Almost bought a RV from La Mesa, but could never get a straight answer. They were very pushy, didn't listen, didn't answer the phone and kept switching "closers" on me. Thank God that I walked, especially after reading all these reviews. Ended up with an attorney who quickly picked up on the sloppy math. Found a great, very different dealership in Grass Valley. Not pushy, treat you like a human being and have been very nice and fair in their dealings. DeMartini RV has my vote. read more

My wife and i had considered buying a motor home so we looked around and ended up at LaMesa Rv in West Sacramento and they had what type we had in mind. Everyone at LaMesa were very friendly and helpful, no pressure to sell , we chose not to buy yet and look around more. Well me came back to LaMesaRV and with their expert advice about the type we wanted we made our decision, they helped tremendously with getting financed . We had to wait about a week while the final paperwork went thru and set up the RV, they gave us a great walk thru explanation of the various equipment operations and now we are planning our vacations, I'm also a Vietnam vet with chronic Leukemia and LaMesa gave us a chance to enjoy life before we are unable, so thanks to LaMesa read more

We recently had some repairs done at La Mesa RV Service Dept in Davis. Michael Moore was our service advisor and was so helpful to us in getting our repair taken care of. He promptly returned my calls and answered all of my questions. I would recommend La Mesa RV to anyone. read more

Customer Service across the board is horrible! I have been calling and emailing for a month to get things that were either not working when they sold it to me or damaged after the walkthrough by the delivery driver. I've spoken to people in almost every department and have gotten nothing but excuses and the brush off, it's been a month!! There are nothing but negative reviews about this place but I figured if I bought a brand new RV from them I wouldn't have any problems. WRONG!! read more

Mac Macias and the technicians completed a few items that needed correcting on our new RV. Mac was very professional, knowledgable and friendly. When we picked up the RV, Mac explained what was completed on each item and when we should expect items that needed to be ordered from the factory. Great service! Rudy the concierge gave great advice on a Crispy Chicken Burrito with bacon and Jalapeños, I up the order by adding tomatoes and mayo. Well worth the 2 hour drive for service. He went over the things that were needed and the things to keep an eye on. The service was quick and we'll done. The lobby was neat, quiet with an extra comfy couch. And free wifi! I just started dozing off when my rv was done! A shout out to Red behind the register! read more

I wish I could give it zero stars. We went to their actual location about a month ago. According to yelp they were open. But nope. They were closed with no signs. Tonight we went to their rv sale at sleep train arena; another disaster. There were no signs on where to enter. We got there at 645; the website said open to dusk..we walked around for 20 minutes without anyone helping us. I ended up walking all the way to the front (where we parked and they saw us enter ) to ask for assistance considering allll the rvs were locked. The man there (at 702) said they were closed and closed at 7. Apparently they don't need our business and they won't be getting it. read more

My experience in purchasing a motorhome from LA Mesa RV was excellent. I looked around for over a year and went to many dealers before I decided what I wanted to buy. LA Mesa's sales people were great and I got a great price. The only thing better then sales at La Mesa is their service department. Someone actually answers the phone and they are nice and friendly. Matt my service advisor is a pro and could not have been nicer or more helpful. I had a few minor warrenty issues with my new coach and he took care of all of them. No problem. Just a overall great experience. I highly recommend this dealer. read more

We bought our 2018 Thor Miramar last April 2018. We had several issues that LaMesa said they would fix. We live in our Rv so at the time they said they would send parts. Here we are almost one year with several issues and still cannot get a response. We turned to Thor and they have been trying to get LaMesa to fulfill what they told us they would do. Even with Thor involved, they are not responding. Be very careful-when you drive off the lot-forget about anything being done! I'd NEVER use them again. We travel and tell everyone we encounter, not to use them. So sad! read more

Horrible service. Picked up our brand new RV and once we arrived home we realized we did not receive any of the owners manuals for the RV or the chassis. Made multiple calls and was just given the run around. I ended up having to print and bind the manuals myself. After our first trip we noticed quite a few things that needed to be fixed/repaired. I called to schedule an appointment and the earliest they could get me in was 3 months down the road. I called again today to make an appointment and the earliest I can get an appointment is in December. Seriously?? FOUR MONTH WAIT FOR REPAIRS? It is a little difficult to go on extended trips when the fridge/freezer only seems to work on electric. read more

