Good Latin dance place. Nice drink selection. Reasonably priced. Did not have any food (arrived 11pm).

I'm writing this review as I'm seating at the bar just so that I don't forget what's going on around me.... This place had it's grand opening last night.. but it is in reality running on training wheels ! There is only one bartender for the whole place... which is not even full... maybe 25 people... that hasn't come all at once and they are running like a chicken without a head. There is a lot of bickering between the work staff and I can imagine that this is only the start. It's only 6 PM. And I don't know whether to order another drink or just jump over and help..... I will give it another try sometime soon and re-do my review accordingly. So far... it is very disappointing and actually embarrassing.

La Mesa was definitely not what I was expecting! Loved the energy, not boring at all! I had a $20 cover charge, which was the only down side, not sure if that's normal or if it was an event? Other than that the drinks were great. The ya tu sabes shots were yummy. Loved the atmosphere and how Miami the place was lol!

The brunch ? DELISH! The vibes? IMMACULATE ! The music ? SUPREME! The mimosas? UNLIMITED. Check this place out for brunch. We've been here a dozen times and every time ITS A GREAT TIME. Just be ready to nap afterwards. Maybe even Uber

The food is fine, the service is 'good,' and the atmosphere is excellent. It's a good place to share, dance, and enjoy shows every week. If you plan to drink vodka or tequila, expect to spend no less than $300 per bottle (excluding the best bottles). The regular prices are overpriced, ranging from $40 to $90. It's better to opt for cocktails, a glass of wine, or beer.

Stay by the bar and enjoy the best live band in west Miami! Not worth coming in a large group since they add a $10 cover charge per head. Unfortunately, 5 people left without paying and we had to foot the bill. The shot was ok. Like I said, stay by the bar and enjoy the band.

La Mesa Miami was an enjoyable experience. We came during lunch. The ambiance was perfect, with Cuban music playing in the background and wonderful decorations everywhere. The lunch menu also had a lot of choices to choose from. We ordered an appetizer, The Sampler. Which came with a good amount of food to share. It came with croquetas, fried yuca, fried cheese, masitas de puerco, and mariquitas. For entrees, we got the Vaca Frita, the Churrasco, and the Masitas de Puerco. All the entrees were delicious and filled us up. It was very empty at the time we came, but at night it gets more packed. I would definitely be coming back for their dinner hours. The only reason I am giving it a 4/5 is because the waitress was gone for a very long time without coming back to the table to refill our waters. She was very kind, but we barely saw her. Overall, La Mesa was awesome. I would highly recommend trying it out.

    FLAT CHAMPAGNE (worst mimosas ever)

I was not even slightly impressed with this place. Let's start with parking... they block each spot with cones and charge ten dollars to valet when that place should have free parking. It's not even downtown... it's in the middle of Coral way.... Then we sat for our reservations and the first thing we were told was that there is a $50 dollar spending limit during weekends. Normally I would be okay with that if the food and drinks were actually good, but they weren't good. The mimosas tasted like pure syrup or orange juice. Champagne is suppose to be bubbly... not a single bubble in the glass... not even after I poured it. Just look at the picture. I felt like I was drinking straight sugary OG with FLAT champagne. I went with four of my friends and ALL of us received cold food. It looks like they prepare everything before hand and jumble everything on a plate when someone orders. Let me know if you can eat cold pork, eggs, or fries... BECAUSE I CANT. It wasn't even slightly warm.... I couldn't enjoy it. We had the CABALLO 305 (it was okay), crab croquetas (I've had better), avocado toast (not worth it), bacon wrapped maduros (cold so not enjoyable), loaded tostones (the beef was really chewy), the chicken and waffles (worst I've ever had) and two others... They will not be seeing us again... After several mimosas I was still not even slightly tipsy. The dj was talking too much and the crowd was really young... Not to mention, the waitress was nowhere to be found sometimes. All the waiters were hanging out by the bar since people were up and dancing. People still need service. They need to walk around and check on us. Overall, I rather take my money to Tap42 or Cooper Blues where they have better champagne, food, music, and waiters. Step it up, La Mesa.

Inside seating available during COVID! The inside of this place is VERY cute! We went for dinner and the music was playing, definitely a great time! I'm sure for brunch this place gets pretty fun (which is nice knowing that you don't have to go all the way to wynwood for a good time). Bartender was a little slow, I believe there was only 1 so it took a while for the drinks to come out --cojelo suave & living my best life are delicious! Food portions are pretty good But my 1 drink & 1 meal was wasn't worth the $50 tab. Yes my food was GOOD but I expected more flavor for a $24 dish.

