Had an appointment and arrived an hour early to wait in line the Service post looked at me and chatted away with the rep in total. I waited 45 minutes just before she was able to talk to me. The problem was that she should've checked in and then chatted away. However, that was not the case. The staff member took a very long time and checking me in only took four minutes. I did not appreciate the staff here. The customers time checking in someone should not take 30 minutes. Yes, I am very upset. I do not recommend coming to this place at all. In fact, I would rather drive over an hour to another service location instead of coming here because it's horrible; however, the closest place is 3 hours away for warranty. Not recommended. This place is crap. Their phone operator is worthless. I called 6 months ago and they weren't taking on new customers. Called today and they still aren't. I asked if I could just schedule a time to fill the air in my tires on my 36ft-er as it's hard to find a place in Davis that's easy to dive through. She, just "No, we can't", and sat silently. I said, you're not gonna offer any solution, just gonna say no. You can't just schedule me a time when it's convenient for you guys? She just said, "no, and we're still not taking on new customers." TL/DR AVOID AT ALL COSTS THEY SUCK FROM THE WORD GO!! DO NOT USE LA MESA FOR A PURCHASE OR SERVICE!!! I'm usually one to be quick to bring a review up and slow to bring it down. This one has fallen fast and hard. We paid up for a nice Entegra 24L class C on a Mercedes chassis. In short Mercedes did their this right and Entegra and La Mesa have done one thing wrong after another. Too many items are a complete failure to even enumerate them in detail. DO NOT USE LA MESA FOR SALES OR SERVICE YOU WILL REGRET IT COMPLETELY. We have canceled more trips than we've made since February when we took ownership of the new coach. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and the buck gets passed, shoulders get shrugged and calls are very rarely returned even when we reach out 2-3 times a week. It's been there for 2 full months this time and I have no clue when it will return. This place is a joke. We had a helpful service advisor who is now gone. He was hamstrung by the inept service department management. It has never worked properly and we have never been offered any recourse. It's been one shot show after another dating back to February. We bought our RV from them right before the Covid shut downs. They have an amazing indoor show room. The sales people do not hover over you but are very helpful when needed. We went to MANY MANY other places and it felt like a complete rip off and just complete game playing. From the very beginning until the very end the sales was great! They would get 5 stars however the repair place is non-responsive you have to hound them to respond they literally take weeks to months. They are also only open Monday through Friday regular business hours which I do not find very customer service friendly. read more

After waiting for 3 months for an appointment to get warranty work done on a new motot home, they then left it sit on their lot for another 3 1/2 months, all the while telling me that they were working on it. The first 2 times that they said it was ready for pick up, it wasn't. The third time I found out after I brought it home that it wasn't finished. 6 plus months and 500 miles driving back and forth for a 4 hour job that wasn't even finished! Now I am stuck with trying to complete the work. LaMesa doesn't deserve to be in business with this kind of customer service. They only want the sale, and then the truth comes out. read more

My Winnebago Vita had a stabilizer leg self destruct. The jack continued to run after it had descended. It basically turned the mechanical parts inside out and broke welds in the housing. I had to disassemble the leg in order to drive the vehicle. Portfolio extended warranty decline the claim even though the warranty actually had the stabilizers mark on the form. The folks at La Mesa recognized what had happened and luckily had a stabilizer in their stock. They put the new leg on to test the controller board and found no problem with the controller. I decided to pick up the RV and see what I could do myself. When I went to pick it up everything was working and I was asked to pay a single hour of labor and I was back on the road again! I felt like it was a Christmas miracle! Thank you Joshua and Manager Mario! You are our Christmas heros!!! read more

They are great when you are buying the unit, its the aftercare and service they are terrible with. My son purchased a 2020 Grey Hawk and it had many issues, the two worst were the lighting in the bedroom and the bolts that hold the unit to the frame were coming out and tearing through the floor. La Mesa repair facility try's to micky mouse things together, they had our unit for more than 6 months to complete repairs they didn't do or did incorrectly, the lights are still not working and the glue they used for the new floor is coming through the flooring. When you call or email for assistance they don't reply. This facility is is several hours away and I'm a first responder, firefighter paramedic and don't have time to deal with these terrible service people. Tried to get them to fix their mistakes and they refuse to help, not even fixing a safety issue call back from the manufacture, the hydraulic pump. Don't let a good deal blind you for the service that is needed when buying an RV, especially a Jayco. read more

