Ordered: Regular Croissant (~$6) Cardamom Bun (~$6) Regular 12oz Iced Cardamom Latte (~$9) Medium 8oz Cappuccino (~$7) Aya's take: La Cabra is a cafe, bakery, and coffee roastery originally from Denmark. The interior design is very European, minimalistic, and serene. It's bright, quiet, and peaceful if you're looking to have a slow morning. The coffee here is excellent. The Cappuccino was balanced, bold, and creamy. Simple yet executed well. The Iced Cardamom Latte was revitalizing from the very first sip. The cardamom syrup is essentially a $2 up-charge and seems to be the only flavor available. Each sip had that warm, aromatic, and light sweetness. The same goes for the Cardamom Bun although it tasted a bit undercooked/chewy as opposed to being fluffy on the inside. On the other hand, the Croissant was ultra buttery with that delicately shattering exterior yet super balanced in richness and flavor. All in all, definitely a top 10 in the city and worth a try!
To me La Cabra has perfected the art of a latte! Their cardamom latte is amazing with the perfect coffee notes and balance of flavor with the cardamom. Their pastries are also very delicious in the flakey side and they have some sandwich options too. Inside is beautiful, modern but cozy. Can work from there but it does get busy! Service is great.
Cardamom buns are worth the hype!! If youre familiar with the "bao" it has that type of moist bun like consistency.

Was excited to try La Cabra as the most anticipated coffee to try in NY. It was fancy, but for the average coffee drinker like me, this place didn't do much... I just went for espresso with Barbosa (Brazilian) and it came out with carbonated water which was great to cleanse palate for max enjoyment I guess. This was ok to pretty good for me. Wife went for the pour over Sudan Rume (Colombia) which sounded great washed, floral and balanced. But when I tried it, this was just very weird flavor for me. Didn't even know coffee could smell and taste like this, reminded me more of like some kind of fermented miso or bean paste soup flavor? No idea. The cafe was very clean but maybe too clinical and too quiet where I didn't feel comfortable even talking to break the zen silence of the library like environment. Wife and her pastry chef friend said the pastry was excellent here, so maybe just need to be a higher level of connoisseur of things to be able to enjoy this place...
Finally got to try the infamous cardamom bun. Not sure if it is the same caliber as the Manhattan location but I thought it was pretty delicious for a rainy Sunday. I found the space here stunning. I almost forgot I was in Bushwick lol. Very clean, elegant, serene, all the things I love! they have cubicle style spots which I think I will be frequenting a lot come this fall as well as standard seating. It is a slight bummer that they don't have as many pastry options (think there were just croissants and the cardamom bun) but I suppose it's just an excuse to make my way to EV.
the cardamom buns were so delicious and soft. the cappuccino was the perfect texture and taste and the iced cortado tasted very clean. the service was great and the baristas were very helpful and knowledgeable about the coffee. the place itself is a dream. you walk in and are instantly relaxed. The interior felt so beautifully thought out.
Great space, ambiance and aesthetic. However, the coffee is lacking and pricey. It was on the sour side and lacked the creaminess even with the milk. Their pastries, however, were delicious. Would recommend the cardamon bun and croissants. Ample seating that's great for small groups or to work (there is laptop only seating). Would come back for the environment and the pastries but I would skip the coffee.
My boyfriend and I came at 10 AM on a Thursday, and there was no line but it quickly filled up. Cardamom bun was great as always, and I had an amazing oat milk latte. Espresso was also fire. Filter was good, too. This is the best La Cabra location of the three in NYC by far - very spacious with plenty of seating.

Very clean aesthetic, super open, super natural color palette, very tattooed employees and the tastiest of Danish dessert rolls! Oh my! It's no surprise we are blessed to have this roastery located so close to home. And also there's locations around the world. Glad I just have been doing a stroll to get my fill of the perfect coffee and the perfectly sweetened treat. I went on a more fall day and maybe it deterred the crowds. I would assume this place can get nuts. The locations in the city are chaos and that's putting it lightly. Will gladly be adding this to my "sweet little treat" stops!

All the employees are really accommodating and friendly and you can feel the Scandinavian/Japanese ambiance in this place. I would come back and try their other locations!
What a beautiful location - lots of seating for both groups, couples, and individual nooks for working too. If you're looking for a unique coffee experience and have some time to unwind, this is the place to be - the lines do get long but go through quickly, although the wait for drinks is a bit long but that's because there is so much care and attention to detail behind each drink. I got the iced Chai Latte which was surprisingly very sweet but still very refreshing, just what I needed.
Such a vibe here! We got matcha and some sweet treats! Everything was yummy! There was a wait over weekend, seating is limited, but there were additional seats on the side. Great experience! Music is chill and relaxing!!

