Food was great - I particularly liked the San Jacobo de lomo de Potes. Patatas bravas are as good as you will find most places. Clean and modern atmosphere, though service was a little spotty.

Had an absolutely AMAZING experience at La Maruca yesterday. It is my first time visiting Spain and my friends brought me here to try some classic Spanish dishes. We were able to walk in for lunch which was great considering this is such a nice and busy restaurant The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. I would recommend getting a tinto de verano (classic Spanish drink made with red wine and fruit juice) to drink. The burrata salad was delicious and croquettes are something you must try. The restaurant is two floors and there is a covered outdoor terrace as well. The downstairs lighting is great for taking photos of the food. We sat on the lower level. The vibe for lunch is upscale casual. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

It's a beautiful restaurant in the heart of fancy shopping district of Madrid. Just make sure they don't sit you downstairs which is not very pretty. We sat by the outdoor patio in the middle of August and there's a nice breeze so it was not too hot. The dishes were well made and creative. The only one I didn't care for was the fried squid which was not seasoned and tasted very bland. The service is typical of European culture, "ask then you shall receive or I will not come by and bother you".

We came here on a friends recommendation and I am glad we did. This was without a doubt my favorite meal in Madrid. It is located in a pretty upscale neighborhood, but the prices are very reasonable. This place was busy, but they were able to get us a table with about a half hour wait. The wait we well worth it. Everything that we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. After some debate about what appetizer to get we decided to skip the appetizer and just get an extra entree. My wife had a fish dish that I don't recall, but I do remember that it tasted great. Other tables around us had ordered the baked pasta dish with a bolognese sauce that just looked so good we had to order it to share. It was really quite delicious and left my mouth wanting more. I ordered the roasted glazed lamb and it was simply amazing. I made sure to get every bit of that sauce. We normally skip the dessert at restaurants and go someplace different for that treat, but the food was so good here dessert was essential even though I was stuffed. I am a big fan of lemon meringue, so that is what I decided on. It did not disappoint as it was a perfect ending to a great meal.

The grilled octopus ... So good!

This place was so delicious. The decor and ambience was upbeat and classy. I loved the beef croquettes, salmon tartare, patatas bravas, and grilled octopus. The quality of these items were phenomenal! I highly recommend coming here if you're ever in Madrid. Keep in mind you should try to make a reservation if you're coming after 9pm because it gets busy.

Chic looking space, service was fine, food presentation was good, however, the food was very mediocre. Given the price level in this neighborhood perhaps not surprising. The fried squid was the most expensive on that side of the menu, and it came out as street food, which was a bit shocking. ( or maybe just way we eat, that's normally a street food type) While sometimes you over pay, but around areas like this in Madrid, so we got what we paid for I guess. (Price reference: 2 drinks, 3 appetizers, 2 main dishes, total €85)

From the moment we walked in, the staff was beyond friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was vibrant, lively, and fun. I ordered the sangria, which was honestly the best I had in Madrid, while my mom enjoyed a lovely glass of wine. We started with the padrón peppers, burrata with tomato salsa, and patatas bravas -- every single dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had the beef with chimichurri and butter, and OMG... it was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly, and all the flavors complemented each other so well. To finish the night, we shared the chocolate dessert and the "Love Chueca" cocktail, which was incredible and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. Amazing food, fantastic drinks, wonderful staff, and such a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Madrid!

Not too cartoonish, just the proper decor to make you feel in the Spanish traditional mood. We started with the Steak Tartar de Bellota sobre tuétano asado a la brasa, a bold yet well-balanced dish. The beef was fresh, finely cut, and seasoned with precision, allowing the quality of the meat to shine. The roasted bone marrow added depth and richness without overwhelming the tartare, and the toasted bread on the side brought crunch to each bite. One of the highlights and favorites was the Arroz meloso de la huerta, cooked with coconut milk. Creamy and aromatic, the rice had a smooth, comforting texture with a subtle coconut note that added more flavor rather than sweetness. The vegetables brought freshness and balance, making it easy to see why this is a favorite of the head chef, especially when paired with a glass of ICENI, Vino de la Tierra de Cádiz, which sparks aromatic notes to this recipe. Another standout was the Puntillitas de Isla Cristina con Parmentier de Trufa y Huevo Frito. An Andalucian authentic dish. The puntillitas were crispy and perfectly cooked. The truffled parmentier added richness, while the fried egg blends everything. To accompany the meal, the marinated olives were a simple nice add-on. Service is well delivered. Overall, Triana delivers a confident and reliable dining experience. A traditional not too pretentious spot to bring friends coming from abroad with no unnecessary theatrics. Well-executed dishes, quality ingredients, and a traditional neighborhood atmosphere that you can go back to if you are in the area.

Therefore, when I give a Spanish restaurant five stars you know it has to be good. However, not just good in flavor but innovative as well. Let's start with the restaurant. For a restaurant in the city it is quite roomy. Many tables litter the dinning area. Also, they have what looks to be a seating area upstairs (I'm not entirely sure since I didn't venture up). The entire place has a rustic, secluded feel that transports you far from Madrid into a warm, relaxing environment. The wait staff is helpful and friendly. We were served by three gorgeous and sweet ladies who ensured own meal and experience was top notch. The food was portioned right and delicious. We enjoyed wine, vermouth, beer, carne, ox tail, fried eggplant and potatoes, and finished it all with a shot of sweet liqueur. The food was created with spice and flavor, which made the meal fantastic. Overall, this was an amazing restaurant coupled with an amazing experience. I will definitely return. Enjoy!
