Le Madeline reminds me of the french version of Panera. The inside set up is the same starts off you enter and to the left is their bakery selections and to the right is the cashier where you order. Their menu has a lot more to offer than panera with a lot of french country type of dishes. The line was long but our turn came quickly. I ordered the eggs benedict , potato gallete and lemonade. When we finished our order we were sat quickly even though the place was packed. The waiter brought our food just as quick. The eggs benedict was "okay" the eggs tasted like they were cooked in a mold and also slightly over done. It came in a croissant with a hollandaise sauce, that also tasted just "okay". Not bad, not amazing, I've had better but I ate most of it. The potato galette was just a fancy hashbrown, also not bad. Before we left we we tried something from the bakery 2 mini fruit tarts and cheesecake mousse (mini) and vanilla mini mousse. Although they looked pretty, the fruit tart tasted soggy like it was sitting in the fridge for a few days longer than it should have. The pastry cream tasted like they used a cornstarch powder. So I can't say I'd come back and try more desserts. But I would come back to try other things on the menu. read more

Only selecting one star because I have to. YVETTE asked me if I wanted to FIGHT HER ??!!! The most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered in my entire life. I waited while Yvette helped another patron with no problem. When she acknowledged me I stepped forward and asked for soup and if it came with soup crackers. She dryly stated "NO." I said okay, and to let me step over and see if there was any bread I could have with my soup. As I was speaking, she walked away and started helping someone else. I looked at another patron behind me and said "did that really just happen?" I totally understand dealing with rude Karen-esque patrons. That is not me. I never yelled, raised my voice or insulted her. At the point that she returned to me I wasn't smiling but who would be? She was clearly giving off negative energy from the beginning. She returned in a huff and told me I had an attitude and asked if I had a problem. I told her she was completely unprofessional and asked her if she was serious, after she asked me if I wanted to "go somewhere" Staff member Yvette is an embarrassment to all management at this location. I don't think you can go wrong with breakfast or lunch at La Madeleine. The only negative pertaining to this location is the way it's set up: The seating areas just feel dark and closed off (to me anyway) & you don't get to see the fruits and salads and potato galettes etc behind the counter. Meh. That's my opinion of La Madelines. I arrived for a girls' dinner and froze in the lobby while I waited. It was really crazy. I ordered a chicken samdwich and fruit salad. We found a warmer place in the restaurant. Every group eating were all in the same area because of the cool/warm difference. Everything was tasty once we got it. We had to wait, what I felt, was a long time foe the type of food we ordered. We did enjoy ourselves and our food though. read more

I was really disappointed in this experience. First of all the customer service was awful we stood in front of the counter for at least 10 minutes and nobody came out or acknowledged us. Secondly food came out and it was cold we both ordered hot sandwiches. In the photos you will see the mushroom soup and it appears curdled and the milk separating. It was also cold am I am not sure it was ever heated up. We have been off the mainland for a while and were excited about dining here. It has been a while since we have come here. I always remember the fireplace and eating a bowl of french onion soup. They haven't updated the interior one bit in the 15 or so years we've come here. Not sure that is a good thing. It is looking a little long in the tooth, but not truly bad just yet. A few more years and they will need to redo the inside. The time is approaching. Walking in, we're greeted with a glass case with delicious looking deserts. Poster card perfect in every way. Being a diabetic, that is just mean! They are beautiful. I could just about bring my big camera and ask to take time to photograph the food in the glass case people, I am not kidding you. Not sure if they taste as good as they look, but the presentation is fantastic. I ordered a three salad plate. I get to choose three of their salads. My wife ordered her usual bowl of french onion soup. We take our number and sat down. I go to the station where the bread offerings and beverages are located. They keep a platter of various breads out for sampling. This was about 5:15 pm if memory serves correct. I tried one slice of each bread. Not edible. They were all super stale, dry, and hard. They had been out too long. I was really disappointed. I ordered coffee and water. They give a coffee cup and you self serve near the bread. Large metal canisters with varying coffee options. I tried a taste of each to see which I wanted. I'm sorry to say they were luke warm at best and not fresh. That was another disappointment. Our food arrives. My salads were really good. The presentation was nice. I had a spinach bacon salad, pasta pesto bow tie, and pecan cranberry salad. All were good. As a matter of fact, the spinach bacon was excellent and the pecan cranberry was so good I have decided I could return just for that. I recommend all three. They were fresh, presentation was good, and I enjoyed every bite. I returned for a refill of coffeel, still luke warm and bleh. But the bread has been refreshed. It was now tasty and good. So if you can catch the bread fresh, it is delicious. My wife said her french onion soup was "ok." That is her normal thing to eat when we go there. She said she felt it wasn't much more special than what she gets out of a can at home. Ouch. But she ate it and said it was good enough to eat. We sat next to the fireplace and enjoyed the ambiance. My wife ordered a blueberry cream cheese croissant. She said it was "good." Mixed results. The interior is tired, coffee was unacceptable. The bread is good when fresh, the salads worth getting, the deserts amazing to look at, and the fireplace is still calling our name. read more

