My friends and I went to sip and sugar for the Oogie boogie tea party…read more I've been there before for lunch, but not for their tea. It was quite crowded the day we were there, and it appeared as they only had one server. So the service was a little slow. But the food was excellent the sandwiches and all the different desserts were all excellent. The tea was great. I would highly recommend this place. The decor is very pretty and elegant. I've been to many tea houses, and this is one of my top five

Vibe: Girly and cute, the place is adorned with faux flowers on the wall, flower table cloths, pink…read morevelvet chairs. Definitely an overall Pink theme. It looks clean and spacious enough for a small scale tea shop. There are a-la-carte menu items (pastries, tea) and an afternoon tea menu. Price: $45 for the Royal Tea Experience package which is extremely reasonable considering what you get. There is a 90 mins max for each tea experience. They are pretty booked from what I saw. Food: For the Royal Tea Experience, each of us got: tea of choice, 5 tea sandwiches (Cucumber Dill Cream cheese, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Cranberry Turkey pinwheel, Roast Beed Arugula), 2 scones (Vanilla and Strawberry), Cream, Strawberry preserve, berries and some grapes, 3 desserts (mini muffin, Chocolate brownie, some kind of mini cake). The tea pots were a lot smaller than other places I've been to (probably enough for 1.5 cups of tea if filled to the rim). I love the heart-shaped sugar cubes, the size is just enough for a half teaspoon of sugar. They didn't have any milk for the tea set up like other places I've been to. I love the roast beef sandwich balanced flavor; the chicken one is really bland, a dash of curry powder would enhance the flavor more in my opinion; the cucumber needs to be sliced thinner as these slices are rather chunky; the scones are fine - I usually prefer my scones warm but only 1 place I know that serve it that way. The tea selection is decent, I went for Jasmine Rose. I feel that the scent and tea flavor was rather weak. There was barely any scent of each so it didn't leave a big impression on me. I want to try other ones in the future for sure. The staff was super nice to offer an extra tea bag if the flavor is too weak so I went for another bag. Service: Excellent! They were fast, courteous, and friendly. 2 staff made their rounds frequently to check on us and made sure we had enough hot water in our tea pots . Parking: This is where I docked up a star. The parking lot is shared with many businesses in the same strip mall. I came here at 10 AM on a Saturday and the whole parking lot was filled, there was no spot for me to park. My friend had to park all the way on the other side of the mall and I managed to find some parking in the back (side street). Avoid lunch time at all cost, there were cars waiting around as they couldn't find any parking. After the tea experience, we went somewhere else and upon coming back around 3 PM, half the parking lot is empty. If I would give anyone a tip on the parking time, it seems to be ideal around this time.

So, if you want to get a tasty bakery item or a gelato, they have it. This is a really unassuming restaurant. They have a big sign that says gelato out front, so many people walking by may think that is all they offer. This is not the case, however. They offer so much more. Don't be fooled by the sign! Once inside, you find a very well organized and very well developed café. They have really nice two people booths along one wall. Plus, they have tables for larger groups sprinkled throughout the restaurant. It's really a great place to sit back and enjoy a drink, a meal, and a conversation with anybody you go in there with. In terms of food, they have a wide spanning menu. They have very good breakfast items from all of the expected things you would expect: quiches, eggs, and all of that kind of stuff. Plus, they have a really nice menu of salads, as well. They also have a number of other things thrown in there, a lot of paninis, a bunch of sandwiches, and a little bit of everything else. It's really hard not to find something that you'll really enjoy at this café. The staff here is all super nice. And, they're happy to help you out with anything that you may need The way this café works is that you walk inside, go up to the front counter, place your order, and you're set to go. You can do this a couple of ways: you can grab one of their physical menus and choose what you want or you can also scan the QR code at each table and then you can look at their menu via your phone. One way or the other, you could find something you like and order. Overall, this is a really great place to enjoy a drink or a meal in Orange. Not only is the food and the drink all really good, it's a very good atmosphere.

Usually parking here isn't too bad if you're staying for less than an hour and easy to walk over to the dessert shop. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.
