Love it! Been here 3 times this past week. We try nachos, tostielote, tosti locos, agua de covihorchata, pepino y chia, limon y fresa, cóctel de camaron (michelada) hot digs con bacon everything was delicious!!! Service was good. Place has 1 table and some high booth kind of tight.

    Salad

Went for what I thought would be a delicious salad but half way through it found a disgusting dead bug in my salad. Sent the restaurant a message about it and haven't heard a thing. This isn't the first time I've heard people getting sick from here or people having bugs in their salad. I should've known! Kinda had a bad feeling about it before even eating but just wanted to give it a try! If this bug was in the salad and dead it means everything else was contaminated and they fed it to other people. Who knows what else had bugs in it too!

Half of a chicken wrap to go. They were kind enough to wrap them separately.

Came for raspado but stayed for the chicken wrap. Really surprised by this place, nice decor, and really clean. This would be a great place to franchise out. Nice local cafe feel at this establishment. The raspados, whichever combination or flavors you get are pretty typical, with a big assortment of snacks, fruits, and ice cream. Here's what makes this place stand out: the chicken wrap. They have a small assortment of finger foods such as asada fries and nachos, along with salad bowls and plates but the wraps are the best. You have onions, lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, pasta, bell pepper, cheese, jalapeños and probably a few other options I've missed. It's all topped off with an avocado or chipotle sauce (yes you can mix them!) wrapped in a green tortilla. Delightfully fresh and tasty. Pros: plenty of parking Cheap/affordable Clean Cons: menu isn't overly simplified in English. May be a tad daunting to order a combo raspado, but just ask, they're very friendly. Will be back!

Payed $2 for a tea that's not even filled all the way

If La Fresa charges $2 for a XL tea the least they can do is fill up the cup all the waymight as well go to the donut shop they charge $1.10 and they fill the cup all the way! Ridiculous Also common sense when a customer orders more than one drink they're going to need a cup holder!

It used to be called cuchis but now it's called la Fresa. The teas here and botona are definitely a must try!

Great mexican food as well as raspados. Best in town. I recommed the chicken salads and the wraps.

So very Middle Western!!! The only other old school Foster's that I know of is in Old Town Torrance, California, and it's in worse shape. Too tempting to pass up even at 10:30am. I went up to the window manned by a friendly, informative, young man who said he lived in Westmorland and never tasted a date shake although he pointed out that Foster's did have date shakes a long time ago.  We got Into a conversation when I mentioned to him that this was an original Foster's Freeze. "Yeah, they celebrated its 70th anniversary a few years ago."    I got a chocolate soft serve ice cream cone which was as good as it was 60 years ago in homage to this iconic structure. Took photos and left.   City of Brawley, please give this Foster's Freeze historical status to encourage preservation as you are for the Brawley Theatre nearby.