A couple friends of mine and I went to brunch this past Sunday. I had the Cubans bread aguacate toast and it was good. (Nothing too amazing). My fiancé had the bistec a caballo and he thought it was ok. My friends ordered the toston Benedict and the pancakes. All the portions are extremely small and bland. But when it came to the service it sucked!!! TERRIBLE service. They also charged us an automatic service charge for a party of 4.. They play a lot of good Spanish music which we enjoyed. But not happy with the service at all.

The place is really beautiful. Definitely did a great job with the decor and setting the whole vibe. It's very Miami yet modern and tropical and hip all at the same time. The place is very large and decided into sections. As you walk in there are couches and bistro tables on one side and on the other there is a bakery set up. You can order coffee, sandwiches and pastel iris there. The main room comes next, divided by a bookcase full on interesting artifacts, collections, knack-knacks. It's a large dining space with bigger tables and a stage set up in the back. On the side of the space there is a large bar and also some high top seats. The concept is fantastic. It's bright and full of color. From outside you would never expect it. We were a group of six that cane for lunch on a Wednesday. It was not busy at all... maybe one more table. Service was spotty, un attentive, and not helpful. We felt initially rushed then it was very slow. The food was good, tasty. But basic Cuban food. Noting noteworthy but good quantity and average price. I had the pork chunks with white rice and maduros. Everything had the right flavors and tasted fresh, especially the rice!...I'm a sucker for good white rice! but I think my pork was a bit on the fatty side and slightly undercooked. My friends seemed to enjoy the food but were equally as unimpressed. I'm curios about combining back for drinks one evening since it seems that they would have live music and a good ambiance. Would definitely give it another chance.

    Lomo Saltado

I had the lomo saltado and the flavor was good but the portions were small, barely any steak. I loved the ambiance with all the neon lights and the menu was hilarious! Service was okay but after 9PM it's basically a club with a DJ and loud music. A lot of people come here to dance after hours.

The food, the cocktails, the service were all top notch. This was not the same place I disliked so much a few years ago. We were a big group and my sister picked the menu with the help of the friendly, & cool manager - I think his name was Angelo maybe. Anyway he gelped with the drink and food service and the whole team was spectacular. Water and drinks were always full and the food was delicious. We all had pan con tomate, croquetas, a delicious, crisp salad, and the thickest and fluffiest French toast. So, I stand corrected. Level 6 was fabulous, cool, with great service and delicious food. The fire dancer, the drum player, and those beautiful views were the perfect mix. We had made reservations ahead of time which I would recommend if you plan on seating and having a bite. While we waited for our table we stood by the bar and each ordered a fabulous cocktail. The menu had it all to suit everyone's needs whatever your spirit of choice. Once seated we really just enjoyed the whole experience. We sat at a spacious table with one seating comfy enough for three and ottoman's for the rest of our party. We were comfortable as we were a party of 6. Pictures, gossip, and laughs persisted. We all ordered and shared tasty appetizers. Our spread consisted of truffle fries, grilled octopus, shrimp, potato bravas, tuna tartare, fish croquette, pan con tomate with, manchego cheese, and chicken paella. We were a happy bunch and everything we tried we all loved. As we finished with more cocktails and a surprise birthday treat, a deejay began to play and kept the mood going. Really such a nice spot for dinner, drinks, entertainment, and views.

We asked to sit downstairs where the DJ starts around 11PM. The energy was great with incredibly comfortable and spacious seating. There was a 2 hour limit at the table, but we moved to the bar after our meal. Loved the caviar potato as an appetizer, and the beef tenderloin literally melted in my mouth. The downstairs scene gets pretty loud just an FYI. Service was top notch. Seems pretty trendy and mainstream, but definitely worth it.

Mila is undeniably gorgeous and absolutely the place to be seen for dinner -- but as a brunch…read moredestination, it left me longing for the Setai. Let's start with the good, because credit where it's due: the food is genuinely excellent, particularly the fish and seafood, which were the clear stars of the spread. And our server, while I'll get to a quibble shortly, was fun, warm, and thoroughly professional. Now the rest. Brunch should feel like a leisurely indulgence, not a contact sport. The meat station had a queue of 20+ people at peak -- I came for great food, not a deli ticket. The space is crowded and genuinely hard to navigate. Champagne required actively hunting down a server, whereas the Setai simply leaves a bottle at your table and lets you breathe. Coffee is $7 a cup -- at a brunch of this price point, charging for coffee feels a little cheeky. Then there was the pacing. Well before our two hours were up, our (otherwise lovely) server began the gentle wrap-up and produced the bill -- which is a curious energy for a "linger and enjoy" brunch. And we were charged an extra 2% as a "large party" of seven... at a buffet. Where we served ourselves. I'm still working out the math on that one. If you want a beautiful setting, live music, better drinks, attentive service, and zero queues, the Setai brunch wins -- every single time. Mila, save it for the nightlife.