This is a wonderful lunch spot. I must say that I'm not a huge fan of "Panera like" restaurants, but this one is definitely a lot more upscale, delicious, and fun! The entrees were very good/large portioned and the tomato soup was the best I've ever had. They have a free bread bar where you can pick out as much of any kind of bread you want and they also have a selection of yummy jams to go with it. They greet you in French when you walk in, play French music, and they even play French language lessons in the bathrooms. I was very impressed. It's a little pricey, but I left feeling full (unlike how I usually feel when leaving Panera or Atlanta Bread Company) so I would say that it's beyond worth the price!! This is a lovely little bistro for a quiet lunch and I would highly recommend it. I can't believe that we almost missed out on it because of the In N Out Burger next door!! read more

I've always been a La Madeleine fan (or what my former boss referred to as 'the chick food place'). Their layout has changed since I last went though. You used to stand in a line and point to any soups, quiches, or salads you wanted and they would then toss them fresh and hand it to you cafeteria style. Now you order at the register and they bring everything to your table when it's ready. They do still have their complimentary bread and jam station, as well as an array of baked goods including delicious lemon madeleines (naturally), mini creme brûlée tarts, croissants, and a multitude of breads to name a few. Some of my favorite items include their famous silky tomato basil soup, the pasta salad, strawberries Romanoff, and any of their sandwiches or salads. I usually order the salad trio to get a variety of all the things I like. The inside is cozy with lit fireplaces and rustic tables. There is no waiter service so it almost has a coffee house vibe (which is appropriate because they make coffee drinks as well). Ideal for lunch, or even a place to come solo with a book as you won't feel rushed. We went yesterday and it was exciting for me being my first meal out post wisdom teeth removal surgery. I had a bowl of the tomato basil soup which was rich and comforting. My husband got the French dip sandwich with a side Caesar salad and enjoyed his food too. Normally I only come for lunch so I've never tried their breakfast or dinner items, but I'm sure they are also good. When we paid our bill, the woman behind the counter took a gift card someone had apparently left behind and used the remaining $2 balance to deduct from our tab. A small gesture, but one we greatly appreciated nonetheless. They now have a free app too that you can use to gain reward points. You get a free lemon madeleine or butter croissant for signing up, free birthday pastry or slice of cake, customized offers, and holiday event invites. OMG...What a DISASTER! How do you have THREE people working the TO GO for pickups and yet you have a line of 4 people and I have to wait an additional 15 minutes AFTER my pickup time? Not to mention the curbside pickup is a JOKE because they don't answer the texts or come out when you text per their instructions--From what I can tell there is ONE person cooking. My sandwich looked like a a complete shambles and I had to eat it with a fork and knife because it was such a MESS. This is another "airport restaurant star rating". Typically I would be a little disappointed with the selection and lack of egg whites, but we are in an airport so the rating skews higher. I had a layover at DFW with enough time to grab some breakfast at a place I could sit down before my next flight. I chose this option over the other restaurants because for breakfast food I believe they had the best value and quality. Entering it reminded me of a Panera with another name. Once I saw they offered omelettes I was sold! I placed my order and was asked if it was to go or stay which was odd to me since I ordered an omelette. I chose the to go option incase I had misjudged my time. After grabbing a seat and sipping on my coffee my omelette was ready and my name was being called. It was packaged perfect if you had to dash for a flight. I had an omelette with spinach, bell peppers, onions, and swiss cheese ( a .95 charge for the 4th option). I really think they should include the cheese, but once again we are in an airport where prices are unacceptable and quality is non existent (for the most part). This omelette was the exception to my airport quality comment. It was cooked well and was way more than I expected. The coffee is ok, Id rather have Starbucks, but why go to two places when they have it here. First visit and we really enjoyed it. I'm always thinking of French food as stuffy and pretentious, but this is a really nicely decorated, French Bistro-feel where you order at the register and it is brought to your table. Dining is divided into small, warmly lit areas that really adds to the experience. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta which seems to me like the French version of Carbonara. I also got to try the Beef Bourguignon, which was rich and full of flavor. This is a pretty busy location, at least at lunch time. It is designed a bit different that the other locations I have visited in that it is not cafeteria style at all. Essentially, you wait in line, order, and tjen wait for them to bring your food to your table. YUMMERS. La Madeline is one of my favorite places to go for just about anything, whether it be pasta, soup, salads, quiches, and of course, dessert! This past time, I decided to get their Chicken Friand covered in a Mushroom Sauce, and I died. It was SO good, way beyond my expectations. I'm a lover of mushrooms, so this was right up my alley. The puff pastry was just the right amount of flakiness but not too thick. It created a perfect shelter for the tender chicken inside. And the mushroom sauce (although may not look appealing) was beyond this world. It complimented perfectly with the texture of the pastry and married together well with the moist chicken. I couldn't leave without getting one of their desserts either. I got the Mini Fruit Tart, and it was all kinds of delicious. Literally took me 3 bites to finish, but it was the best 3 bites of the entire meal!! If you're gonna go here, do not pass up on their desserts, I don't care if you're on a diet! It's definitely a must. Overall I obviously recommend this place, and it's quite affordable as well. Not too shabby for some French cuisine! read more

Bacon so greasy, 7 napkins didn't soak it up, potato galette cold inside and scorched on outside. Charged for coffee, not refunded when I told them it was cold and thick as oil! Said they only make a pot once it is empty but I was given an old crumpled up tea bag! No jam or butter for croissant! Really bad service that charges surcharge for coffee undrinkable and requests tips up front that are neither earned or deserved and then employees & manager stand around behind counter talking, joking and ignoring customers and food problems! This is by no means a 5 star restaurant, but for brunch on a Friday, it's pretty good. The building is clean, staff is extra friendly, and the pastries are delicious! If you can stand the fake French accents, the dine-in service is alright as well. So I just tried to get breakfast from this location for the first time in a while, I even called my food in Togo to avoid any interaction with your employees and still I had issues. I sat on hold for ov beer 10 minutes, only to arrive and see the restaurant was nowhere near busy. And then after paying AND tipping on my Togo order I got home to see that both items I ordered were wrong. I'm done with this location for good. Definetly love getting fresh breakfast from you guys, food is always fantastic. Unfortunately today I witnessed an employee act completely out of line towards an employee in training, he was doing just fine getting me taken care of but he had a few questions. In response he got bombarded by this female employee who did nothing but bark at him and make him feel incompetent in front of me (the guest). Had to wait quite awhile to receive my food. When I finally did, my sandwich came with barely toasted bread and cold soup. I was sitting very near to the kitchen and order pick up area, and could see quite clearly that they were very disorganized. I heard several people around me commenting that their orders were wrong. I witnessed one person have to return her pizza two times because apparently it was still frozen. I stayed for quite awhile getting work done, so saw the table next to me not get cleaned/picked up from the previous customers for over an hour.
