Burnt bbur waiter took 30 minutes to bring my drinks. Terrible service asked for something and I got ignored.

Firstly, I know most of the stuff is microwaved but I still like their artichoke dip more than most places. It's got actual pieces of artichoke and gooey cheese. I want better chips to go with it but the ones they have are ok. Some sliced and warmed baguette would be awesome. read more

We won't be back. Our party of 6 arrived at the restaurant at 8pm on 10/6. When our server took our order, we asked if she was going to write anything g down. She shared with us that she doesn't write orders down and solely relies on her memory and that she was practicing even throughout her pregnancy. There were 6 of us so not documenting it electronically or on paper was a bit concerning, but hey, more power to her. She repeated our order twice to us. Some things we had to clarify again, but we went with it. Fail! 1. We had dishes missing. 2. We had an extra dish that didn't belong to us. 3. We waited over 20 minutes for the last of the missing dish to show up, but we had to ask twice for it. Our server finally brought it. She made no eye contact and just dropped it off with not even an apology for our orders being wrong and late. We paid the bill on the tablet, but the person who received the late meal didn't speak up until our waitress arrived, after we already paid the bill. We voiced our concerns about the late arrival of the meal, the incorrect orders, in addition to our guest not being satisfied with the quality of her meal. We didn't mention anything about having to wave other staff down when we needed something. The waitress said she might not be able to comp anything since we paid (and I was ok with that), but that she would talk to her Manager to see what they could do. For the record, I do not ever expect a comp when I share my concerns. My hope is to have the restaurant learn from the experience and provide guidance to staff. I do admit I also want to see what their quality of customer service is. Well, needless to say, we saw the waitress floating around afterwards, even walking by our table a couple of times. No eye contact or acknowledgement. I would expect she would at least update us that she spoke to het Manager and there's nothing they can do to comp anything since we already paid, but can I offer you a free dessert or something? Some kind of gesture would have helped de-escalate the situation. We would have passed on the dessert. Nothing. Honestly, we don't even know if she spoke to the Manager and if she did, that person never came around either. Being that my daughter works in a restaurant, we tried to give our server the benefit of the doubt and find an excuse, but there are no excuses for such bad service. The place was empty. It was our first time there and we went with the "familiar chain" when choosing a place. Bad on me for not looking at Yelp to see this restaurant only had 2 stars. Props to the young man working who did tend to our needs throughout our meal. He checked on our drinks, brought our food, went to follow up on the missing meals and kindly came over every time we waved him over when we needed something. My hope for our server is that she learns for a big party, to use the tablet. It's impressive she's trying to improve her memory, but not so impressive when the order is wrong, your customer service needs attention and you blow off your guests when they share valid concerns. We were respectful when we shared. The Manager should have been making their rounds too to check on customers. Especially being that there were only 2 or 3 tables with customers. We won't be back when we visit and nor will our local family. read more

I went today which is October 13 ,2024 and i came with family we got there before an employe came with her kids,they claimed to be busy but where talking to an employe who had her kids there they served them drinks from the bar when my dad had placed a drink and waited for 30 mins they never brought the drink so we ended up canceling the drink later on we got appetizers and never brought over plates and forks and knives, we kept asking for things because they never brought it before hand, i had gotten a chicken Alfredo my parents had already gotten there food they took forever with my plate my parents finished eating and they brought my plate out then they forgot my broccoli and that was my experience food and service could be better. read more

