Vallarta Mexican Seafood…read more All the vibes of a Mexican Pacific Coast restaurant. Finally persuaded my 100% Italian wife to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood, and she loves this place. Caveat: Vallarta Mexican Seafood is several rungs above the average Tex-Mex joint in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. We really enjoy Sonora Grill Seafood Steak Bar & Grill, and Vallarta Mexican Seafood merits special attention as well. On our radar: La Poblanita Mexican Market and restaurant. A note on stars; Sonora Grille is on Burkhardt, and in a small strip mall; I am not inclined to award a strip mall restaurant 5 stars; however.... Vallarta Mexican Seafoodis also in a small strip mall with plenty of free parking. Folks inclined to visit and dine at The Greene might go west to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Travel Tip: do check menu Spanish definitions to avoid order errors. We can depend upon Yelp whilst researching: Here are 5 Star Reviews for Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Several of these reviews encouraged us to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood: ...but their food is SO GOOD!! Fresh, flavorful, not your typical Mexican restaurant. Visiting from Seattle and was looking for some good authentic Mexican cuisine. Found it here! Vallarta Mexican & Seafood... a MUST try for super fresh, delicious, LARGE portion seafood! Amazing service, fantastic portion sizes, and the food was awesome! will definitely be back! Throughout our 60 year relationship, my wife enjoys dessert as an appetizer, and today is no exception. The Churro's are delivered in a flash; we discovered this special treat nearly 50 years ago during an expedition to Spain and Portugal. The very best Churro's were prepared by roadside vendors, and our friends, Bill and Ellen Rose agreed. Neat ambience, and delightful service. Music is Boomer Music.... My wife insisted on MAR Y TIERRA - Mexican Surf and Turf. Grilled chicken, steak and shrimp served with rice, charro beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes - expect a togo box. My son elected QUESADILLA DE ASADA A flour tortilla filled with your choice of grilled meat, stuffed with cheese, grilled bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with rice. And I selected Steak PARRILADAsteak cooked with bell peppers, tomatoes and onions. Served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and flour tortillas - expect a togo box. Way too much Tilapia on the menu - we recommend to lose this fish and replace with REAL fish. My wife is Very Pleased, and she advises that we shall return

I went at 8pm on a Saturday and there was no line, plenty of parking. The cashier was polite and friendly, told me 10-15 minutes, but it was ready in about 8 minutes. The horchata and tacos were all delicious! The salsas were also very good, and they gave me two large slices of lime for my food. I will definitely go back. Reasonably priced in my opinion, I paid $16 for four tacos and a large horchata. The food was really well wrapped in heavy duty tin foil and placed in a plastic grocery bag. On my way home my food slid off the seat and crashed onto the floor, but everything stayed intact! This wasn't a problem for me, but just know it is cash only and there's no seating while you're waiting. I sat and waited on a concrete parking block since I didn't park close enough to see the window.

The carne asada was served traditionally, however the beef wasn't seasoned well- we look for evidence of a lime-based marinara which was lacking. Nonetheless, the food was tasty. Service was quick, attentive, and polite. Well done! The main reason for three stars was the poor maintenance of the restrooms. The ladies was "c+" clean, while the men's room was "D". We visited this establishment within 30 minutes of opening with one other customer in the building. However the men's room smelled strongly of urine with tiny gnats hovering around the urinals and toilets. Otherwise, the ambiance of the dining area is colorful and clean.

My parents come here often and I tried it for the first time tonight. Major issues. I asked if the soft serve margarita had dairy (I'm vegan) and if the beans had lard. The waitress didn't seem to understand what I asked, so she brought over another waitress. The other waitress simply said "I don't think so", I need a definite yes or no. She would not even go check or ask. I ordered the veggie fajitas. NO sour cream and NO cheese. It came with both. When I asked them to correct it, they brought out a different kind of beans containing meat (which was mixed into everything) and the fajitas even had a piece of chicken (which I can usually ignore but it genuinely felt personal). I'm not usually someone to complain. If you look at my other reviews, they are fairly positive. However this pissed me off. I would be fine if it was just a translation issue, I understand. However the number of things that occurred was unacceptable. And "I don't know" is not acceptable to someone with an actual allergy. That being said. I really did like the overall vibe in here and the robot came out and danced which was fun. But all of that did not make up for what occurred. I wish that it had been better.

I wish they a bit less rigid on menu requests, like I would've loved to have the enchilada without chicken. Cheese enchilada seems like a reasonable change. I had a bite of the desserts also and they were fine. The tres leches was kind of ok. Service was good. Place is nicely done also. I works definitely come back if in the area again.

When I arrived to pick it up, I was surprised at how small (cozy?) the inside was. They also have a small patio out front. The burrito was huge, and came with three different sauces on the side. I'm usually a fan of spicy, but these sauces were VERY hot, so tread with caution. The burrito also came with a side of chips and salsa which was nice. Overall, the food was pretty good and the portion was very generous. I'd definitely get take-out from here again.
