I have the ascedero green chili burger. There was a mixup with the cooking temperature. But they graciously replaced it. Chili poblano soup was fantastic. I recommend everyone to try it not too spicy but very tasty. The drinks were spot on, and the wine that I had the sweet red was absolutely fabulous ! Everyone had a very good time and I can't wait to go back! Reservations are a good idea .

Extremely Disappointed, Multiple Issues Throughout…read more I had high expectations for this restaurant given its chophouse reputation, but our experience was disappointing from start to finish. We ordered the bone marrow appetizer, iceberg wedge, Caesar salad, and two kids meals to go. Unfortunately, nearly every aspect of our order had problems. The bone marrow was excessively salty to the point of being inedible. We tried to salvage it by scraping away the salt, but ultimately had to throw it out, I was not happy as you know bone marrow is not cheaply priced. The salsa macha accompanying it was also missing. My Caesar salad arrived with wilted lettuce literally hanging out of the container, clearly not fresh enough to serve. One kids meal had the wrong side item, no silverware was provided, and our drinks were forgotten entirely. We returned to address these issues, and while the manager was apologetic and remade our order, the replacements were still subpar. My LARGE salad was noticeably smaller than what I originally ordered, and the salsa macha, when finally provided, was very mediocre at best. I've had a lot better. I'm typically understanding when restaurants make one or two mistakes, but when an entire order is executed this poorly, it's hard to overlook. I understand they were busy, but they seriously need to execute better under those conditions. For a chophouse at this price point, the quality and attention to detail should be far better. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Amazingly good flautas for an incredibly reasonable price. (They have other dishes too, but that's…read morewhat they are known for!) Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn't do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I'd honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!

I think solid is a perfect word for this place. Not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but not…read morethe worst. I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

They have a fabulous salad bar...I mean FABULOUS! There are so many topping choices, dressings, pasta salads and 2 soup choices. The warm bread is delicious and the prime rib is AMAZING! While staying in El Paso for 3 months caring for a sick family member, we had Cattle Baron 2-3 times a week. It was great any day of the week or weekend! Service is great!!! And the ambiance is classic steakhouse flare. Again...if you like prime rib...this is your place!!! Love this place!

I went in hungry after a massage, ready to judge honestly, and... no. Just no. Service was sweet but slow, nothing to complain about. The real issue was the food. Everyone around me kept saying the same thing I was thinking: the salad bar is the best part. And honestly, that's not something you want to overhear in a steakhouse. I ordered my prime rib medium rare. What I got was rare in the wrong way. No seasoning crust, no browning, just a floppy cut with a thick tendon and a lot of fat and gristle. One of the worst cuts I've ever been served. Even the au jus couldn't save it. Mashed potatoes and bread were fine but bland. My husband's burger was just okay. Prices were normal for a steakhouse, but the quality didn't match at all. I left feeling queasy and very disappointed, especially since I was hoping to add this place to our holiday rotation. Service was fine. Decor was fine. The food was the problem. I can't recommend this location, especially if you're going for prime rib. If anyone in El Paso has a solid prime rib recommendation for the holidays, I'm listening. Cattle Baron 1700 Airway Blvd, El Paso, TX 79925