Let's add another not to bring your unit here. Once they said everything was "fixed" I went to pick up my trailer. While doing my walk around after hitching up, I found damage to the nose cap of my trailer. It appeared they either ran another unit into my trailer or the other way around. Went into Parts a month ago-- spoke with Shane the Parts and Service Manager after waiting for 15 minutes. Brought my motorhome in looking for an end cap for my shade. He took the information and said he would email the manufacturer and get back to me. No correspondence-- send a follow up email a month later... he said yes sorry he hadn't gotten back had heard back from the manufacturer however the part is no longer manufactured and he sent me to EBay to find the part. After waiting a month for a scheduled appointment I brought in the 3 month old Thor (bought at La Mesa) for warranty work on 12/19/24. I was told the Service Manager would call me the next day. I never received a call or email or text from the Service Manager. I called her on 12/30/24. She returned my call and email later that day and explained that they 'hadn't even started working on it' and that they always tell their customers it will be 3 weeks minimum. They of course did not mention that. Also, Why would any business schedule appointments and then not work on the coarch? Reputable businesses don't do that. She then rattled off every excuse imaginable for why there was a) no communication and b) why the RV hasn't even been looked at yet. I wish I had read the many, many bad reviews on this service department before I bought the coach. Had I known the Service Dept. was so awful, I wouldn't have bought from La Mesa. My motorhome has been there for over a month and they haven't even looked at it to provide me the estimates for the parts I was asking about. That's not even the worst part. I've called for updates and they've said they'd have a service advisor reach out. I've called and left voicemails in hopes of returns calls. Nope. They don't respond and don't commit to keeping customers informed of progress along the way, even when requested to provide an update. This brings me to today. When I called this morning just after opening and got ahold of someone, they told me that the maintenance advisor wouldn't be in until later. I told them I needed to know the status of my RV because I have upcoming plans. 2 hours before closing and no call back. I called and was told my advisor was out at the shop. I asked to be transferred to the service manager where I left a voicemail. I finally got a call back from my advisor about 10 min later. Nothing has been done. They haven't looked at the RV to provide any more detailed estimates or determine what parts need ordered. I recommend going somewhere else if you want to get work done on your rig or if you want a service center that will return your call. That's what I ended up doing. La Mesa RV on Chiles Road in Davis, CA, completed all of our warranty work on our Thor Four WInds 25V motorhome and they did a great job. Courtney Engles was our service advisor. We highly recommend her to manage your work order. We purchased the motorhome from a dealer located 2-1/2 hours from us and were grateful La Mesa agreed to do the warranty work (other Thor authorized warranty service providers near us declined since we didn't buy the RV from them). It was several weeks before an appointment was available. We had a list of 3 critical issues for repair (heater did not work, refrigerator door handle cracked, USB charging centers did not work reliably) and about 20 small or cosmetic items. We delivered the motorhome for the appointment and Courtney handled everything from there. She kept us informed about her communications with Thor and all work was covered. I think she kept the techs on track as well. The techs did all the work well. We were very happy with the work done and it was delivered on time, as promised. On our first camping trip after picking up the RV from La Mesa, the slide out would not open. We can still get around in the rig with our floorplan so it was disappointing but not serious. Courtney got us in right away, reserved a slide out motor for us, and the techs fixed the problem while we waited, in just a few hours. Thor covered it all. We were back home before 1:00 p.m. Excellent customer relations and service. Because of Courtney and the tech/repair staff, we will return to La Mesa and plan to work with Courtney for future needs. Easy drive from Concord, easy access to a very large lot, drive through breezeway to deliver rig, and inside service are to talk with advisors. Just need to think ahead for service appointments. Everything from Service advisors to the technicians to the restructuring/streamlining has turned this place into a top notch business. I purchased a Thor camper van as new from La Mesa November 2022. I noticed the house battery was not charging after it's driven for extended hours. I made an appointment for this issue with LA Mesa service in Davis. The appointment was for1/09/2023 Monday. I dropped off my camper van on 1/9/23 per appointment scheduled. As of today, which is 1/31/23, they were unable to figure out the cause. Here is a log of my experience with Ms. Kayla at LA Mesa listed in chronological order: 1/9/2023 Monday  I drop off my camper van. Ms. Kayla told me they will perform diagnostics in 2 days and call me. 1/10 & 1/11/2023 (next 2 days) I figured they were supposed to be running diagnostics for 2 days as planned. No  phone calls. 1/12/2023 Thursday  I called Kayla asking when I can pick up the camper van. That's because I have another appointment on 1/14 Sat to have a dash cam installed at another place. I was told the camper van would not be ready and Kayla will contact me Mon (1/16) or Tue (1/17). 1/16/2023 Monday  Kayla did not contact me 1/17/2023 Tuesday I called 2 times, left message, and there was no call back. I went by La Mesa and Kayla was there. Though she apologized for not replying to me, Kayla said it was not an alternator issue and my camper van should be ready for pick up in 2 days. 1/18/2023 Wednesday (next day) No calls 1/19/2023 Thursday (2nd day) I called. Kayla said my camper van was not ready and they will call me next Mon or Tue (1/23 or 1/24) 1/23/2023 Monday No calls. 1/24/2023 Tuesday  I called because I was supposed to pick up my camper van. No reply. I called later. Phone was picked up by Kayla but I was asked why I kept calling. She indicated she was busy and had 60 cars waiting for her. She said the technician could not handle the problem and they will need to contact Thor and, again, will call me the following Mon or Tue (1/30 or 1/31). 1/31/2023 Tuesday No calls from Kayla or LA Mesa. I called twice  and the phone was not picked up and the message was not returned. For those who need to know whether LA Mesa service in Davis is good or not, stay tuned. I had a list of 15 items to look over. They took over 5 weeks to complete the repairs on the list. One major concern was that the water pump was constantly running and there was no pressure. La Mesa couldn't find any issues with it. After over $2000 worth of repairs, first trip out, the water pump doesn't work. Do your research, take your unit elsewhere. My opinion is La Mesa is like taking your car to the dealership, you're going to get screwed. Lost a customer for life. I expected more for my money. read more

