These latin-influenced chicken, steak and seafood chain are located everywhere but this La Granja functions on a weirdly elite level. My family called the restaurant for a pick up and ordered several half chickens and one grilled pork with the friendly staff. Both entrees came with rice, black beans, sweet plantains and a soda for $14.00 - good deal I thought. Twenty minutes later, we drove to the restaurant to get my food and make payment. The floors were clean and the kitchen was spotless. We met with the friendly three counter employees and went over each item then paid. Everything was prepared well and in order. We loaded up on three different sauces and used the self serve soda machine. Im watching the rotisserie slow cook five chickens on a giant stainless steel skewer - drool was dripping down my mouth and couldnt wait to get home. So I get to my place and excitedly unwrap my food. The portions were large and they provide a substantial amount of rice and beans (unlike Pollo Tropical). Unfortunately, my kids grilled pork was tough but my 1/2 chicken was super plump and juicy. I mixed up the beans and rice and gently poured the green hot sauce onto the pile - omg it was so tasty. The plantains were sweet and tender - I devoured six. Very good customer service and the food was ready in a timely manner. Definately recommend this La Granja Boca Raton location. read more

I've moved on from Publix Rotisserie Chicken and I'm now I'm a La Granja chicken fan.... I was first introduced to La Granja down in Miami-Dade County and then bragged to my son about how good it was only to learn that we have La Granja in Boca (insert smirk). My wife and I finally come here a few years ago... it doesn't have that super clean appearance but it is clean overall. We ordered 1/2 CHICKEN MEALS (the lunch special that you can get any hour).... to clarify that I remember what we ordered many years ago, is I have not ordered anything other than this dish over the years (I know what I like). You better come with an appetite, because this meal deal is big.... comes with a soda (help yourself fountain drink refills), 1/2 chicken (DELICIOUS), a hearty serving of rice, a cup of black beans and sweet plantains. Like I said, it's a lot of food. And if you're like me, you'll love the assortment of sauces.... a lot of options that are in squeeze bottles: * Green (mild "Garlic sauce") * White ("Vinaigrette dressing") * Light Orange ("Golf dressing/sauce") * Orange (hot "Spicy sauce") * Dark Orange (EXTRA HOT "Habernero sauce") And if that weren't enough options, they have a chilled onion bar: * Spicy Picante * Spicy Jalapeño * Mild Garlic * Mild Regular MY ONLY GRIPE.... I was in the mood for chicken and decided to take a twist on my normal Go to, Pollo tropical. I like my food hot and I specifically asked the lady for two orders of hot chicken, the chicken was cold. We had sides of black beans and rice that was satisfactory in an order of flan. I didn't like the flan, but my girlfriend enjoyed it. Located in the shopping center behind Town Center Mall and directly across from Maggianos, there's usually parking right in front or on the side. Nice selection of Peruvian food and it's packed at lunch time, so I highly suggest ordering online or calling in your order to pick up or eat inside. Good food - fair prices. Always get the chicken special, 1/4 chicken with rice and black beans. Chickens moist and grilled with nice flavor, Black beans and rice are one of the best. I was so excited to eat at La Granja during my vacation to Florida. Unfortunately our experience wasn't what we expected. We've eaten at La Granja in Margate, Florida on various occasions and has always been a wonderful experience. We went to La Granja Town center and unfortunately the experience was not pleasant. The chicken and plantain were not fresh. The rice was tasteless and the vegetables were not seasoned. Next time we'll drive to the Margate location. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! read more

This Latin restaurant has a lot of options to choose from. This location has outdoor seating as well as indoor. I had the fried snapper with tostones. The snapper was big I even saved some for later, it could of used a little more flavor but they had a variety of sauces to choose from so I put a little bit on my the fish it even tasted good on the tostones. Another day I had the 1/4 chicken with the garlic potatoes, the garlic potatoes were good but the chicken was tender but needed some more flavor. I went to the new LaGranja that open West Boca. Now for 15 yrs I've been going to the one at town center and they are always consistent and nice. The food here tasted like nothing. They advertised a special and the manager said nope no special even though on line it was $3.00 cheaper. He couldn't of been any ruder.. maybe he should of trained longer in customer service including the service or waited another 6 months to open. Going in today, there was a small amount of seating outside and plenty of seating inside! For dinner, we got the whole chicken dinner with rice & black beans, sweet plantains, and a side salad. Going forward with this evenings review, the food today was very tasty! The chicken for starters was succulent and not dried out, rice soft and black beans soft/creamy, and Sweet Plantains were browned but not burnt! Of course the best part of La Granja is the sauces. I saw a new harbarnero sauce which was really good, but very spicy. Moreover, the other sauces were tasty too - like the white and green sauce too (they have available the same sauces on the table with onions too)! Although, the food for the most part was good, I didn't really find the salad super fresh as tomatoes had a slight after taste (minus points here). This was a really yummy spot! We stopped here for a quick dinner before running a bunch of errands and it was perfect for that reason. If you are looking for something quick but don't want fast food this is good option for you. The chicken was fresh and the rice was