We stopped into 1905 for breakfast and had a great experience. The ambiance immediately stands out with art deco touches, warm lighting, and a relaxed but upscale vibe. It's located inside a hotel, but it doesn't feel generic. The valley has been needing a spot like this! There's plenty of seating options: bar seating, high tops, low tops, and booths, so it works whether you're popping in for a quick bite like we were or settling in with a group for a longer meal. A gem in Imperial! I went here because my group was staying at the Cambria Hotel and a local highly recommended this restaurant to us. We got seated right away thanks to our reservation and the place wasn't too loud; it was just right to be lively, but also carry on a conversation with your group. We ordered the Anza Burrata (Burrata cheese, Coachella Valley roasted grapes, hot honey, pistachio, side of warm sourdough boulé); the Caesar Salad (Baby Gem Lettuce, Parmigiano-Reggiano, House Croutons, Garlic Dressing, Seed Mix); and Braised Short Rib (BRANDT beef, potato puree, grilled broccolini, sweet garlic). Everything was great! The burrata was incredible and the bread had a lovely combo of flavors. The short rib was fall off the bone tender and delicious. And the salad was flavorful, too. Nice new spot has made its way to the valley, well newish to me since I don't live there anymore. It's soo good, I went back for the second time on my last trip to down and it definitely did not disappoint. First time I came for brunch, this time I pulled up with a group for more of a lunch/dinner vibe. We got lucky and caught happy hour, which had some solid food and drink deals. Half of us went with Palomas, the other half margaritas, and because we were starving had to start with the recommended burrata app. Let me just say now... the bread that comes with that burrata is stupid good. Around the table we had wings, a smash burger, regular burger, and the crispy spicy chicken. And for someone who is very picky about chicken, I can confidently say I'd order that again without hesitation. Whether you're in the mood for brunch, happy hour, or dinner, you really can't go wrong here. We've been here several times and the food has always been pretty good. The service is nice, the restaurant is very clean, and the prices are reasonable. Our firstbreakfast I had the yogurt parfait and it was amazing I was very impressed! She had the omelet which was very flavorful because of the peppers. Our first dinner I had the burger which was juicy, cooked med. rare and delicious! She had the veggie pasta which was delicious but a small portion. I've always been happy with 1905! Such an amazing place in this area. There aren't many elegant, but simple, places to have a quick outing. Whether you're going with family, friends, business or a date, 1905 Bar & Grill will shit each occasion perfectly. We enjoyed the entrance, just past the lobby. If you're looking to grab a quick drink, the bar is an elegant place to sit too. You really don't feel like you're in the valley. In addition, they have outdoor seating with heaters (weather permitting). Once inside, the hostess will get you seated right away. We didn't have a reservation but it is recommended. I ordered their mimosa flight. Each one mixed well and offered great flavor (not too sweet). The menu items were good too. A very simple menu that is well priced. Everything I had was cooked perfectly and wasn't very tasty. I highly recommend this place for your next outing. read more

On 03/13/26 I had the opportunity to experience 1905 with 7 of my family members and it was extremely enjoyable and rewarding. It was a sad moment prior at the cemetery but Daya, Bryan and the staff really made our experience memorable. Daya provided superior customer service and top notch attention. Bryan asked what we were celebrating and I mentioned my mom's birthday in heaven and my aunts birthday who was with us. Bryan ensured both birthdays were honored. Dearly beloved we were gathered at the 1905 B&G and we experienced the birth of a unique experience! I had nearly given up on finding a decent restaurant in the IV let alone a great one! I had heard through the grapevine that the former ghost hotel had come to life as the Cambria Hotel and within its walls was a happening restaurant. We entered the hotel at about 8 pm on a Thursday and it looked and sounded like a Friday night without football lights! Even though the place was packed our wait was a lot shorter than the wait to cross the border. We were seated and were professionally greeted by our waitress and quickly took our drink order. As a former Carrot Capitol resident I