The inside was very clean and felt very modern. It appears since we visited they have increased the selection of baked goods. There was a portion of the back wall that was all glass. You could see the bags of coffee beans and roasting machines which was pretty cool. I would revisit this place and if you find yourself in the area it is definitely worth checking out. read more
Wow, this La Cabra location in Bushwick is gorgeous and spacious. There is a lot of seating indoors and outdoors with a minimalist interior, although it was still quite busy on the weekend. They also have dedicated laptop and non-laptop areas. As a bakery from Denmark, a Cardamom Bun ($6.50) is a must here, which is what they're known for. read more
It was a cute little cafe. Really unique architecture and furniture. They have a no laptop zone if that's something you desire. I had the chai latte and my friend had an iced latte and we what's two desserts. It was about 26 bucks for the two drinks and two deserts. To me that's a bit on the pricier side. They brought our drinks to our table after they were made. read more

I came here as a spot to grab some coffee and chat with friends. The interior of the cafe is spacious and there are booths for you to do your work at, tables that are reserved as 'non-laptop' tables (only for chatting), and outdoor seating. Service was quick. I got their Cardamom latte & croissant, and enjoyed it. The cardamom latte was a bit too sweet for my liking, so I would ask for less syrup next time, and the croissant was solid. Such a nice spot! Little out of the way but fun and yummy and homey! Less busy than Manhattan locations, but still tricky to find a spot to eat. Love that they have laptop only spaces separated from the yapping area. They remember your face and deliver your food when eating inside which is really sweet. Don't be like me and accidentally assume they have houjicha lattes when instead it's just houjicha tea got the almond croissant and it was a little oily but very crisp and yummy! read more

Really nice place that you can enjoy and relax with friends. They roast their coffee on site and it's really good. They also have other options, like Matcha. Their pastries are baked fresh and the staff is friendly. read more
RECOMMEND: getting a pillowy cardamom bun that is just the right amount of sweetness to pair with your coffee. The cold brew is pretty strong and smooth in taste. Nothing life-changing though. No public WiFi, so if you're going to work, be prepared to use a hotspot. But the individual booths are a great & rare feature of this cafe. With some headphones, it's a private oasis to help you focus while still around company. Paid $13 for a small cold brew and a bun, which is pricey, but I'd return to work here. read more

Cute little café in Bushwick. There's lots of room for sitting and they even have little work cubbies on the first floor (limited space). Sooooo many different pastries to choose from. The ham and cheese croissant was delishhhhh. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. Can't wait to return! read more

Është modern, por gjithsesi ndihesh sikur mund të relaksohesh ose të punosh pa stres. Por OMG, kafja? Një nivel tjetër. Çdo gllënjkë të bën të mendosh, "A kam pirë ndonjëherë kafe të vërtetë para kësaj?" Është *aq* e mirë. Qoftë një espresso super e butë apo një pour-over që të lë pa fjalë, e kapin në perfeksion çdo herë. Stafi? Shumë miqësor dhe cool, të bën të ndihesh si klient i përhershëm edhe nëse je për herë të parë. Ata e dinë mirë punën e tyre, dhe kjo duket në çdo filxhan perfekt. Plus, ëmbëlsirat... po flas për gjëra super të shijshme e të buta që shkojnë *perfekt* me kafenë. La Cabra është më shumë se një kafene, është një përvojë. I live close to the La Cabra in the East Village so compared to that location, this is much bigger, less crowded, and just overall so aesthetically chic and peaceful. Looks like a nice place to do some work or quiet reading. Initially, I would give this place 5 stars but after having gone 3 times, I see their prices aren't consistent. An iced matcha on 2nd Ave is $7.89 after taxes and the two times I came here for matcha the prices were different. $9.25 the first time and $9.80 the second after I asked for a "small" and they confirmed oh you want a 12oz? You would think a smaller size drink would cost LESS. $10 for a matcha is ridiculous. I'll stick to the EV location! read more

My friends always speak so highly of la cabra so I knew I had to come try myself. I love finding any excuse to try a new coffee and pastry spot. Came here specifically for their pastries and all three pastries were phenomenal! I can't say one bad thing about them because they all have their own unique flavor that makes them so delicious. I got the cardamon bun which was very delicious the spice and flavorful soft bun was chefs kiss. My mom enjoyed the spice in this bun a lot! Also got their ham and cheese croissant, so flavorful yummy savory and just everything you want in a hand and cheese croissant. Also got their classic croissant because you can never go wrong with a plain classic croissant. It was buttery crisp flaky and you can see the layers of air pockets in it just absolutely delicious. Love la cabra pastries and love how it's a walk from home. Service was fast place was very quiet and zen great for working from home and grabbing a coffee vibe. There's plenty of seating and endless options of things to try. All 3 pastries together were $22. So on the $$ end for a pastry but for the taste and quality once a blue moon I can't complain read more

Quiet space, giving 2045 vibes. Time seems to move slow here, making everyday feel like a rainy day. Baristas are extremely serious about their craft and it definitely shows. There is an area for computer use which is not in the main area. Not your typical Brooklyn café. I would have loved if the pastry's were hot, might not be their thing but still tasty. read more