ok well i had to go in for the all you can eat. so went for the wings first. they were pretty good and good taste. once done i order the riblets. Ribs were ok but not the best. Ribs could have been better and the portion i got was literally a small piece not even enough to take 2 minutes on lol. ribs were a disappointment. service was good i had waitress always checking on me and my daughter. Original: We weren't sure we were going to try Applebee's tonight but after moving for the last 5 days, we just wanted food now. So in we went... The hostess met us at the door and helped us to a big, cozy booth and gave us menus. We have been to other Applebee's so know the menu but I was looking for something a bit healthier. Hubs saw the 2 for $20 which is 1 shared appetizer and 2 enteees. Our server Manny came by to take our drink orders (waters with lemons-it was hot today!) And since we both knew what we wanted, we gave our entrees too. We chose the boneless wing appetizer (we chose bbq sauce since hubs can't do buffalo) and we both had Bourbon Chicken and shrimp (without seasoning because neither of us care for Cajun or blackened flavors). It took a few minutes to get the wings because they are cooked on the cast iron griddle that came sizzling to our table. They were amazing-my husband even burned his tongue because he couldn't wait for them to cool! The sauce was sweet and a bit tangy and was sooo good, I used my fork to get every bit on my plate. Ok, so they didn't come in on the low cal mark but it was so worth it! Someone we thought was the manager stopped by to see how we were doing. It was so nice but even more so when we found he wasn't the manager but another server! Thank you Arnie!-Way to represent Applebee's! The Bourbon Chicken & Shrimp also came on a cast iron griddle with potatoes that were crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. My husband finished his and I had half the chicken and potatoes left. The staff that we interacted with were great. Our server, Manny, had lots of tables but still took care of each well-because he hustled and had a great personality that made you feel he cared (because he did!). Awesome job, Manuel! Also, Arnie, we mentioned above and the hostess who brought us in all were really great. We spoke to, the manager, Pablo and shared our concern about the reviews before coming in but had a great dining experience. When the staff works perfectly together it reflects on the management. Great job, Pablo! We were thrilled that whatever problems other Yelpers had seemed to be remedied. There was air conditioning-perfect (not like other places that freeze you!). Because of ONE waiter this place gets five stars According to the receipt her name is Nyrina Delfi Me and my husband came here due to hamburger stand being crashed into and I am pregnant and was craving it so bad but we had to go with option B Btw we drove from brawley just for it Anywho she was AMAZING even tho she had to deal with the nastiest rudest people in two different booths in front of us. The one right in front of us took FOREVER ordering,made the order complicated even tho she sat with them for like 15 minutes explaining the menu and then when they got the food they decided to say it was cold and complain about it to get more smh they even complained about a garlic bread and as she walked away they talked about how they scam places by complaining to get more or get items taken off the menu! Have been to this Applebee's twice now and although I don't love it, i don't hate it. I was in town for a business trip and my boss wanted to stop by for a quick bite before we hit the road. For starters we were well greeted and walked to our table with no wait. It was a Tuesday afternoon the place wasn't packed. Anyway, my boss asked for water and the host quickly said I'm not your server. Which to me was a bit rude, umm hello? We know you're not but it's 109 degree weather outside and your place isn't air conditioned, not to mention you're just going to go stand but whatever. We waited. Our server was Jose. He had a warm welcoming smile and asked what we wanted to drink. We said water and gave us a couple minutes to look over the menu. It was happy hour so appetizers were half off! My boss orders the wonton tacos and the spinach and artichoke dip which surprisingly turned out to be quit tasty, or maybe I was just starving! We then decided to order the cesar salads and the three cheese cavatappi from their 2 for $20 menu selection! We waited for about 10 minutes for our appetizers which was alright, at this point I had ordered the blackberry honey iced tea and still hadn't received it. 2 minutes after our appetizers arrived, the same hostess that wouldn't bring us a cup of water brought out our cesar saldas!! Which were absolutely disgusting, soggy and dry. My server Jose walked by and I let him know and he quickly took them without complaining but came back with what was supposed to be fresh green salad and it looked like they just mixed it up again and threw a couple pieces in there. It was un eatable. The pasta was ok, it wasn't mmmm yummy. I had to add salt and pepper to add some flavor. Halfway through my pasta dish I received my iced tea. Which was annoying but the tea was refreshing and wasn't sweet so no complaints there. Overall I wouldn't go back to this Applebee's. Although the staff isn't rude, they aren't the friendliest and service and attention to detail takes a hot minute. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. My boyfriend and I went at around 9 pm. We both ordered something fairly simple. No steaks or alcohol drinks. Just pasta and shrimp. We waited a whole HOUR for our food and they said they messed up our order and we had to wait another HOUR. we were so close to walking out but I we were starving. THEN the table next to us had the same exact issue. The ladies had every right to be mad and once they got their food it was cold. Same thing with my boyfriends pasta. It was freezing cold. We still payed the bill but left no tip and management was no help. Service was terrible. This was a long rant but we were there for two hours with cold food. The one server we enjoyed no longer works there. But shoutout to Allison for being a great server as well as Alexa for attending to our cold food and the young man with short hair for apologizing to us. Associates were better than the managers. We have gave This Applebee's several tries and the service is awful . From getting seated to just taking a drink order . Always short handed or they have another excuse . It is near our home so it's convenient but we have had to walk out to go somewhere else a couple of times, because of the bad service . Either getting ignore or our drinks take more than 10 mins and our food always coming out at different times . I'm guessing it has to do with the Moral or training of Employees . The weird part is that the Calexico, Ca Location service is a little worse. I really hope they get it together and start working as a team instead of blaming the cook, the bartender etc.. read more