had my eye on the Humble Framer Brewing Company Carrot Ale and it did not disappoint. I was dazzled by the mesmerizing amber color and the savory carrotish flava! The food parade had started and our table turned into the Mayor's float. We waved at our waitress and put in our order of intriguing appetizers. The fresh garlic bread, Peruvian Ceviche, Valle Agua Chili, and the Anza Burrata! My hopes were high even though we found ourselves 200 feet below sea level. Our appetizers arrived like the impending valley summer but this arrival was a God send, we had found the quadfecta in our four appetizer selection!! The garlic bread was warm and comforting, the Peruvian Ceviche made me want to move to Peru. Probably some of the best ceviche I've ever had, that Tiger's milk made me attack our next dish - the Valle Agua Chili. This Valle Agua Chili made me want to move back to the valley, it was fresh, and deep with flavors. So deep, I felt our float reach 500 feet below sea level! For our encore we dug into the Anza Burrata, an exotic looking dish that pushed our experience into Coachella territory. At this point of our dinner I was at a very satisfied state of mind. I only ordered an entree because I could, a Tomahawk pork chop (see photo). The Pork chop was beautiful, tasty and engaging! The only reason that I'm not giving this place 5 stars is simply because I'm going to have to float on back to 1905 B&G and try the rest of the menu. 1905 B&G is a must thing to experience in the Imperial Valley! I usually live their dinner, but was really disappointed in the brunch today. My mom's eggs Benedict were dry and had an overcooked piece of Canadian bacon on them. My pancakes were dry and rubbery. The backlon was cold and the cheese on my dad's burger was left out in the air for too long. The service was slow and the person waiting on us did nothing to mediate the food. It was gross. Would give 1 star but our waitress was kind and it wasn't her fault. Last month, my 7 year old nephew ordered a chocolate milk, but was served a chocolate milk martini. They gave alcohol to a 7 year old.... In response, we were given a few 10% off coupons. Came in today to celebrate my grandmothers birthday, coupons in hand, and yet again incredibly disappointed. We ordered 3 Pasta alla Puttanesca. One was missing cheese. The sauce is Ragu and portion is small. Way too overpriced for what would be $5 to make at home. Waitress reported homemade tortilla chips, yet they were clearly store bought. Other pastas that advertise beef are using ground beef. By the time the last person in our party received their food, two of us had finished. The dining area is very cramped, but the ambiance is nice. Our family will not be returning for $30 Hamburger Helper and a drunk 7 year old. What a shame. read more

Horrible service. Ignored, never refilled water , walked by looked at us multiple times and just walked by. Appetizer was cold, bread was frozen. Food was cold. Finally just took it all to go as we were not going to get a water refill or any service. Small place probably needs a staff of 4 and had about 8 working the floor. Manager got to go food didn't seem to care app was frozen. Worked as a waitress for 20 years, atleast say I will be right there , or I'm sorry I'm busy. 140$ bill for cold food. What a great addition to the community of Imperial, CA. I was there on business with a colleague and we stayed two days. The food was so good the first night, (filet mignon) that we decided to dine again the second night in the 1905 Bar & Grill inside the new Cambria Hotel. We held a dinner for our management employees at the new 1905 Bar & Grill. Our group was greeted by the friendly staff and a specially set table for 20. The vibe of the restaurant is unique and trendy. The menu features many Imperial Valley references and quality local ingredients. Our server, Preslie, was knowledgeable and attentive and anticipated our every need. Bar Manager Jazmin, helped everyone select delicious craft cocktails and beer. Overall, the entire staff joined in to make it a memorable evening. Our compliments to Chef Juan for delivering quality and inventive appetizers and entrees. Some favorites were the grazing plates, shrimp appetizers, Caesar salad, and Brandt Beef filets. For a finale, the staff presented the array of delicious desserts family style. For some of our group it was their first time at the restaurant, and we all agreed it will be a favorite for family and friends in the future. The 1905 Bar & Grill offers something for everyone, from single dining at the Bar to large parties like ours, and is a welcome addition to Imperial. read more
