While waiting for some repairs, we stopped here for lunch as it was nearby. It was not very busy which was good as we were hungry. It's casual. No fancy dining here. There are tables and booths. You order at the counter. The menu is on the wall. You pay there, too. They bring your food to you on a tray. They give you paper plates and plastic ware. We shared a half chicken -- all white. We got yellow rice and black beans and plantains as our sides. The chicken was cooked through. The pieces (breast-wing combo) didn't look very large but they had more than enough meat on them. The yellow rice was tender. The black beans rather bland. The plantains were sweet, but I liked them cooked a bit more. My husband got pico de gallo as his sauce -- which was basically onions with cilantro. I got their cilantro sauce which tasted like cilantro mixed with mayonnaise. Drinks are self serve from the machine at the back of the restaurant. Not bad for a fast food lunch...

La Brasa Grill is a fast casual place that offers a menu of Peruvian dishes and are best known for their chicken dishes. I have been to this location several times in the past and have always enjoyed it and since I was in Boynton Beach on business, I thought this would be a great place for lunch and to get reacquainted with a place that I recall as a great place for a meal. I had mentioned that this is a "fast casual" place. If you are unfamiliar with the term, it is just a new buzz word to describe what we would have called a fast food place (though in their defense, this place is a lot cleaner than I remember fast food places in the wild days of my youth). Since I am trying to eat a bit healthier, I went with their boneless chicken with a Caesar salad and garlic potatoes for my sides. The ordering procedure is that you place your order at the counter and they give you a number and eventually will bring you your food. My food was brought out in a relatively quick amount of time and I have to say that it was pretty spectacular. As I said, I am trying to do a bit more healthier, and the boneless chicken breast was pretty good. My normal order at either this establishment or any of the other fast casual Peruvian restaurants is usually they're half chicken with rice and beans. The last time I had the half chicken here, it was amazing. Also, do not miss out on their homemade sauces. On this trip, I had the spicy garlic and the cilantro garlic and both were amazing. I would definitely recommend this establishment and I give it five stars for a stellar experience.

I love their chicken but their take out service is horrible. Once again I tried to order from them via Uber Eats and I keep getting something wrong with order. Today I order 2-1/2 chickens with white meat with 3 garlic parsley , and all white meat and did not get again This happens every frigging time when I ordered from west palm and I move to Boynton beach and they do the same thing

I got the fried seafood jalea. It comes with some cerviche-type sauce and tartar sauce. It's a bunch of fried seafood on top of yucca fries. Some tomatoes and lime/lemon for squeezing. I hadn't seen this dish at a Peruvian restaurant before. It was good for as basic as it is. I'd recommend it if you're in the mood for fried seafood and didn't want to go to a regular seafood joint.

Second la brasa I go to and once again , it knocks it out the park . Literally the best drive through food for Spanish dishes . Totally bomb food ; great prices , and awesome sauces to go with it . The spicy sauce has got great heat , and great flavor that goes well with the dishes . Totally recommend this spot and really any la brasa

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. Both of us enjoyed them, though they fell slightly short of the great ones we typically get at our favorite Boston spots... still very good. The sides were excellent. Our guest ordered the Eggplant Parm and said it was excellent. Dinners come with Soup or House Salad. I upgraded to a Caesar (+$3)... basic, but very good, with a dressing I really liked. Also tasted the Fish Chowder, which was very good as well. Bread was good. A wet nap was provided. Better Than Ever -- and I Didn't Think That Was Possible…read more I'll be honest -- when I heard J&J Seafood Bar and Grill on Atlantic Avenue had changed hands, my heart sank a little. I was a devoted fan under the previous owners and couldn't imagine it getting better. I was so, so wrong. The new owners haven't just maintained what made this place special -- they've elevated it into something truly remarkable. The moment you walk in, you feel it. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and alive in a way that makes you want to linger. They've created a space that feels like a genuine gathering place, and that's a rare thing to find. Now, the food. I ordered the mixed seafood grill, and it was simply spectacular -- fresh, beautifully prepared, and cooked with real care. Each bite reminded me why seafood on the coast should taste like this. And just when I thought the meal couldn't get any better, the turtle cheesecake arrived for dessert. Absolutely divine. Rich, indulgent, and the perfect finish to an already perfect meal. And then there's Chelsea. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely delightful -- the kind of person who makes you feel like a regular from the moment you sit down. She perfectly embodies the spirit the new owners have created here. To my fellow South Florida neighbors -- whether you're in Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, or Deerfield Beach -- do yourself a favor and get in here now while the off-season means you can actually snag a table. This gem on Atlantic Avenue is the real deal, and once word fully gets out, you're going to wish you hadn't waited. J&J, you've made a lifelong regular out of me all over again.

On the whole he did a good job but there were mixed reviews from the group. Let's start with the location....it was a bit hard to find because the building is located behind a Publix shopping plaza. There are a few parking lots around. It's hard to know which door is the entrance. It turns out it's the Red door. It's a small stand alone venue. Very coastal - remember it's basically a fish place. There is a bar that you can eat at or at tables and chairs along the perimeter. This is a fun casual place. Expect to wear a bib and have paper tablecloths. Get your anger out on the shellfish as you hammer the shells off and use your hands in many cases to pull out the fish. All equipment is provided to get the job done. You ARE working for your dinner. One of the neighbors does not eat fish so she was able to get a grilled chicken. Unfortunately, it came out too spicy and she couldn't eat it. Waylon didn't come out to check on us to see if everything went according to expectations. However, to make it up to her, he took it off her check. One of us ordered a beautiful piece of salmon and sides. That was impressive and delicious. I had the PACIFIC CLAMBAKE.. Dungeness Crab, Snow Crab, Shrimp, Corn & Potatoes Admirals. It was a very generous portion. My husband started with French Onion soup and a crab cake. That was a "WOW". All crab - no filler and so delicious. I'll come back to eat that next time. Also I saw a couple of girls eating sushi at the bar and they said it was amazing. It's served on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I would also be very interested in that. None of us had room for dessert. The prices were very fair also. This was a nice change of pace to eat at Riggins. It wasn't overwhelmingly crowded at this time but I know it's crazy on the weekends even for lunch. You should call to make a reservation. And leave your phones home because there's no room for them on the table, and you'll be too busy working to eat your food. lol