We attended the RV show at Sleep Train Arena and found a travel trailer that we really liked, the Winnebago Winnie Minnie. The salesman, Clint, was from Idaho and later when we had made up our minds referred us to Daniel, in Davis. Daniel met us at the dealership and showed us what travel trailers they had in the Minnie Winnie. La Mesa is the only dealership that carries the Winnebago travel trailers (line) in the area. We were lucky that they had the exact model we were looking for and accepted our offer. We found everyone to be extremely helpful and on our first outing we even had to call Jim in service a couple of times to get information on how to operate a couple of things and he was so helpful and patient. We did a lot of research and went to a number of RV dealerships... La Mesa in Davis was the best experience we had and the Winnebago is a very nice trailer. Susan and Dan Leonard read more

My wife and I picked up a new Leisure Travel Van on Friday and were extremely pleased with the three hour delivery walk through and explanation of every aspect of the motorhome. We bought a new rv at La Mesa RV. However, owning is not the same as having. When we had the walkthrough, there were some items that needed to be fixed. On the two days going back home we saw a few more things that needed work. We called La Mesa RV and were told that for a new Rv bought at La Mesa RV, there is a four week waiting period . We waited the four weeks and now we are they have had the NEW RV BOUGHT AT LA MESA RV AND BROUGHT IN FOR REPAIRS AT LA MESA RV FOR FIVE WEEKS! THAT IS 4 WEEKS FOR THE WAIT AND AT LEAST 5 MORE WEEKS TO FIX A NEW RV! I think there is something wrong with La Mesa RV! read more

It took a month just to get a warranty service appointment for our RV. It took them three weeks to get the parts. It took six weeks for the work to be completed. During this time, a tech left the electric heat on, which caused our batteries to be discharged, and need replacement. Now they are refusing to repair or replace the damage they caused read more

These people are nice and they mean well. We've had some problems with them fixing issues that required us to return more than once to finally get resolved. But, for the most part, they seem to have well-trained staff and Kyle Dallas is a superb client relationship manager. He stays on it until the problem gets solved. Overall, we would recommend them and plan to continue to use them for our RV needs. read more

Where do I begin to tell the story? Let me just say, do not buy an RV from this outfit. They can't service what they sell. We had numerous problems with a brand new 2013 Winnebago Vista 30T we bought from LaMesa RV. They had our RV a total of 42 days over several months replacing part after part to try and fix the automatic leveling system (passenger side rear jack would not retract). Finally, after replacing nearly every single component in the system the tech found a kink in the hydraulic line which Winnebago tech service told him to check for from the very beginning. All they care about is making sales. They are woefully understaffed in the service department and the techs they do have are obviously not qualified or competent to perform the duties expected of them. read more

While the Sales process went fine, I wish I could say the same about service. So far, its been in over 1 month and I cant get anyone to even return a phone call. 3 Messages yesterday, 3 so far today ( it's only noon) and one voice mail. We spent a lot of money on a fifth wheel that wouldn't keep the batteries charged, lights didn't work inside, didn't receive a required remote, water leaks, and on and on. I have had to cancel 2 scheduled outings ( and lose deposits) simply because the 5th wheel has been in so long and I have no CLUE when I will ever see it again. Communication is key - I was promised a weekly status phone call when I dropped it off, yet I can't get updates even if I call. It's now Friday, and I am debating pursuing the Lemon Law process since they don't want to talk with me. I'll go elsewhere for service next time, and when I'm ready for my Class A, I will also purchase elsewhere. All because they won't communicate. read more

DO NOT work with these people! They do not deserve a single star! On July 12 two employees came to Flag City RV in Lodi, CA to pick up our rig for possible purchase. They did not have any interest and returned it the next day July 13. It was returned DAMAGED; #1 the slides had not been locked for transportation, #2 both bedside cabinets were torn off and tossed onto the Tempurpedic mattress, #3, the mattress was covered with greasy boot prints. We had a buyer for our coach contingent upon the damages being repaired. After contacting the LaMesa purchasing agent, John Hunckley in Florida and sending him pictures, we were put in touch with corporate attorney Jay Castro. At the urging of the purchasing agent, I drove to Discover RV where our rig was in Lodi to talk about the repairs and get a handwritten estimate to submit; at the same time and unbeknownst to me, my husband was contacted by Jay Castro from LaMesa Corporate. My husband was pressured to give an estimate and he threw out a random $200 estimate while in reality it is $636 to make the repairs. They declined to even consider this even though an estimate was presented. We will undoubtedly lose our buyer unless we come up with the money to repair damages they made to our motorhome. We have not even received a call from the owner/manager of the Davis dealership. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

