Stopped here by chance from seeing the sign on the way home from Smithville. It did not disappoint our server was Brandy and she was amazing, very knowledgeable and there to make sure we enjoyed everything. Food was amazing as well as the drinks. First time here opening week, we had a party of 7. Food came out very quickly there was a small mishap with one dish but the owner resolved the issue. All of the food was incredible as well as the desserts. I've gone twice. both to celebrate a friends birthday. i have to say I'm not big on Mexican food , BUT.... omg the food was so good. we ordered the chicken and beef empanadas, bang bang shrimp and steak fajitas.. along with a mango and passion fruit margarita (frozen drink) ..EVERYTHING was great and what made it even better, is a server named Brandi.... she was so sweet.. knew the menu and gave us great suggestions we will return read more

Went there this afternoon for the first time and had the best margarita ever. When they say hand crafted, they mean it. I tried the margarita of the week , it was a spicy grapefruit. It was smooth (not too sweet) and a very nice jalapeño finish. My wife had the regular margarita and was also the best she ever had and again "ALL" margaritas are hand made. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and was a real pleasure, a real friendly and energetic person. As far as food was concerned, we had arrived early afternoon and and had already had breakfast but we saw a few entrees come out to diners and the breakfast burrito and it looked delicious. Came into the business at 2:55 to make an order to go. Door was open and the "open" sign was lit. As soon as I came in, I was prompted that they weren't open until 3. Don't understand why the door was open in addition to the open sign being lit. Could have just taken my order, but was basically told to come back in 5 minutes. Crazy. read more

I have been to La Mese multiple times and usually enjoy it, even though it's on the pricier side. We went for Mother's Day brunch and was not happy at all with the experience. We placed our order and never saw the waitress again until the bill. When our meals came out, mine was on the cooler side. I'm not that picky so I figured fine I was just eat it. My mother's order was wrong and after some confusion it was taken back for the correct one. My son's order, which was only pancakes, came out last, well after the rest of us had our meals and were almost done eating. My mother and I had gotten mimosas and were told a refill would be $2 even though the restaurant's Facebook page said it was bottomless mimosas. Finally, when the bill came the price for one of the meals was not the same as on the menu. The owner (I'm assuming) did come around to see how everything was, however by then we had already paid, and it was pointless to say anything. Unfortunately, this place will not be on the top of my list of local places anymore. It has become too expensive for what you get and the service has declined. read more

Friday night out . The place is beautiful inside , great music, and awesome atmosphere. We started off with the Guvapolitan which was delicious . For an appetizer we got the bang bang shrimp . The shrimp tasted like Gortons frozen popcorn shrimp. The sauce was bland . I ordered the Birra Tacos and they were okay . The next drink I got was Watermelon Mint Cooler which was delicious ! The staff was very friendly . I understand it was opening week so hopefully the food will improve or maybe it was just what I got . Price was high for Mexican food . We had to ask 3 times for silverware and napkins but I will give them the benefit since they were slammed . Hopefully they will offer a happy hour or some sort of specials . read more

The service was excellent! Food came out super fast as well! The food was moderate nothing that made u say wow ! We started off with the seafood ceviche which was good but was filled with more scallops then anything ! I order the shrimp tacos which were a complete miss! U could tell the shrimp was out of a frozen bag and not fresh ! The shrimp were tossed in a sweet sauce which I wasn't a fan of with some coleslaw that brought no flavor!! My husband had steak taco that were delicious! Music was too loud couldn't even have a conversation with my husband on our date night ! Over all was a good experience food can be a lot better !! We had a large party and it took forever for the server/bartender (he was doing both?) to take our order. Had to ask another person for alcoholic drinks. When the food came out, my husbands carne asada tacos were flavorless and wasn't skirt steak. It was like a London broil cut up. My birria tacos were tender. The rice.. flavorless and disgusting. The building itself is fun. The margarita I had wasn't a margarita. It tasted like literal tequila watered down. We ordered dessert too. It took 2.5 hours there for a party of 10 adults. We had to ask for more chips 3 times for our large table. It was as if they grabbed a handful and put them on the table for us. I don't know if they were short staffed or if this is the normal for them as it was my first time but we (my husband and I) will not be going back. It was extremely disappointing and the food ISN'T authentic Mexican AT ALL. Very over priced for flavorless, unappealing food and drinks. read more

It's sad to say I went there the first day they open with the hubby it was nice the food was good. Then I went and celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday dinner. Again it was good .. Decided to go for Mothers day brunch and had the worst service ever. No it wasn't that busy the server had about 4 tables. As a server myself I know what busy is. Anyways it all started when my husband went in and asked the owner for a high chair in which we never got I had to send my husband to get it after the owner walked by and saw I had the baby on my lap. Ok maybe he over saw it although he was walking around asking how's everything. We place our drink order and our food order. She wrote everything down. Comes with the drinks and forgets my daughter's oj and a water. Bring the oj forgets the water Again. Ok . Entre comes out she forgot my stuffed French toast. When I asked her she looked confused.Everybody had their food already. Ok I don't know who's she took but they gave It to me quick.once she dropped the food she never came back lol. I'm like ok .....Now my husband got up and left while I waited for the bill. Here comes the owner and I didn't complain I just told him The server hasn't came to our table in about 10 min. Can we plz get the bill. I still tipped 20% Like I said I'm in the field too but honestly she was bad. Oh she even got the costumer food next to ours wrong. Lol. Servers need a little more training on how to pay attention, and how to take orders and remember that's a big plus on food services. read more

Nice addition to Galloway! To my understanding it's their first week open and really has a crowd tonight. The prices are a tad high considering it's Mexican. Drinks average $12 for 6oz considering all the ice ; when most in the area are in the range of $7-$10 for at least 8-10 oz. We ordered the Bang, bang shrimp which was nothing special and far from what you'd expect. They used frozen breaded shrimp which I'm not a fan of. The flavor of the sauce was bland and just flavorless. The chicken empanadas were decent. Lastly the Birria tacos which is really all I went for were just ok. Not much flavor to the beef, broth or even the onions and cilantro that accompany them. Price considering their size. Service was really slow considering there were 5 people including our own server just standing around not attentive to customers at all. Thankfully one of the owners took notice at our 20 minute wait and made it a point to address our server. I truly hope they improve in flavor, pricing and service because it would be nice to not have to drive to Vineland or Philly for good Birria tacos. read more
