I've been a loyal client here for nearly five years, coming in every four weeks for a pedicure. Unfortunately, over the past year and a half, the experience has noticeably declined. On more than one occasion, I've arrived for a scheduled appointment only to be told that my nail technician was no longer with the salon and that I'd been reassigned--without any prior notice. I understand staff changes happen, but a quick call or message would go a long way. After finding a new technician I really liked, the same situation happened again. On my last visit, I had booked with someone new and when I arrived, I was asked if I "really meant to book with that person" and that they would suggest someone else instead which was odd. Pricing has also steadily increased without clear communication, and most recently, the salon eliminated its wide selection of regular polish colors (previously 100+ options) and replaced them with a very limited range. If you don't find a shade you like, the only alternative is to upgrade--at an additional cost--to a different product line, which feels frustrating. My most recent visit was the tipping point. The technician did not speak to me throughout the service, was quite rough, and frequently paused to chat with other staff--at one point leaving me sitting there mid-service while conversations continued around me. It felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Icing on the cake was when I left, I checked my bank account and I was overcharged significantly. Luckily, I go there often enough and have the same service each time, so I caught it quickly. After years of being a consistent customer, this was disappointing. Nice staff but quality/experience is not luxury. I was told you need to know the color/style of your nail when you make the appointment up to a week in advance which is not the norm. My nails have excess glue/gel under the gel x extension that was not cleaned up that is on my fingers. My French line was supposed to cover my natural nail but they did not after confirming with me they would cover it. Overall just not quality for the price you're paying. read more

I am really tired of being disappointed by this salon. My boyfriend calls in to pay for my service once in a while. Two visits ago, apparently they couldn't write this down on a post it note, and I ended up paying for myself. Just today I went in for my 4:00 which was confirmed by Cara via email. I showed up in time and she said I didn't have an appointment. She's the one who booked me. The bathroom is DINGY as well. I used to love it here. I will be looking for a new home for my service. These are only recent issues--there have been plenty in the past. Michelle, get your ass in there and clean up your shop and get a manager who is good. No luxury experience here at all. My nails look terrible. She didn't buff them out or cut cuticles correctly. They weren't under the lamps long enough and came out sticky. My pedicure was horrible. Do not recommend this place at all. I had posted a review but seems to be missing to reposting. I had a pedicure less than a month ago, the front desk lady was pretty rude. I selected a hot pink color for my French tips (see photo) at six days post pedicure the color was a very pale pink. I went back in and the front desk lady rudely said they don't guarantee their colors. I have been getting regular pedicures (at least once monthly) for thirty years and have NEVER had this happen, ever! The artist that did my pedicure was super lovely and friendly and even commented on how rude the front desk lady was. Sadly I won't be returning again. read more

Scheduling was not as discussed. I clearly told Danielle over the phone that I needed my niece and my nails to be done at the same time. She told me that on the computer she had to schedule our appointments at 1:45 and three but assured me that our nails would be done at the same time this is not what occurred .Nail polish (Cats eye was sub par) finished manicure looks terrible for the price charged. Does not look like Cats eye at all. Nails are unevenly filed. I let the tech know I want all my cuticles removed and it looks like I still have all my cuticles just like when I walked in. This manicure looks like a three year-old did it. The Front Desk girl did offer to redo the manicure, but I did let her know that I had a dinner reservation. I did not have time to redo it and part of what was done could not be fixed, uneven nails, etc. In my opinion, my manicure should've been done right the first time. The only positives were the front desk staff were friendly and listened to my concerns with respect. read more

