the incident that occurred today I would not advise anyone to visit this establishment . I was getting a gel polish and I let the woman who was doing my nails know that I needed to take an emergency phone call. I left my purse at the chair where I was getting my nails done and stood right in front of the salon to take the call. The woman then proceeded to come out multiple times telling me I needed to hurry up, mind you the salon was EMPTY at this time . I let her know I would be right in and she proceeded to scream at me "NO". I finished my phone call but at this point I was shaking because I was shocked that she was speaking to me in such a manner . Once I came inside I told her I would not be allowing her to finish and I would pay as is . She then proceeded to shout "YOU PAY YOUR MONEY" ignoring the fact I had just said I would pay. Another woman stepped in to help named Kim , she was very nice and apologetic but the other woman (Lynette ) continued yelling and never came over to apologize. I am mortified at this behavior and still shaken up over it . Went here weeks ago for an acrylic fill, figured Id give them a try. I had an appointment with Kim but upon arrival they told me Kim had an appt. ( which I was her appt) and that Summer would do my nails. I said that was fine and moved on. Summer started filing and filling which took 1.5 hrs (which is rediculous) then I wanted white gel with a simple design. She proceeded to paint missing half my nail and told me the polish was bad. In the mean time the shop gets a call asking for Alex (another employee) to come to the other shop the owner owns in Ellenton because they were busy. He said no way he's not going and carried on about how he drove from St.Pete to work and the owner is crazy. So Summer the one is was doing my nails volunteers to go to the Ellenton shop in the middle of my nails! She gets up & leaves no apology , no good bye Nothing. Alex finished my nails but had to refile and paint everything! I was there for 3 hours. He then charged me more then what i was originally told. After I left I called the owner at her other shop and explained how disappointed I was . She told me that she would leave me a gift card at desk for the cost of my original bill. I agreed to the giftcard and to give them another chance. I go in with an appt. And the owners husbad was there. I explained about giftcard and my conversation with owner. He said he recalled his wife speaking to me and would take care of me. I sat down and he filled my nails and I asked for pearl white. He said pearl greenish i said no white, he laughed and carried on . Once he started painting I realized it was pearl green/gold not what I asked for but i figured its only paint and Ill have them done again in a few weeks. Upon checking out I asked for a quick eyebrow wax. Girl did them they came out great! I meet owner to pay for eyebrows as my nails should be covered with the giftcard and he tells.me $65 ! I said no way, he told me he gave me a 10% discount!!! I refused! He said $20 for nails $10 for brows. I said fine i didn't mine paying for my brows but my nails should be free. He said no and at that point I just wanted to leave! I PAY BILL AND WALK OUT TO ONLY HAVE MOLD UNDER MY NAIL A WEEK LATER!!! AVOID THIS PLACE ! YOU WILL BE THANKFUL ! read more

I will never go back!! I really don't even want to give this salon 1 star! I have been getting my nails done for many, many years. I went in to this salon with a picture of acrylic pink and white ombre nails I found on Pinterest. I've gotten this done before at a different place so I am familiar on how they will look on me... Plus again I had a picture so there was no guessing on what I wanted exactly. Well I came out with my nails looking nude, light pink. Anything but ombre!!! OH! Let me add that the girl also sanded my real nails down so bad! I've never had a salon do that!! When I was done I shown my nails to some friends and they said I needed to go back and have them correct my nails as they definitely weren't anything close to ombre. Well since I was working I didn't get back until 2 days later... went on a Weds and came back that Fri. Anyway she, being the owner, said that's how they do it there, that they don't use snow white when doing ombre. I said that I even showed the girl a picture of what I wanted that it should have been clear I wanted SNOW WHITE in the ombre. I never had to tell any other salon to use snow white. I showed the owner the picture I came in with and she seen my nails and how it was absolutely NOTHING like the picture. She told me I could have them redo my nails but then she also told me it would be $55!!! I would have to pay for thier mistake!! I was so upset that I said just forget it and just correct them with a color polish. She STILL CHARGED ME $25 for that and again it was thier mistake!!!!! I will never ever go back!!! So dissapointing to have such poor customer service. I realize mistakes are made but the owner handled it so poorly!! I was really hoping this would be my new "go to" salon.
