On a roadtrip through the small agricultural town of Brawley, and had my morning victuals in this bustling local donut emporium. Froufrou foodie artsy-fartsy donut shops open at 8 am. REAL workers' donut shops open at 5 or at least 6 am. THESE guys open at FOUR AM! Ha! That tells you something. Mexican pastries and bagels, too. Indoor seating. Had a chocolate bar, and a still-warm cake donut with chocolate and peanuts.. Watched the locals come and go. PS The little town of Brawley has 4 donut shops! read more

All but one employee are rude and lazy. I get here around 4:00-4:30am mind you it's empty. I ask for a # 3 egg, bacon, ham, and cheese and they say oh no only have ham and cheese croissants because it takes up to much time. The place is empty except for the same 2 older men there daily. The reason I HAVE to stop here is because I need to charge my car 25ft away and Mc Donald's doesn't open til 5am. Staff need to do better. read more

Visited 2/13/2024 Excellent selection of Donuts. Always fresh and each day they have $5.00 boxes of day old donuts. Also excellent selection of day olds. There are several Donuts Shops in Brawley but this is the best shop in town. We'll worth a visit. read more

Whenever we go to the valley, this is a sure stop because of their iced tea. Even if it's mostly ice, I'd still give it 5- stars just because of how refreshing it is on a 118F weather. They also have breakfast sandwiches for the whole day which is a plus, donut plus! Service is quick, staff are efficient and there's ample parking. read more

Awesome donut and sandwich shop! They are open 24 hrs on Friday and Saturday, and open at 4 am other days. We needed an early breakfast, so this hit the spot. I was able to get decaf coffee and a hot ham and cheese croissant. We were intrigued by the Mexican pastries and got a pineapple turnover and a bar that I forget the name of. The Mexican pastries were not as sweet as a donut, with a texture between pie crust and a sugar cookie. The donut holes from yeast donuts were heavenly. In 2018 I passed through Brawley during a trip between my hometown Oakland to Grand Canyon and back around via the imperial valley to Oak. In my 33 years on this earth and travels to other countries I must admit, THIS LITTLE DONUT SHOP HAS THE BEST STUFFED CROISSANT IN THE WORLD! I took my first bite in the parking lot and was blown away. It was so good I had to go back inside and get two more to go! Both standard and jalapeño ones are incredible. I recently made a trip to Joshua tree and we made an effort o have a reason to get near Brawley too. I had to have those croissants again. They did not disappoint. Also the massive cups are great for road trips. This recipe needs to be passed down to the next generation. read more

Best donuts in Brawley... And I think I've tried them all. The maple glazed old-fashioned was tasty, like so good, I'm getting a lady boner talking about it. However, freshness is still lacking here, as the other places in town. It seems that they're baked hours before and just sit on the shelf... For some reason I feel that at 5am I should be eating some freshly fried dough, hot off the fryer. Service is good. Nothing spectacular. Sweet tea is the drink of choice... When you live in Cattle Call Home of the Wildcats town of Brawley what is there for kids to do? Few things: 1. Drive your shitty hand-me down truck near the haystacks and drink some strawberry flavored Boones with your pals. 2. Go to some shitty house party/gig where every loser you went to school with plays in a band. 3. Make it a half hour road trip to Mexicali in the good ol Baja and get drunk for less than 10 bucks at some club full of pop-collared pimply-faced 18-year olds, all the athletes and their respective cheerleader girlfriends losing their dignity in cages. OR You can hit up the Donut Shop! Not to be confused with "Tasty Donuts" this is THE Donut Shop that is open 24 hrs and won't mind you hanging out with your friends there as you sip on your iced tea. Beware, you are bound to run into almost half of the student population in your old school! Awwwww come on you guys,, this place isn't 4 or 5 stars. Their are two Donut shops along Main St. in Brawley. Donuts plus and Tastee. What sets them apart is Tastee is open 24 hours and only has parking for 3 vehicles. Donuts Plus has bakery hours, and unlimited parking. Donuts Plus has your typical chain tasting donut but they use a thicker glaze or frosting,, that's all. No BFD. I'd wager Donuts plus is more popular because of location, and ease of parking, and they run three serving lines. Other than that, ain't nothing special here kids. read more

It took me awhile to figure out this "Donuts Plus" because I, and everyone else from the valley, know this place simply as THE DONUT SHOP or, if you're one of those who likes to shorten things, THE D SHOP. Not just for donuts people! They have a full range of tortas, cookies, desserts, and drinks...the best being the SWEET TEA. Yea, sweet tea like you get down south. Make no mistake, it will destroy your teeth, stomach, and metabolism, but it is the best in the world. The best part? A cup so huge you can barely fit it in your cup-holder is $1.25. It's hard for me to rate a donut shop on a high scale, especially since I'm pretty much a "stickler" with my stars. But I give the place 3 stars. It stays semi-clean for a donut shop that's beaten to shreads on a daily basis by large crowds of high school kids who blast their music in the parking lot and eat massive amounts of sugar to make up for the fact that most high school kids in the area have nothing better to do on a weekend night. This place sits right on that fine line of disgusting, but not so disgusting that you don't want a tea. Considering there is not much to choose from, and there sure as hell isn't a lot open after hours in Brawley, this place has good donuts (when they are fresh), and some good torta's (when they have some made), and some good tea. It works for those of us who work odd hours and need a bit of a pick me up at a random time. To me, it's nothing out of the ordinary, and it doesn't offer anything much different that other places. The customer service is ok, but it's better if you were a uniform. This place is a groupie haven for badge bunnies and law enforcement. If you grew up in Brawley, it makes sense why it's the greatest thing ever. But if you've experienced a bit more of the world outside the comfortable borders of "Wildcat Country"...this place might just sit in the ok realm, as it did with me. read more

"Donut Plus?" Ive lived in the valley for several years and never knew the real name of the "Donut Shop." And to be honest maybe changing the name eventually would not only make several locals happy but would possible add a bit character. Locals will and always call it the donut shop and I'm sure the only people the know the real name of the store would be the owners...but with that said maybe a proper review is in order. The donut shop has been around for years. Excellent customer service, awesome donuts, and a variety of tortas. If your just passing thur or actually a type of person who like to blend in with the locals and enjoy what the locals enjoy. Order a ice tea! Brewed possibly every ten minutes or maybe produced by the gallons ( which I know it is) has a refreshing taste. The service here is always friendly, the donuts always fresh and the best. Great iced tea (sweet, half & half, or unsweetened). Donuts are usually good, even better when they're fresh. My kid loves the donut holes. Pretty cheap. Only downside are the sometimes long lines that go out the door and the people that hang around asking for money. read more