very plentiful. I don't like beans so I got 2 orders of rice. Pair it with some garlic sauce that they put out on the table and you have an easy, quick, affordable, and delicious meal. I would definitely come back! I went during lunch and waited on a 20 minute line. While waiting they took what must've been "regulars" and made their meal of choice before the people waiting in line. I waited in total on line and for my food about 45 minutes, all the while watching "regulars" come and go rather quickly. I tried it for the first time Saturday afternoon and I wasn't so impressed. We got 2 orders of garlic fish to go which came with 2 sides. I got rice and black beans as a side. It's hard to describe the fish but it was kind of rough, with not that much "meat" in it, even though it was a decent size. There was a lot of skin on it. It also was totally smothered in the garlic sauce, which was very yummy, but it was really swimming in it. The black beans and rice were fine, the usual for this dish. I was also surprised that my total bill including tax came to $27.29 which is pretty high for a fast food place. There are two reasons most people go to a fast food place, to get something quick and inexpensive. I waited quite a while for my order to get ready, and I paid a restaurant price. I love La Granja in general. La Granja is, in my opinion, a step up from Pollo Tropical. Feels more authentic. Even though it's a chain, you can feel the homey, familial feel when you're there. We used to go to another all the time, and now this one is much closer to our house. I will say the service at this store could be improved compared to others. They've done a good job with COVID protections, however now they're limiting the amount of sauce you can request. This is unfortunate, because that's the reason we come here! I ordered a whole chicken and was told I could only get 4 white sauces, but could request any more of any other sauce, instead of only 6 white sauces. I would avoid this restaurant especially if you are not well versed in Spanish. The photos on the menu have no resemblance to what they serve especially the chicken 1/4 meal and the chicken 1/2 meal. You will just get bones. When I go there with my Latin friends the food and the service are acceptable, but if you are a gringo, avoid the place. I think they leave the worse parts of the chicken for the people who don't usually complain in Spanish, a language the staff can understand. I've been to a couple of these around soflo, so this isn't specific to this location for the most part. La granja is one of the 2 local chains for Latin/Caribbean food. The other is la brasa. The ordering is simple- look at the pictures, point and order. The items are simple staples that will provide an adequate enough food coma for the working mans lunch break. Chicken/steak/pork with rice/beans/onions/plantains. The entire menu is really just a mix and match of these things. Service is always counter ordering with your number being called out. It's typically pretty fast, and the price point is always palatable. The best part here is the sauce bar. There's yellow/orange , white, and green. And then the options but with onions mixed in. Very similar to the Halal guys white sauce. TBH I can't tell the difference except one of them spicy. Typically..... I order the pork, mix it over the yellow rice and beans, and then go jackson Pollock all over it with all the sauces. It ends up being this mayo-ish deliciousness that becomes more of a homework assignment than a meal. Now, just in my experience, these are usually just a little sloppier than La Brasa. Visiting from out of town and my uncle took us here. Our family owned a BBQ place while I was growing up, so I know my chicken and this chicken is legit. Super moist and flavorful. The plantanos maduros were also very good. Their fried fish is also very lightly fried and flavorful and served with yuca fries and a nice tartar sauce. It's been years since I had been to La Granja but was pleasantly surprised how clean it was, and how fast their service was. For less than $10 I had a full meal (chicken, rice and beans, and plantains) including soda. Enough for two - great, because now I had next day's lunch. These are wonderful quick Peruvian eateries that have fantastic roasted chicken, delicious fish dishes, tamales with a peru-pointed flair, and dozens of other great steak, seafood, and chicken choices all at more than reasonable prices. In the fast-food category, no one touches them for food quality, preparation, and price. The service is excellent as well. You order in line, but the food is brought to you, and it's bussed by very efficient guys when you're done (so do leave a little tip for them.). In tony Town Center, it's the hidden gem outside of the big mall in the parking lot oasis by Maggiano's Little Italy. It gets really busy sometimes at lunch, because working folks from offices and jobs around the area love coming here for good food, the clean digs and the service. Tried this place for dinner after reading reviews. I was deciding between chicken and pork. After asking, the cashier said pork was better. The pork special #5 had rice, beans, plantains and a soda for under 10. Lots of food. Meat had good flavor but was not the most tender cut, though the 2 slices were plentiful and likely pounded to tenderize. I may need to return to try the chicken. I've been looking for an awesome pollo a la brasa after leaving DC and our favorite (Peruvian) El Pollo Rico with wood burning rotisserie. First, there was giant fly/moth in between the salad tongs. And to make matters worse, even though I was video taping it and verbalizing how gross it was they continued to use the tongs and serve salad items to the customers in front of me (without even removing the fly!) I gave them the benefit of doubt because I was excited for the food and 5 star fast food cleanliness is unreal. While waiting for the food, there was a roach climbing over the table I was standing by in the entrance walkway!
