Great coffee and a great space for studying it very big and spacious! I got nitro on tap which was so smooth and tasty I believe it was made with oat milk which is a plus and they had a lot of flavors to choose from. I will say I don't think they had a huge food/pastry selection. They were also very quick and friendly l!

Had to come on here to write a review because I've seen so many harsh ones! All of the harsh reviews I read were about the staff and let me just say, the women that helped me and my friends were SO KIND. They let us try basically everything on tap and were beyond patient with our immature coffee palates lol My latte was good! Not the best but not the worst. This was a great experience and there were plenty people seated and working. I'm visiting DC but I'd come back again for sure!

    Draft oat milk latte

First time visiting La Colombe Coffee and I love a latte with oat milk so I ended up getting draft oat milk latte. Read some reviews about it being jerky air and foam and luckily that wasn't my case. It was the perfect amount of cofffee/milk/sweetness. I added a tiny bit of sugar and light ice to mine. Easy to drink and light. If you want something stronger I would suggest something else. I would be back for this drink. During covid times they are only take out and social distancing is practiced.

Big spacious venue with ample seating and tables to sit at. This is a really good place to come with friends, a coffee date, studying, or just to chill. There isn't a WiFi though but I think everyone uses the WiFi network of upstairs but I wasn't able to connect to it personally (but I saw others working on laptops so I'm sure it connects). Big windows and natural light makes this place very relaxing. I ordered a cappuccino and it came on a cute plate with a tiny spoon (they have very adorable mugs and cups here if you're looking for that aesthetic they gotchu). There are chargers scattered between tables at the walls too if you plan on being here a while. The cappuccino itself was good, nothing wrong here, strong espresso flavor with a light milk foam. The barista was kind enough to also remake my drink because I went to the restroom for a while so my drink had been laying out in the open. I think it was because she reset the espresso machine so the new drink came out being fresher. They also serve pastries here if you're looking for snack to eat alongside your

Awesome coffee shop a little off U St. Lots of tables and a still/sparkling water station too! The coffee is fantastic. They've got multiple coffees on tap including cold brew, cold brew latte, and oatmilk cold brew latte. Service was super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.

Foam settled and only 1/4 of cup filled with coffee
    Poohy K.

Grabbed my fav oat draft latte and was very disappointed to find that 95% of it was foam. Not sure why the barista was so quick to hand me my drink when no one else was in there or waiting in line. And After the foam settled cup was only 1/4 of actual coffee. Beware! Now I have to go buy another coffee

The coffee shop has a nice appearance to it. But the rest of the experience was disappointing. The indie music was loud and annoying.

I tend to like sugar (too much) but try to drink black sometimes to try to appreciate the actual coffee flavor and for health reasons. Nice way to hydrate in a fancy way. Art work doesn't typically grab me but this art work did. If I had money, time, and comfortable accessibility to purchase, I would. I am sure I could order online and have shipped but I like to avoid shipping costs if I can. The realism and detail grab me in a way I like. The DC tunnel views that continue to beautify DC's respectable metro system show you that Jimmy is truly a local DC artist. It is reminiscent for me of Juniper Lane's music album cover Tightrope. I didn't notice this until after the fact but apparently when you buy art directly from here you get 15% of your purchase for more coffee here too. Wow. Why the missing star? This is kinda picky but if I wasn't looking or a foreigner, I could've accidentally added hand sanitizer to my coffee and well that's a big no no. Granted the bottle is labeled but I am not a fan of this being in the same area as the coffee add-ons. I know spacing is tight and maybe someone moved this bottle in this area but I don't get that sense and just think it's not a good setup. If this place wanted to expand , I think finding good NYC locations would be optimal as well. I am unsure if Philly would be good or not as an additional location as a coffee culture crowd. Of course I would still come back. It was worth the 15 min walk from the convention center in this hot August weather.

We were lucky enough to snag some goodies and got a bit of everything, we just weren't patient enough to wait to photograph everything. We did the Za'atar Gruyère Croissant, chocolate croissant, the cheese biscuit item they had (don't remember exact name) and the sfogliatelle. I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!

Most recently went as a party of 4 and got the crab beignets, beef arepa, masa gnocci, and parillada for two. Crab beignets were our favorite - perfectly crispy and great flavor. Parillada was a hearty entree and probably best for 2-3 people. This amount of food altogether was just nice. We probably could have ordered one more thing to be extra full.
