If I could give Laura 20 stars I totally would. I came in with muddy green hair and I had given up hope that I could ever get it out of my hair without extreme damage. I came into the salon with a backup plan if copper couldn't be an option for me due to years of black boxed dye. She not only managed to remove it all and get me that copper color I wanted so badly, she also managed to do it without damage. I am so impressed. Zero stars. My mom had an appointment with Tara, for her first and last time the other day. The second she sat down, Tara instantly insulted her for asking hair advice. She was condescending and spoke down to her. So much so, my mom got out of the chair and walked out. My mother was a paying customer and was seeking advice on what to appropriately do to her hair. While my mom was not fully decided on how she wanted her hair, she shared photos with Tara on what she was thinking, as that is typically the job of the hair stylist to help guide a client. Apparently not at this salon. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. A hair appointment should empower women and lift them up. I told her I want the highlights to look natural, but I ended up with zebra stripes. Bought 2 livingsocial coupons and thankfully they were kind enough to refund my money. Very disappointed to leave such a negative rating. Took 5 days to get a call back to schedule an appointment and 10 days until the next available appointment according to Lori, the owner. However when scheduling, Lori does ask if you have a coupon and if you do NOT then they can get you in in just a few days. I had a friend call and when asked if she had a coupon my friend said no and Lori scheduled her appointment within 48 hours. When I tried to schedule for my daughter I was told that they sold 389 coupons and there are only 6 people working so they could not get her in any sooner than April 15th. My friend with no coupon was scheduled in 2 days. Nevermind the fact that my daughter was going to pay for additional services beyond the coupon. I love livingsocial and appreciate the fact they were so willing to provide excellent service by refunding. Oh well, hopefully others will have a better experience. read more

I have never found a better hair salon. I have long tried several salons for cut/color services and never found one that did what I asked for, even when I brought in pictures. Love this salon!! I work with Michelle. She always listens to what I am explaining and even suggests things that she has learned about at her latest classes. She asks questions while she is styling/coloring/cutting my hair to make sure we are always on the same page. I couldn't ask for a better hairstylist. Every time I come in to see her, all the other stylists make sure to say hello and come by to check out the style and tell me what they think and always give great ideas and advice on how to style. The appointment process is always smooth with no hiccups. I am also an avid livingsocial user and I have bought several coupons from the site. I know, through common sense, that the appointment times for coupon holders will stretch out a bit longer than usual because business owners need to accommodate their current clients first, walk ins AND living social clients as well. Jessica is THE BEST hair stylist I've ever had. You can show her any picture and your hair will be identical (as long as she is able to with your hair length and type). She is honest and will steer you toward the best look for your face and body if you want her to. I think her greatest skill is hair color though. My hair always looks very natural and healthy. This review is for Lauri and has been a long time coming. She is a magician. I have been going to her for a few years and she had suggested extensions a few times. I have had extensions in the past and wasn't too happy with them as they felt like a lot of maintenance, expensive upkeep and really bad for my hair. I finally decided to listen to Lauri and seriously it was the best decision I have made. My hair is actually easier to do now and even though it is longer and thicker I take less time getting ready since I only have to wash my hair every 5 days. My hair was sad and thin and now I have the hair of my dreams. At first I only used the extensions to thicken my hair but now I use it for length too. She knows where to place the extensions so they look totally natural and blend seamlessly with my real hair. There are so many different color options for the extensions as well and she will help you choose the correct color blends. Well, I ended up being quite happy with my experience, but started out feeling the same as the other Living Social users. I called the number on the voucher, and was just sent to a voicemail. I left a message and never got a return call. I looked on Yelp and saw that others had experienced the same thing, so I went directly to the business' web site, where I saw that each stylist had their own contact information. I left a message, with Michelle I believe, based on her positive review here on Yelp. She called me back within a half hour and, while she was not able to accommodate my schedule need, graciously referred me to Alayna, another stylist at the salon. She also called me back right away and was very helpful. I had a good experience with her, and felt confident that she was knowledgeable and had good input for styling my hair. I would/will return to her for another session. So, my advice to any other Living Social customers....go to the website and pick a stylist off their contact info link. Also, tip extra well if you like your service. I know we all buy the Groupon/Living Social type things to save money, but the stylist make almost no money on these. read more

