This panadería is located near the 20th ave station and I always pass by it when getting home. I decided to give it a try and is impressed by the selection of pastries. The Spanish auntie has a great attitude and is really kind and patient despite the language barrier. The store is small and features traditional Spanish pastries; they also offer cheesecake and what looks like Black Forest cake slices up in the front counter. Additionally, the store has a wide of Mexican spices and snacks.
When they handed me the pastries in a clear plastic bag I knew this place was authentic but the chocolate donut was oily and really dry. The chocolate ganache that they dipped the donut in was pretty bland and flavorless. The conchas was drier than those sandwich buns from school lunches; it pretty much tasted like they had left it out for a week and became almost sort of..stale. read more