BE AWARE WHEN BUYING FROM LA MESA THAT IT TAKES MONTHS AND MONTHS TO GET YOUR RIG IN FOR SERVICE.... We have a 2017 Thor Chateau bought the end of July, 2017. Every time we take it out we've had water issues and we usually contact La Mesa while we are still on the road because getting an appointment for service takes so long. This trip has been no exception. Three days into a three week trip we have, yet again, water running across our floor. It is coming from the same place as always... we can no longer use city water, instead having to use the water storage tank and pump. One, a royal pain, and two we have to empty it before going on the. Road because we don't want the extra weight. Today, out inverter failed so we called to schedule the appointment and there is a FIVE MONTH WAIT for service... unacceptable.... we love Tara, our service advisor, but are so unhappy with the ongoing problems we've had with our RV we are thinking of selling out and staying in hotels.... at least they shouldn't have water running across the floor... read more

NO star NO Service NO warranty follow up NO NOTHING! Do not pay for your RV before they do any warranty work needed for the purchase. They will say they are going to do it but otherwise you will never, never, never get the work done and they will just shine you on once they have your money! I bought a brand new 2017 Vilano Vanleigh that had some slide issues which they said they would fix, but instead they ruined my paint job and the stickers alongside the bed slide out. The floor slide left marks and they pinched the propane line with the repair and bent the fender. They took my rig in and kept it for weeks at a time and said oh Vanleigh is not answering back, so not our problem. I finally got so frustrated I called Vanleigh myself and they advised me to take it to someone else for repairs. Vanleigh motto "Customer for Life" and they stepped up and took care of the issues. If you have a Vanleigh and need it serviced go somewhere else! DO NOT TAKE YOU RV TO LAMESA Davis CA for repairs! read more

I would not reccomend buying a trailer from La Mesa, because their service departments "service" to date has been horrific. We had great service while looking at and buying a trailer. No real pressure and the salesman was very helpful. However... When we found a variety of problems with the trailer (screws in cabinets put in at an angle so the sharp point protruded into the cabinet, battery boiled over and the electrical system would only work while on "shorepower", part of the slide out gasket was torn awy) and took it in for warranty work, they promised me the trailer back in 1 month, kept it for 2-1/2 months while they got "approvals" to fix the problems and during that entire time, the ONLY calls I got from them were two return calls when I called for a status update. Either the entire service department is terrible, or our assigned service representative was. read more

My Wife and I attended an RV show recently in Vallejo by La Mesa RV. We were met with a relaxed atmosphere and staff, no pressure. We walked and viewed at our leisure. We met sales associate Pete Negri and he was able to answer our questions regarding trade in of our current motor home and what potential costs would be associated with a new purchase. We returned to La Mesa in Davis and were greeted with the same casual feeling. We met another sales associate John,as Pete was not available, who was also very helpful in walking us through several units and explaining the differences in accommodations enabling us to weigh the pro's and con's of the various models. As of this posting we are still in shopping mode but can honestly say I would have no problem parting with hard earned cash to purchase from La Mesa RV. read more

Best service you can get for your rig. Tara G. is a total pro; very responsive and professional. Most of my RV repair experience has been very disappointing...long waits, dishonest pricing and marginal competence (at brand "CW" across the street I have ALWAYS had to go back twice to get it done right and my service "advisor" ignored my calls for THREE weeks once and ended up never filing the promised warranty paperwork costing me big bucks due to her laziness!). Tara solves problems, knows her stuff and the work is fantastic. Pricing is fair (not cheap, but fair) and honest and the work excellent. A rare happy experience in an industry filled with the other kind. read more