I followed Bridget Newcomb to this salon as she is an incredible color artist. Over the course of my life I've attempted to go blond with very limited to disastrous success. That is, until I found Bridget. I've made multiple phone calls over several weeks to La Coupe Maison trying to get an appt but to no avail. I'm so frustrated b/c I NEED a cut and color - like, I'm past due - and b/c I have a Living Social coupon for this place which expires in 3 weeks, I can't go anywhere else at this point. Thinking this place might be a one-woman show run out of her garage (and why no call back b/c she's busy with customers and her kids, etc.), I did a little online search. After being unable to load their website, I found the reviews here on Yelp. I couldn't believe that other LS coupon holders were having the same problems -- and why! Unbelievable. I'd already thought about contacting LS for a refund, then when I saw others had, I decided not to waste another minute trying to contact LCM Salon. I called LS immediately, told them my story and what the other reviewers said ("Feel free to go to Yelp to confirm what I'm saying," I added), and without hesitation, the cust svc agt gave me a refund. Thank you, Living Social, for providing such quality service to your customers and trusting them. It's the best way to get return customers. read more

The owner, Laurie, returns phone calls when she is ready or thinks she has the time (can be a week or more); she works part time in Folsom and in Windsor; but she continuously answers her iphone during appointments; she was overwhelmed with Living Social vouchers; she rushes to complete your hair service as fast as she can and will cut corners to save time; she is controlling and will tell you what to do despite your opinion or knowledge. She negates your knowledge. I should have walked out in the beginning when she tried to talk me into cutting my hair first before doing anything else and then she insisted on cutting my hair first and said "I'm going to do what I'm use to doing." She stopped when I told her "why don't we just forget the haircut and not do it at all." When I pointed out that some strands of hair were left out, she tucked them in instead of including them in a roller. She insisted my perm was done in 12 minutes despite my telling her that my hair has always taken 20-25 minutes. The bottom four inches of my hair is straight. I felt minimized, bullied and abused. I don't like her controlling nature, know-it-all attitude, sub-standard service, and her disregard for my wishes. I will never go back. Living Social tried to compensate me somewhat for such poor service. read more

I got my hair done here because I purchased a Living Social deal. The place looked really clean and professional, and all the staff was very nice. My hair was a little challenging because I had highlighted it so many times it had about 6 different colors in it. I told the lady to make it all one blonde color. She did a really good job blending all the shades to make one solid color, but the front came out a little orange-ish. It wasn't that noticeable but it annoyed me. The cut was really good though.... I ended up going to my regular salon and had them put some toner on my hair to get rid of the orange-ish look. read more

I had my hair cut and high lighted by the stylist Michelle and I have never been so disappointed or upset by the treatment I received. Michelle is the rudest, most disrespectful person I have ever met. I would NOT EVER recommend this salon to a friend and would NEVER recommend Michelle to my worst enemy. Throughout the entire session Michelle continually told me how horrible my hair looked and that it was falling out in bunches (it was not). She told me this after I refused to purchase her over priced salon shampoo and conditioner she was selling. It was also almost impossible to make an appointment with her and when she found out I had a Groupon, her whole demeanor changed and she became rude and demeaning towards me. I'm very surprised by all the negative reviews, i had a great experience here. i used the living social coupon and got a great deal, which was awesome although i knew it probably would be awhile before they could get me in. Michelle was my hairdresser, and she did a great job. i am not the easiest person to get a hold of but she was very good about promptly returning my phone calls, and when we scheduled my appointment she asked a lot of questions about my hair so that she would have everything ready when i went in, which was great. i have a crazy schedule with work and school so in order to get me in on a weekend day Michelle stayed even after the salon closed . The salon itself is very cute and all the girls there were very nice. My time at this salon was perfect. I walked in with poorly dyed blonde hair with a tint of blue green shade. The box color I had been using just went in a wrong direction. My friend had recommended Amanda Lane and I knew that I had to spend more money than usual to correct this obvious color mistake. We talked about what I wanted and Amanda said she could bring back a more natural looking color and she did!! Also, I got a fun hair style which suits me. After she did her magic with my hair color, she asked if I wanted it trimmed. Most of my hair had been fried and damaged so I said go ahead and give my a new cut. I trusted her to keep some of the length and to give me a cut which would work for me. My look is better than I can have imagined. Amanda is a genius and she was very sweet to me. i went to amanda, and she is a genius with hair. i have changed my hair to many different colors and she has always gotten my hair exactly the way i wanted it to look like. she is the only stylist i trust doing my hair, i have gone to other stylists and they have not even compared to how well she does my hair. one stylist even turned my hair green and as soon as i went to her she fixed it completely. she is amazing at extensions as well and always gets the perfect color matches. she also has done the keratin treatment on my hair and it did wonders for my hair, because i have very wavy and frizzy hair, it is so easy to style and work with now and looks so much healthier. she is very easy to talk to and understands what i want to do with my hair and to work around my schedule. i have also gotten tinsels and a feather in my hair from her and they are so fun and festive especially for the holidays. i recommend her to any one that needs to get their hair done. she is amazing!