This was the first paint location I went to two years ago. I immediately fell in love with their atmosphere and their image in its entirety. Sad Customer experience and service. Was going to paint Bar ( downtown Sarasota location) for at least six months, getting my nails done (every 2 weeks) having happy ,nice experiences.I had an appointment booked. I got a phone call informing me that Taylor my Tech was no longer going to be a good fit for me!? I believe that I witnessed a horrible incident at the Paint Nail Bar a few days ago. Two women were treated incredibly poorly when one was told that she may have a nail fungus, which she did not. Impossible to describe just how rude and unprofessional the staff acted treating these 2 women as if they had a roaring case of Covid. As soon as I got home I immediately cancelled my next appointment as what I witnessed was a total lack of customer care. They over promise and under deliver. My daughter and I went twice. They were understandably under staffed so one technician alternated between the two us us. We were there three hours but it's ok. They gave us beverages and a little gift. Not an optimum experience for the price but times are tough for businesses. My daughter made an appointment a month in advance for today. They gave someone else my spot and moved me two hours earlier. I canceled because it was supposed to be a fun time with my daughter. She went because she has a work trip Sunday. Unlike most, I didn't even get the chance to experience a service. I called to book a gel mani/pedi and after waiting 15 min on hold, the person said they'd call back. They did, and at that point I was busy. So I figured I'd stop in and book today. I stood at the desk for 5 minutes with a salon full of people without any acknowledgement that I existed. Awful customer service. When someone *finally* acknowledged my existence, she told me the dogs needed to go outside. Mind you, we had two small puppies with us because we were out on a walk - they weren't disturbing anyone and there was no sign on the door to say no dogs. (Customers were even smiling at them). What a cute salon, and great service!!! My nail tech was incredibly kind and patient, she took her time and was very detail oriented. My cuticles look so much better, and my nails are absolutely beautiful. I love that the polishes are more healthy for the natural nail, and the odor free environment makes the experience so much better than any other traditional salon. I also bought the Let's Play Footsie foot cream by Paint and my feet have never felt so soft!!! Great atmosphere, super nice and professional employees, very clean space, but rating 3 stars based off of how expensive it is for what I got. The manicure still looks good however after I got home and got a closer look, the gel does not go close to my cuticle so I will have to go and get my nails done again in less than two weeks because my nails grow so fast. You'll never get the same person, even if you request. And the front desk is pretty rude. Just rushing you through like cattle. I went three times (being new to the area) before I got scolded by a girl at the front desk, young enough to be my daughter, for not keeping notes on the last polish they used on me. Received a gift card for Christmas. It doesn't have the amount on the card and my son didn't get a receipt. I emailed them for a refund and they said no refunds, or exchanges. What a waste of money. The experience overall could have been better. If the work itself was out of this world then the backlash we received would've been worth it? No. To start off we were late about 10 min, our fault. We had our(4) appointments scheduled by a friend. When we showed up they were friendly and offered us a beverage. Our friend said to get whatever we wanted so we asked for a specific design and they said "no, we didn't schedule time for a design." That's fine. Then they said we didn't schedule nail removal time so I wasn't able to get my current nail situation removed (I have acrylic). I guess that's fine too? When she asked me what shape I wanted I said almond! But then proceeded to say my nails weren't long enough... my nails are long! And she didn't ask if I wanted them cut either. When we told our friend that we couldn't do designs, another person in our group said their nail tech said she could do designs. Then.. our nail tech said that we could do designs. We didn't want anything fancy, so I picked my colors (2) and they started to work on them. What I began to realize was that the colors I picked out weren't being used on my fingers. My nail tech ended up painting my nails white when I selected pink. She was a very nice lady but WHAT. The experience for each of us was just not amazing like what this "luxury" nail spa offers online. 1. Mine were not the color I selected 2. My friends lady forgot to add the accent colors she asked for 3. My friend hated the free hand design that was done on her nails 4. Friendly and upbeat welcome as soon as I walked in! I was even offered a drink. I got a mani/pedi done with Lindsay. She was awesome! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for this service. She was super friendly and efficient. To top it off I LOVED my nails and they lasted a super long time. We left for a week long Bahamas trip the day after I got them done and I was surprised they were still stunning the day I came back. I snorkeled daily in the ocean. They charged me for services that I did not use. They had my credit card on account and used it without my permission. I had scheduled a mani/pedi and put it in my phone calendar. Apparently when I did not show up, according to when they had me scheduled on that day, they called to tell me that I missed my appointment and therefor they were charging my account. I told them that my calendar said I was to come later that day. They said they had no more appointments and I would be charged. I asked if I could make it up another time in the week, even offering to split up the appointments. They said no. I understand that appointments are missed all the time and that they lose money. However, their tone and attitude was rude and dismissive. This was my second appointment with them. I wasn't exactly pleased with my first appointment and let them know. I made the second appointment when they assured me they would do better. Needless to say, I haven't gone back. read more

Honestly the only things that's kept me coming back is the non toxic product. When I first came to paint I got a girl who was awesome at trendy nail art and consistent. After she left I haven't found anyone worth returning to. The phone calls for a long time until recently weren't answered or returned. My nail art has been very bad considering the price there's only a couple girls who can do art. It's very expensive compared to the quality of work. The past few times I thought I finally found someone good but every time it's inconsistent whether it's cutting my cuticles, nails lifting after a week and last time the nails were too small they popped off while being done and there is gel coming out from underneath. 80-100$ for nails that last 2-3 weeks at most is really making it not worth it for me anymore. It's not a money issue as I pay and tip more than 20% every time. I feel as though there's a lot of people who don't have sufficient training and just simply aren't good with skills. They have bad attitudes a lot and have heard people complaining about being at work. I've been wanting to leave this for a while but I never do this and have given so many chances over a few years and have heard from several other people the same complaints. I really don't think I can continue with my business and that wasn't even all the times I've been dissatisfied as this would be twice as long :/ sculpted gel is chunky and gel x lift right away and nail techs complain about having to remove it. I'm a true believer in self-care, so naturally I have treated myself to many spa days. I've experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly at spas all across the country. Having said that, this salon is HANDS DOWN the best salon I've ever been to!! I am constantly searching for a great manicure and I think I found the best salon to have one done in! This salon has amazing customer service from the time you walk in to the friendly nail techs. While it is on the higher priced end of nail salons, they are an organic nail bar using Zoya polishes and BioSeaweed gel polishes. The salon is fume free, smells so clean and pedicures are given in large comfortable armchairs and traditional large white ceramic bowls. I received the Naked Manicure with Thou and it looks amazing! My mom, daughter and myself have been coming here for years and we couldn't be happier! I get a pedi usually once a month and a gel mani every 2 to 3 weeks. Every tech there is awesome and we have had just about everyone work on us. They are always willing to go the extra mile and are very accommodating. I am always offered a beverage ranging from different flavors of mimosas to sparkling water. Did I mention all the cute, trendy jewelry and clothing there also? And, reasonably priced I might add. They have a passport program and they are always willing when I check out to see what credits I have and make sure I am not over charged.
