My issue is the shrimp, we've ordered red aguachile, green aguachile, shrimp cucarachas, and shrimp tacos. Most of the shrimps have the vein (poop). Some have partial vein, completely visible, others are clean. This is disgusting, makes me question why they're not cleaned, and what else isn't properly cleaned? So excited that this place finally opened. I'm not sure why Puerto Nuevo closed I was really sad to see it go if they had the most excellent chavellas. But today they still have not transferred over their liquor license so no Chavellas. La Resaca upgraded the Decor made more room in the bar area. Today I tried the oysters, I not sure if it was just a bad batch. With those oysters you pretty much gamble anyway. We ordered also the costo azul which was nothing like the predecessor (puerto nuevo) The overall the experience was okay and the customer service was good. Came here to celebrate grandma's birthday. The service was horrible. It's one thing to be understaffed, it is another to take it out on the customer. Without exaggeration, it was well over an hour before we started getting our food and another hour between when we got the first dish to the last of our group to get his dish. The waitress had an attitude, never came to check on us, we had to request for water refills and she'd get annoyed when we followed up on our food or water. The food was ok. Walked in with my wife for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Greeted and seated. Orders were taken quickly. Drinks arrived followed by delicious chips and salsa. This establishment used to have great customer service, but sadly today when myself and a group of friends went to have lunch we were ignored. there where three waitresses in the front entrance not one acknowledged us so we proceeded to seat ourselves. Once seated we still did not receive acknowledgement after 10 mins of being there so we decided to leave, as we walked out the same 3 servers were still in the same spots and giggled as we left.
