If you're looking for a business mailbox, I caution you against Mail Station!…read more I signed up for a box with them in January 2024. At the time, customer service was great and I was really happy to be a customer. For a long time, I got my mail and had no issues. (Though I did often have package slips but no package) Then, in February of 2026, I got very sick, resulting in a hospital stay and major surgery. Once I got out of the hospital, I realized my payment to Mail Station hadn't come out of my business account. I called multiple times. No answer, so I left a message with my name and number explaining that I had been in the hospital, but I wanted to bring my account current if possible. I wasn't able to even walk at the time, so I couldn't go in. I never got a response. I assumed I'd changed the card on file and that my account was current, as I never heard anything. That was my mistake. In June 2026, I am finally physically functional again. I go in to check my mailbox and notice the mail inside isn't for me. I approach the counter and say, "I think my mailbox has been reassigned." They confirmed it had. I ask "Why, was I delinquent in payment?" The older man and the young woman behind the counter look me up in the system, but said they didn't know why my box was reassigned. I asked where my mail was. They didn't know that either. They asked if I had been out of town for a bit. I explained I was in the hospital getting surgery and hadn't been able to come in. I explained that'd I'd called Mail Station, and even left a detailed message with no response. They said, "Oh. Wow. Well, we don't know." So: - Mail Station closed my account without any attempt to contact me. No calls, no emails. If payment is the reason for the closure, I would've happily taken care of my account if I'd been contacted. As it stands, no one can confirm why my account was closed. - Mail Station reassigned my box without asking for the key back or changing the lock on the mailbox. This gave me access to another business' mail. That's not cool for the other business owner. I wish I remembered their name so I could let them know. - Mail Station lost, threw away, returned, or otherwise misplaced my mail but couldn't tell me anything about it. - Mail Station didn't attempt to in any way resolve the issue and I barely got an apology. They didn't even ask for the key back--I volunteered it as I never want to do business with them again and it's super unethical for me to have access to another business' mail. If you value your mail, which I assume you do since you're looking to rent a box, Mail Station is NOT your best option.

I have been to this postal store many time throughout my time living in Point Loma. The location…read moreis convenient and I have found the services to be helpful. I have dropped off things many times, as Amazon, and other services have used them as a location to drop of returns. They also have a regular mail drop box for letters. When I walk in, I typically am warmly greeted by staff. I have gone a few other times for various services. When planning my last trip out of the country, I realized that my passport had expired, and I needed to do priority processing to get it quickly. I went to this Postal Plus to get my passport photos taken. It was quick and easy. Recently, I had to have a document notarized. I was happy when I called to find that the owner was a notary, and would be there and available all day. It cost $15 which I believe is the going rate. There was a long line with a few customers before me and a few after me. After all, it was the holiday season. I thought he handled the line well without making people feel rushed, however, trying to get a few of the quicker services taken care of first. Regardless, I was in and out pretty quickly and on my way. I learned that this postal stop is moving a few blocks away due to increases in rent. It is a convenient shop to have nearby.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Some guy complained about not being able to borrow tape? Seriously? Buy tape (yes, they sell it), bring your own or figure it out before you get there. It's not a packing center and if they let you use tape, every single person would ask for tape and package up their stuff at the counter and lines would be horrendous. You're not paying them to pack or secure your parcel, so grow up, act like an adult or go elsewhere. Ain't nobody got time for that. Very disappointed with how this situation was handled…read more I dropped off two packages here at the same time -- one USPS and one FedEx. Exactly one week later I found out via my buyer and checking the tracking # that the FedEx package was never scanned into the FedEx system and appears to have been mishandled or possibly sent out with the USPS package instead. I called and also later that day returned to the store and spoke with the same employee who originally accepted the packages. I explained my concern and suspicion that the labels werent read carefully and was told they would "call USPS" the following morning. What bothered me most was the complete lack of concern or accountability. There was no apology, no sense of urgency, and regardless of whether they were able to locate the package, no one ever followed up with me the next day to let me know what they found or whether they even tried to resolve the issue. Because of this, I am now dealing with a poor seller rating, refunding my buyer, losing the shipping costs, and losing the merchandise itself. Mistakes can happen, but customer service matters when they do. A simple apology, some effort to investigate, and an update would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left feeling like the loss of my package simply did not matter to them. I would not trust this location with an important.. or any shipment again.
