Wanted to try something different for lunch and was happy to see La Granja as I've had it once but at a location closer to home. Loved this location had a drive thru, sprained my ankle so this was a huge convenience. Once I got to the drive thru, I don't know if it was a language barrier thing but the girl at the window didn't have great customer service skills, she came off harsh and rude. I order my food and got to the window and she didn't smile, didn't reverify my order, just took my card and handed it back. I had to wait a few minutes before I even got my food. Chicken, rice and beans were good, the tostones were fried a little too hard/crispy and was kinda dry, no salt on them, no sauce.. I don't think I'll be eating at this location again.

Homemade chicken soup, tons of flavor.

Once again, an outstanding meal. The wife had the chicken soup and she got her moneys worth. Full of flavor and lots of chicken, carrots and potatoes. I opted for the chicken tenders. Whole breast chicken, full of flavor and nice hot fries. We have tried about 7 different dishes and are always please with the food.

I'm a La Granja fan and I had no idea this location was in West Boca. It's much smaller than the other locations with a few indoor and outdoor tables. I usually order take-out, so being this small is just fine with me. I walked in last night, it was crowded with people waiting for take-out. I ordered food for Take-out. Service was fast, but they got my order wrong and ended up plating it to eat in. They were nice and ended up packing it up. The sauce bar is on point and flavorful with a nice variety. I usually love the flavor of the Rotisserie Chicken, but tonight it was just OK. The dinner came with rice and beans and the rice was over-cooked and the beans were way too watery. Not one of my better La Granja meals. It's a chain, so I'll stick with one of the other locations

I have gone to their locations by the mall, but I have never been to this location which is very conveniently located in the corner of a big Home Depot plaza near me. Their food never disappoints. The gumbo which I thought was a little overpriced(almost $18 on DoorDash) was worth it as it had so much seafood in it and is so flavorful. And their seasoned rice and beans are good as usual.

All right all right it's time to upgrade my last review thanks to Kev's insistence and persistence in ordering take out from this joint. I was a tad hesitant after my initial encounter but this time I decided to go with the Chautauqua and the Chicken Saltado. Much to my very present surprise the food was very tasty and the quantity was generous. Since then we have been ordering from La Granja several times and I must say the meals have been very good. My only suggestion is that when placing an order in person sometimes it is a bit hard to communicate what we want. Fellow Yelpers do give this place a try!

The boneless chicken breast size was much smaller than what I've had in the past and also the price went up a little bit. On top of that some of the flavor just wasn't there. I usually go to the ones a little bit more south and for whatever reason the flavor is like exploding at those places and over here it was just OK. Maybe it was missing a little salt or maybe even MSG, I don't care if you put either in my food as long as it has that same taste because I came here for the taste and of course the same quantity. I can live paying a little bit more than I did before but you can't change the size of the boneless breast. At the end of the day this is what yelp is about, we have to keep businesses honest and nobody can explain away reality and the reality is customers have enough intelligence to tell whether the size of items on their plate is the same, somewhat the same or completely different than what it was in the past.

I've always been a fan of La Granja. This spot is a great addition to West Boca. It's much smaller than the other locations with outdoor seating and a drive-thru. I always order take-out so this is fine with me. Their sauce bar is on point and flavorful with a wide variety mixed with onions and cucumbers. I ordered the Pescado a lo Macho which is a whole fish topped with mussels, scallops, shrimp and calamari. It came with rice and I added a side of black beans! Yummm, keep this same quality!

When we arrived, our server never introduced herself. Instead, she immediately asked how we would be paying and whether we were ready to order. We didn't even get her name throughout the entire meal. Her demeanor made us feel like she was bothered to be serving us, and the overall service felt very rushed and inattentive. I specifically chose this location because I had previously visited the Embarcadero location in Pembroke Pines. Although that location was smaller, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and our server was extremely attentive, which made the experience so enjoyable. The food here was delicious, and I have no complaints about the quality of the food itself. Unfortunately, the poor service really took away from what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration because the food deserves better service.

Our family tried a variety of dishes, starting with the Jalea, a fried seafood platter. While the portion was smaller than what you typically find at other Peruvian restaurants, the seafood was fresh. I just wish there had been more calamari, fish, shrimp, and fried yucca. We also ordered the Chicken (Pollo) Chaufa and the Seafood Chaufa. Both dishes came in small portions, and the seafood was only placed on top of the rice. Sadly, they lacked the distinctive Chaufa flavor and tasted a bit bland. The Lomo Saltado beef was tender but similarly lacked seasoning, and the Ají Amarillo was just okay. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting. It seems the food might have been adjusted to cater to a more traditional or less adventurous palate. Peruvian cuisine is renowned for its rich flavors and Asian influences, and I believe it has the potential to be truly exceptional.

We arrived around 8:30 p.m. and were seated immediately. The hostess was incredibly sweet and attentive throughout our visit, especially since our server took our order and never returned to check on us again. We ordered the corvina ceviche, traditional wok with chicken, churrasco, and a side of plantains. The ceviche took approximately 20-25 minutes to arrive, and our entrees didn't come out until nearly 50 minutes after we ordered in which our steak was overcooked and definitely not medium. Meanwhile, the table next to us was seated after us and received their meals within about 15 minutes. By that point, it was already 9:30 p.m., and we were understandably frustrated, especially since our son doesn't eat ceviche and had been waiting the entire time for his meal. The manager came over, apologized, and explained that he wasn't sure what had happened with our order. We appreciated that he took the time to address the situation and offered us dessert. However, by then it was approaching 9:45 p.m., and we were ready to get the check and head home. The food was genuinely very good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. We're undecided about whether we'll return, but we hope this was simply an off night because the kitchen clearly has a lot of potential.

There is no real decor to comment on but the wood tables and comfy chairs with ever so slightly mismatched silverware gave the place a homey family feel. Super friendly staff plus their willingness to answer questions and help with special requests really solidified that charm and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately though, while the food and drinks were decent, I was constantly saying this is 'almost' really good. Chicharones were fatty and cooked perfectly but not seasoned, steak was flavorful and cooked nicely but not tender, the egg on top of the steak was overcooked so there was only one tiny spot of jammy yolky goodness, ceviche ingredients were tender and succulent but the sauce tasted like thousand island dressing, etc...

Instead of simply seating us as paying customers, the manager repeatedly argued that because my first order was "to go," we could not sit down. I explained several times that we were ordering more food, dining in, and tipping for the service, but she continued arguing and became rude and unprofessional. When I told her I was upset with how we were being treated, she actually responded that she was upset too. That is not how a manager should speak to a customer who is trying to resolve a simple situation. What bothered me even more was the way she repeatedly spoke/yelled at my young son for touching the decorations. The entire interaction made my family feel unwelcome, singled out, and honestly felt discriminatory. A manager should know how to communicate respectfully, solve a simple customer-service issue, and make families feel welcome--not argue with customers and escalate the situation. Management/ownership should seriously review how this manager treats customers because this experience made us not want to return.