Veterans Day, 1630 and a crowd waiting to be seated. After maybe a 5 minute wait, we were seated. Offered the Veterans menu, given a $5 voucher that is good for the next 30 days. Waitress took our order right away. I had the cheese burger, which was absolutely delicious and washed it down with a Octoberfest. The service was exceptional, the meal outstanding. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Applebee's food and drinks are always good and I have no complaints there. At least, I can't have any complaints about the food, because after sitting in the restaurant for over an hour, we never received any. We went on a Saturday night at 7pm. The restaurant was not very busy, and we were seated right away. A server came by and took our drink order, and these were delivered pretty quickly. We placed our food order, which was fairly simple: we were 2 couples and we ordered the exact same thing. It took 25 minutes for the couple we were with to get their appetizer, and we had to remind the server that we had ordered the same dish. The server stated that she knew, and that it would be out "in just a minute." One minute passed and many more followed. We saw people who came into the restaurant after us getting their entrees. We still sat, with empty drink glasses, waiting for our appetizer. It took another half hour or so for a server to come by and say that our appetizer would be out in "just a minute" but at that point, we just wanted them to cancel it, since we were expecting our actual meal to come. It never did. Nor did anyone ask if we wanted refills on our drinks. After it became clear that we would not be getting our dinners anytime soon, we asked to speak to a manager. To her credit, she apologized and said that this was inexcusable. We agreed. She asked if we would be willing to wait for "just a minute" while she went to check on our food. Our minutes had been used up, and we just wanted to leave. She comped our drinks, and the appetizer that had been delivered to our friends, which hadn't been touched, since they were waiting for us to get our food as well. This was a horrible experience, made worse by the fact that the staff at this Applebee's is always inattentive. I can't chalk it up to one bad night. I feel the our server purposefully left us sitting there, unattended. And let me tell you Applebee's, I can drink. My friends can drink. And when we drink we spend money. However your staff failed. Starting with the server. I saw you write down our orders. How is it that it was totally fucked up when it came out? Your fault or the kitchens fault? And it wasn't just the food ordered you flopped on, it was the drink order too. The best part, is when we told you our drinks were wrong and you just walked away. That was brilliant! I must congratulate your manager for either teaching you this trick, or for them having such disdain for their job to let this behavior slide. After already waiting ten minutes for the server to check-in on us I decided to push the call button for service, that little red light was blinking for about 7-10 additional minutes until you came over. We just wanted another drink. So here is a hint, when you see and empty or near empty glass at the table, ask the customer if they want another. It's just that simple! But the icing on the proverbial cake was when we said it was the birthday of someone at the table. And we sat there waiting for your clapping employees to come out and hand the birthday boy a slice of cake. But no, after watching THREE other tables get the clap and cake we decided it was about time we go somewhere else to spend or money. read more

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend. Customer service was nothing special, a lot of the employee's just acted like they had to be there or their mom would kick them out. Our waitress was pretty nice though, she was fascinated by my tattoos and wanted to show another waitress. So we order our drinks, it took about 10 minutes for us to receive them after ordering them. When we finally get them we were ready to order. We ordered the '2 for 20' 9oz steaks with only broccoli and mashed potatoes, cooked medium-rare. Took about another 10 minutes to get our appetizer we order (spicy boneless wings). 10 minutes after that, the manager runs our food out to our table & asks us to cut them to make sure they were cooked right. The food was perfect, as good as it's going to get for Applebee's standards. Steak was juicy, broccoli was well cooked and mashed potatoes were warm and tasty. We haven't been to Applebee's for several years because we were disappointed in whatever we ordered at that time. We decided to give it another try. I was very impressed that before seating us the Hostess sanitized the table and booth! We tried the new 'irresistibowls'. They were delicious! However I thought the Spinach Chicken Alfredo should have been more creamy. It was kind of dry but good flavor. My friend ordered the Mac&Cheese which wasn't creamy either, kind of dry but flavorful. It came with Chicken Tenders which were cooked perfectly though. Drinks were yummy! Suggestion is make them more creamy. We'll be back and try something else. read more

Two stars to many for this place, me my son and wify, wanted to go out for dinner and wify said she had a gift card for Applebee's! So off we went! We had the Sriracha shrimp, bourbon chicken(I think) and two other sides, baked potato and grilled vegetables! Came for St. Citizen Night. First observation: floor needed cleaning. A lot of trash; looked like a truck stop. Ordered wine. Glasses dirty, took them to the bar myself. Ordered cheeseburgers, they brought overdone hamburgers and no condiments...they came 10 minutes later. I complained to the lovely waitress, Leeann...and she sent the manager over. He took his time...hamburgers now very cold, and went to replace, saying he'd send over wine refills, indicating, to me, that they were on the house. Okay...ate dinner, got the bill...one wine free, one dinner free...no senior citizen discount (which is why we went!). I don't normally drink 2 wines, so wouldn't have had it had I known it wasn't on the House. He broke even, if not better...we won't be back. Highlight: Leanne, the waitress,.