We bought a new 2020 Winnebago diesel motorhome for $186,000. You would think that we would have received great customer service for that kind of price tag; unfortunately it was just the opposite. After signing the initial sales contract in May, we made the mistake of notifying the salesman that we would get it professionally inspected prior to accepting delivery because we already found multiple broken items/problems. Despite telling us that they would fix those issues, after hearing about our desire to get it inspected, La Mesa decided not to fix any of the discrepancies we noted during our initial walk-through. They waited till we paid our own money for an inspection so they could fix/address only those specific items; never having properly PDI'ed the motorhome prior to our out-of-pocket inspection. Upon the initial inspection by a Level 2 professional RV inspector, the technician could not even start the majority of the review because the coach could not be powered. The inverter was hanging by a few wires and all of the batteries were dead (which we told them about 2 weeks earlier). He had to cancel the remainder of the inspection and it cost us $150 plus a loss of 2 weeks towards getting the RV. After this failed inspection, we left multiple voicemails (they never pick up their phones) and emails with at least 5 different La Mesa RV employees (salesmen, delivery department personnel, finance personnel, and managers) over the course of 3 days. No one got back to us. Only when I called the general corporate number and requested a manager, then transferred over, did someone finally speak to us. Only when we threatened to back out of the deal did La Mesa RV start paying any attention to us. Even then though, the customer service was the worst I've ever seen. Upon the second inspection (the batteries were still dead and the motorhome had to be jumped), there were still over 3 dozen broken items/issues. The roof wasn't even properly sealed in at least 8 areas (giant crack in seam that is supposed to make the skylight water tight). They refused to fix this, among many other items you think would be standard for a brand new RV. I could go on and on. This was the absolute worst buying experience my wife and I have ever experienced. We finally got our RV this last weekend and will hopefully never have to deal with La Mesa RV again. Don't let them talk you into a service warranty! Your RV will just sit for months waiting to get serviced and the time lost is way more cost than any money you think you might be saving. Just because La Mesa RV was busy with high sales volume, there is no excuse for the way we were treated. Many sleepless nights. Go shop someplace else even if the purchase price is higher (National Indoor RV Center is probably much better), you'll be glad you did! read more

I hated rv's, I really did, but my better 1/2 wanted 1, so you know the drill, we got 1. I'm not sure which I like more, the rv or the experience we had purchasing it. I really didn't know what questions to ask, but it turns out, I didn't have to ask any. From the second we walked through the door till we drove off the lot, La Mesa RV had our back. Would I refer La Mesa to friends & family?............ already have & will continue to do so. The only things that were done are the things we paid to have done..the stuff they were supposed to fix weren't fixed....not only that the tires needed to be replaced but they were only gonna replace one tire...well when they went to Les Shwab they were told they couldn't sell this rig with these tires.....they had to replace them all. Needless to say we couldn't pick it up and had to drive all the back home.....ridiculous!! When we took delivery we noticed the driver and passenger side windows are fogging up making it hard to see when looking in the mirrors...a safety hazzard for sure, one hood latch is broken, the dashboard is not connected on the passenger side and bounces around like crazy when driving....I called the service manager Doug 2 times and he never returned my call...He had me email him pictures of the windows and he still didn't return my call....The motor home itself is great we love it....the service is terrible......we negotiated a fantastic fan when we purchased it,Doug did not want to install it,he wanted to charge us!! The people at La Mesa seemed to be polite and knowledgable. The one mechanic I met was very good and did a great job on our Gemini. The issue I had was it took forever to get an appointment and forever to get repairs. It seemed to me no one cares if they tie your rig up for weeks even months. All repairs were minor cosmetic. When I took it in they had me sign a paper that stated they would charge me storage for anything over three day after repairs then they put it in the back for 5 weeks before they even looked at it to order the parts, then another three weeks before beginning repairs. Went there last weekend to look for a used trailer, the sales staff was very rude, very high pressure!!! Stay Away

