I was expecting more/better from this place. It was laundry day, which means it's taco day. Usually we go to OmegaMart, right there in the same parking lot as Sudsville on North Point, but I decided to try another of the 20 Mexican spots in my neighborhood. It wasn't necessarily a bad decision, just a disappointing one. La Cabana is another one of those restaurants where the line cook or whomever doesn't read the whole ticket. Not only was there lettuce on the burrito which I specified no lettuce, but they charged me for but did not make my quesadilla. I was really looking forward to the beef tongue quesadilla, because I haven't ever had beef tongue before but I have heard good things about its tenderness. Also, you pay PER TACO, not as a combo plate of three - or at least that's how it's been at other places I order from. So when I went to pick up my order, and felt that the bag was light, I only realized that I hadn't ordered enough tacos - not that my quesadilla was entirely missing. It makes me disgruntled, having to check my orders all the time. Why is it so hard for the people working in the kitchen to check the ticket and make sure the customer received everything they paid for? I mean, the place was empty. It's not like they were slammed and didn't have the time. It's a pity because the food was fairly good. The nachos were amazing, but I'm pretty sure that's because they use liquid nacho cheese. The tacos could use a little help. They're missing some critical component, like salt. The chicken one was lackluster. And I feel like the tortillas could use some work. Instead of there being two thin tortillas, there's only one thick, tasteless thing. I ended up scraping the filling out and throwing the tortilla in the trash. Thankfully I always have flour tortillas at home. I know, I know, flour tortillas aren't authentic, but that ship sailed long before I got my hands on these tacos. The hot sauces are all right. I've had better, more flavorful ones from OmegaMart, Tacos Tolteca, and even Jalapenos. I ended up having to use my own chopped jalapenos from my fridge to bring the spice, as the green salsa has no kick whatsoever, but the orangish red on is a bit too much. Mixing them together did nothing to help. I'm sorry to say that I will not be returning, and that I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Slamming Good food, great homemade tortillas. Reasonably priced. Free fruit after you eat. Cool vibes and great staff.

The Good: The staff was pleasant and we were seated quickly. The establishment was clean and comfortable. I had the vegetarian tacos, and I will say they are an acquired, which means they are not necessary bad, it is just not a taste I am used to. My wife had the chicken tacos, which she thought were decent. My son had the cheese quesadilla and fries, and they were both good. The Bad: The food could have been a little better I thought. Judgment: Overall, great. Decent food. I do recommend giving this place a try.

Tacos - should have ordered all chicken. Picture appears larger - very small portion for the price.

This place is too expensive for a dive! 3 little tacos and a drink set me back $15 (20 with tip). The chicken taco was good but the steak was very fatty and grayish. No complimentary chips and salsa either. I sat outside during COVID-19 but the trash and pesky flies made it very undesirable. I won't be back since nearby Jalapeños supermarket offers a better experience and bigger portions.

$30 bucks!!! For 3 little Street tacos

So I was looking for something to eat the other night. I called and ordered 1 chicken taco, 1 pork Taco and 1 Shrimp Taco. So 3 Taco not burritos. When I walked in they had popsicles so I grab 2. She tells me it's $26. I was like Wow! I must have ordered like a dinner with like beans and rice?? I open my box when I get in the car cause it feels empty. It was 3 tacos. Almost $30 for 3 tacos.

The tacos al pastor from here are 100% good especially with the green salsa. The horchata is a bit to thick for my liking but overall good eat, pretty expensive but great

The food was Fresh and Flavorful with a colorful presentation. The customer service was attentive and pleasant. I will definitely be back!

I love they have a waiting room, that doubles at a Carryout pick up and merch shop, so genius. It reminds me that Baltimore food scene is on the rise. The tacooooooos, this gotta be their bread and butter I definitely bodied it. The flan was classic, I got what I expected. Definitely high on my recommendation list, if you haven't you should go and if you have it's probably been a minute go run it back solo or w/ the homies

She has always been wanting to try this place. And she absolutely loved it. Clavel has been in the Remington neighborhood since 2015. Mainly a family/minority owned taqueria and mezcaleria with deep Sinaloa roots. One thing I absolutely love here is the ceviche. My favorites are the Aguachile( shrimp cured in lime and spicy cilantro pesto). The salmon crudo was straight fire and I always love the ponzu tuna. You can never go wrong with the queso fundido. And not pictured were the tacos. We also got a few tacos to share for the table. The barbacoa de borrego and the El lucahdor( fish taco) is my favorite. And their cocktails are to die for. You really can never go wrong with having dinner here at Clavel. Great place to stop in and have a few drinks and grab delicious food.

Don't let the outside deceive you. Once you walk in you'll smell the fresh cilantro and chile. It took a bit to translate the menu, but you'll figure it out. There are plenty of options. The server helped us figure it out and we were set. I ordered the El pastor tacos, beans & rice, and tortilla chips. The tacos were theeee best! What I loved the most is that the corn tortillas didn't fall apart!!! I hate it when I go to eat a taco and it falls apart. They cooked the tortillas enough so they held up, but were still soft. Did I already say how good the tacos were?! Along with the meat is cilantro, some onions, and you can top it with some green chili sauce. Sooooo good! The pico de Gallo was some of the best I've ever had. I know what you're thinking. How could you go wrong with pico de Gallo? Yeah, I wonder the same thing, but this pico was FRESH with just the right ratio of tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. Next time I'll order two of them. The chips are restaurant-made. That was our first indicator that the food was going to be ALL that we hoped it would be. AND it was. The beans were pinto beans. Memories from home and the ultimate comfort food. The were cooked perfectly with just enough seasoning. The rice was perfectly cooked too. This is the taco spot you need to try.

It's there and cooked without oil immersion or the awful trap of terrible portioning. Here, the nutrients shine. And that is healthy. Price: Decent. Very Decent. Everything I bought there was roughly over 45 dollars (before the tipping) and keep in mind, the condiments and sauces were complimentary. For this quality and quantity? I definitely got my money's worth. Experience: Wonderful server. Even in a busy dinner cycle, she came over and literally started to hand me a menu almost right as I sat down. Even gave me a great recommendation for the Enchilada platter and brought the holster of extras over to the table as well. The food was delivered quickly, and the small details (utensils, cleanliness, chair organization etc.) were great. Taste: Honestly this place is a standout for seasoning. It's flavorful, unique, and skewed towards spices over oil. Tasteful impact, without the baggage. A gem. Even among so many other restaurants serving this cuisine in the area I've tried, this is a standout. I'll come eat here again. You should too. Still, between the solid tacos, quick prep, and friendly service, this place is definitely worth checking out if you're nearby.
