This is the French Onion Soup. It was incredible and I can't wait to go back for more!

Food was very good. French Onion Soup was the best I've ever had. Ambience was incredible, wonderful day to eat on the back deck. Service was very good and very personable.

    La Paysanne crepe - delicious!

I came with my family and thankfully they had enough space to seat the 7 of us. The space is smaller, but they graciously combined tables together in the back room to accommodate our party. I ordered the La Paysanne crepe, which had eggs, Swiss cheese, turkey bacon, leeks, tomatoes, and cream. It was delicious! The crepe itself had a nice crispy exterior but was soft to the bite. The filling was very complementary, and I think all the ingredients went really well together. I was skeptical of the turkey bacon, but it was actually good. The size of the crepe was also very generous and I was very full afterwards. The dish came with a side salad which was a nice addition. Our service was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the food came out in a fairly prompt fashion, given the size of our group. The space was small and quaint but clean. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would recommend trying their crepes. I can't speak for the tamales or empanadas, but the crepe I had was delicious!

Picked this quant place for the crepes. Incredible!! Quaint. The French onion soup is worth the stop alone. It's like being in a little French chalet bistro. They had heaters on the enclosed back porch room for us. We got toasty! It started snowing outside which made it even more romantic! The Nutella crepe at the end was perfect. They use traditional French whole grain batter -- I didn't know that was a thing! My chicken crepe could've used a little more flavor -- but I'm not a Parisienne expert. I will 100% return. I didn't like being told they were closed. We did feel rushed. They had JUST closed. But it had started to snow. I'll know if this is a problem when I return. (Note the hours -- they close early.) I also wish my bill was about $5 cheaper. But food really is pricey right now.

Cutest little cafe in Black Mountain with a mix of French & Latin/Mex cuisine. Crepes of all types, savory & sweet. And at 3 types of mimosas at Sunday brunch. I had the eggplant tamale & mushroom empanada both vegan. The sauce that came with it was excellent. My Bellini was tasty. We were a party of 8 & had excellent service. We were out on their cute patio & a thunderstorm popped up & they accommodated us inside. The sausage lentil soup & French onion soup were delish & everyone enjoyed this place.

What a perfect brunch!! Stopped in fo4 brunch with my college friends. It took us forever to order because everything sounded so delicious. We each ordered something different. Everything we ordered was so scrumptious. I had the beef stroganoff crepe...amazing! We also ordered dessert crepes which were also so yummy. The waitstaff was kind and very efficient. It was a fantastic meal. A block off the main streets of Black Mountain and set up in a little house. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

Came across this restaurant when searching for unique dinner spots in the Asheville area. It's a very small house turned restaurant and serves crepes, empanadas and tamales. The staff was very sweet as only two ladies were serving people. We were the first ones in the restaurant but it picked up pretty quickly and could tell there were some regulars who came often as they knew the staff. We skipped appetizers and went straight to our entrees. I went with the La Normandie crepe which was filled with caramelized onions, leeks, brie, Swiss and cream. I also had one pork tamale because I can't resist a good tamale. It was delicious and plenty of a helping. My two friends had the empanadas and said they were nice and crispy. The meals were served with a dressed salad that had the best balsamic dressing! We couldn't leave a crepe restaurant without having a dessert crepe. We went with a nutella and seasonal fruit crepe. It was so sweet and the perfect way to end dinner. Overall it was a very cute restaurant with character and the food was satisfying. The dessert crepes were my favorite so even a good dessert stop along the way.

If you are looking for tasty crepes with a nice creme sauce stay away, this may be the new fashion of crepes but they were, frankly, awful

Delicious crepes and a very nice relaxing garden. They were able to make sweet crepes with the buckwheat crepes so they were gluten free.

I just love the partnerships that food trucks and breweries have established. Great for people like me who don't drink, but who are married/hang out with people who like to drink LOL. Gives me something to enjoy while they enjoy their draaaaanks. - Noms - I placed my order and they gave me a pager so that I could go back to our table inside while I waited. We ordered a variety of things to sample all the goodness! *Sàndwich "Gaucho" - my husband ordered this sandwich and I should have gotten it for myself too. This is on French bread, with tender piece of thin steaks, dressed with lettuce, tomato and their Chimichurri sauce and that sauce is money! This sandwich was my favorite out of all the things that we ordered and I'm not really a sando person. *Sàndwich de Milanesa con Lechuga y Tomate - I didn't want to order two of the same things, since I like to sample as many different things as I can. Also on French bread, there were thin breaded steaks (it must have been panko because it was nice and crispy), dressed with chimi-mayo, lettuce and tomato. The chimi-mayo mix did not have enough chimichurri to my personal taste so I took some of the Chimichurri sauce from the empanadas and spread it all over and that made the sando even better. So I suggest getting the extra chimichurri sauce. It's $0.50. *Papas Fritas Baires - No frozen fries here. French fries were fresh with generous amount of Chimichurri sauce and parm. Very flavorful! *Empanada de carne - very tasty! Tasted fresh and fried to order. *Flan casero con dulce de leche - The dulce de leche on top was rich and to die for! It was so, so good. My only feedback is that the flan part was a bit more on the eggy side, than the creamy side, if you know what I mean. Either way, I had no problems finishing it! -TLC- The lady who took care of us was super sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed and made any recommendations when asked. AVL is lucky to have Baires! I will be on the lookout for them again when we come back to AVL! Stay safe, Friends!

The interior is pretty no nonsense, but nice, with floor space dominated by moderate seating and large displays showcasing sweet offerings. I ordered the Lomito Argentino with fries, and she ordered the Milanese meal with Russian potato salad on the side The food was tasty, though a little salty for my preference. My date thought her Russian potato salad was a little dry and underseasoned. She added an order of café de Leche at the end of the meal and was extremely underwhelmed with the paper cup it was delivered to the table in. Plus, according to her, it wasn't hot. She felt if they had used a ceramic coffee cup they could've served it hotter. That said, she did leave with a box full of pastries to take home to her family. So in the grand scheme, she may be a lot happier now than she was right after our meal concluded. I would like to go back to try some of their pasta dishes. They sounded amazing.