I sure wish we would have read these reviews BEFORE buying from La Mesa RV. This is our 3rd rig and the worst experience of all. We bought our 31 ft travel trailer brand new at the Sac RV show 5/12. The "mfg rep" and the salesman were "demonstrating the ease of the slides". They pulled in the slide and then extended it out. Evidently when they STAPLED plastic over the carpet for the show, the staples were too long and upon extending the slide, totally gouged the lino all the way across. Our mistake was in NOT cancelling the sale immediately. They assured us that the lino would be REPLACED. I made a point of telling them I did NOT want it patched...!!! We had it all in writing signed by BOTH the mfg rep AND the salesman. Of course, as we foumd out USUALLY HAPPENS, after a show, they are too busy to do any service. When we finally went to pick up the rig, they had cut out the squares of lino that were damamged and GLUED new squares down. It looked fine but we were still not happy. By now, we had missed the whole camping season. The next trip we took, the lino patches started coming up. Called them and it would "be a while cause they had just HAD A SHOW". Took it in on July 9th and they stalled us til we went in on Sept 10th. They said we would have to pay them to fix anything now as the warranty was up. (only 90 days for already fixed lino) Of course, the salesman was gone, the mfg rep was gone, and Coachman had been sold to another mfg. company. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and would like to get together with Lisa N in Sacramento to go to court...!!! They lie to the customer ("the guy working on your rig had a death in the family and had to take a few days off") They used that one twice...they lie to the mfg (they told them the slide was out of adjustment is how the lino got torn) they take forever ( they don't ever call, you have to call them) They charged us $65 for "labor" just to look and find nothing wrong. When we went to pick it up, THE BATTERY WAS DEAD...!!! It is too bad that places like this can stay in business....They give the good ones a really bad name. From the reviews I see, more people have had bad experiences with LaMesa than good. So be very careful if you ever plan on doing business with these people. read more

I am the owner of a Winnebago Revel which I took delivery of on 5/18/18 at La Mesa RV's service department in Davis CA. Before pulling the trigger I was a bit concerned with a couple of negative reviews posted in Yelp. But in fact I am very satisfied with the service I received for initial delivery orientation, an orientation refresher/complement the next week, and addressing a factory-created issue with the diesel heater and on-demand hot water earlier today (free of charge). Tara, Mario, and their colleagues have been very courteous, friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They have bent over to satisfy my every needs and answer my every questions. Not sure why those previous reviewers complained? My personal experience with the service department was very good. UGH.. Where do I start!!! It's too bad that La Mesa RV is the only place that carried the RV that we wanted! I do not recommend this place at all! We bought a brand new RV at one of the shows. They promised us it would be ready in 1 week because we had a camping trip already planned. Well, the day before we are to pick it up someone calls an said the "airbag light" came on an it's not going to be ready now because they can't fix it there. OK! So then now 2weeks later we go to pick it up an the finance guy tells us, "oh by the way your RV never got the coating that we had told them we wanted an put in our contract! Then he says, so if you want it you'll have to come come back you don't live that far." REALLY! We live 2 hours away! An the RV would have to stay for 24 hours! So two trips!! He didn't seem to care and wasn't concerned with our disappointment. No sorry, no nothing just rude excuses. He just kept saying, "well we are so busy, we are doing like 13 walk-thru/check outs a day" so ya! Hearing that made me even more irritated, I felt like he was saying "we're so busy we don't even care about you or your feelings , we got your money & that's all we wanted...so too bad! It was almost shocking how carefree he was about it, like oh well. It seems that all they cared about is getting our money! So then, we go do the "walk thru" with the mechanic guy (who was very nice). The outside of the RV looked great! But the inside...I could not believe it, was filthy dirty it looked exactly the same as when we bought it at the show! I was shocked. We just bought a BRAND NEW. expensive RV! It has dirt all over the floor, finger prints an cup marks all over the counters & table! Yuck!! WHY did they keep it for 2 weeks?? Then to top it off it was completely out of gas! The light was on. The mechanic said to come back with the receipt an he would reimburse us! I'm not sure why they couldn't have just had it filled up ready! Needless to say, that we ended up feeling mad & very frustrated on a day we have been looking forward to for so LONG! ( we did stop back in with the receipt but could find the mechanic!) read more

La Mesa's service department is the worst! On the four consecutive occasions I have needed warranty work performed on my RV, the service manager has dropped the ball. They do not call you back when they say they will. They ordered windshield screens to replace my defective ones and said they would call when they came in. I called many times over a 6 month period and I couldn't get my service manager, nor would he call me back. The management hires incompetent service writers and doesn't offer any solution when you complain.