This is less of a review than a warning to people who do not live in Sacramento area and wish to purchase an RV here. Do not. Find a place closer to where you live and buy it there. (Our purchase experience here was actually good. If you live in the area please ignore this.) RVs are temperamental creatures and you will need service. At which time you will find it difficult to obtain service if you live a couple of hours away. We are in the Bay Area, and do not want to drive all the way here for repairs. We are under warranty but dealing with the manufacture directly has been a total nightmare. We wish we had purchased closer to home, even though this place had better inventory than the dealership closer to us. read more

We bought a used class A from out of state that needed a few little things done. Called them mid November and scheduled to drop off mid March. After a week they called me with quotes and approvals for the work. Four days later we pick it up. All items were done and under the estimates. They even cut me a deal on something I didn't want repaired that visit and reinstalled it without charge. Bill was lower than expected. I think with the boom in RV's it was a reasonable amount of time for everything. Parts prices were fair. The rig was clean when returned. Very good first time experience with them. You have a 100,000,000 dollar service garage that has been freshly constructed, and you dont service brakes, suspension or wheel bearings? GTFOH. Im going to do my best to tell every person I know to stear clear of these Jackwagons. Had my oil changed in my Winnebago Sprinter I purchased from La Mesa RV $115k. Exactly five months later I had a huge oil leak and it was spraying on the road too. Mercedes Benz picked my Sprinter up and towed it to the Reno MB dealer. MB Reno indicated that the previous oil filter was incorrectly installed. It was on so tight the gasket was crushed. I emailed the La Mesa service rep I have always dealt with. She said sorry, we only warrant our work for 4 months or 4000 miles. I was at five months and 8500 miles and oil change are only needed every 20000 miles. So the oil filter was not supposed to leave and certainly not at 42% of the mileage it is expected to be used. Sorry....that was all I got from La Mesa for a $200+ defective oil change. read more

If I can give LaMesa negative 5 stars I would! We bought a used 2014 Roadtrek and took it to LaMesa for servicing because they were the nearest dealer and the Roadrek is still under warranty. The problem we had was the battery (for the camper). Supposedly, LaMesa fixed the problem. And weeks later, just as we were about to go on a trip, the battery wasn't working again. So back to LaMesa we went. They replaced the battery so we thought we were done. But another and new problem came up. Just as we were about to go on a trip, we kept hearing a clicking sound which told us that something was trying to start, but that built-in protection turned it off. There was obviously a bad connection. Back to LaMesa. Supposedly this time they fixed it. We didn't hear it on the way home (then again, this was a new problem, one that wasn't encountered during the trip from Michigan to CA). The first time it came up was after LaMesa replaced the batteries! Then today, just a few weeks after picking it up from LaMesa, as we are about to take a trip --- the engine's battery was dead. After re-starting, we hear the same clicking sound. WTF? We haven't even driven anywhere except to LaMesa and back. We didn't have that clicking sound before except after they replaced the camper's battery. We've made three trips, paid good money. And it still isn't working right. So sorry we even went to LaMesa. I don't even want to go back there. They'll probably "fix" one problem and create a new one. How are they still in business? read more

Contacted LA Mesa RV to help schedule an appointment for a rv repair (window) through a prior authorization from an out of state dealer for a new Omni xg32. La mesa rv states they do not accept prior authorizations and they have no. appointments in the foreseeable future due to how the industry is backed up. I'm afraid this place has been put in a horrible position. The sales people at the dealership up the road can sell poorly built RV's way faster than the repair people could ever fix them. You can expect to be scheduled about 90 days from the time you call for help. You can then expect that the repairs will not be done correctly or completely. You can then expect to repeat the process including the 90 day wait. read more

My RV air conditioner would not work, compressor would start but no fan. I went to La Mesa RV in Davis CA and asked about an appt. to diagnose, asking if they could check the run capacitor, as Dometic said it could be the issue. The service mgr. said that they do not replace the parts, they would only replace the air conditioner, which would cost about $1,200 and labor approx. $400. I checked with a refrigerator repair guy and he replaced the capacitor and cost me $100. La Mesa told me they would make an appt. in 2 months. Not great service for one who has purchased 2 new RVs from them! read more
