Absolutely in love with this place! Been going here for years but I moved to chino 2 years ago and stopped going. Was in Fullerton today and decided to go back and get a full set. Not only did they remember me but also my sister. They did an AMAZING job on my nails. Showed her a picture and she matched the color and shape exactly! I'm currently on crutches and they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable the whole time. After today's visit I will be making the 20 minute drive every time I wanna get my nails done. This place rocks! I got a terrible dip mani at another nearby salon. I went to La Brea and asked if my one week old Mani should look so bad and the propriety offered to freshen my bad mani! When I tried to pay for this service they refused to take my money! Way to go La Brea nails! Looking forward to returning for a La Brea mani/pedi! read more

idk why yelp won't let me give them a 1 star review. probably rigged, because LA BREA NAILS DESERVES 1 STAR. honestly the worst use of $55 i could ever think of. my gut hurt as i was paying at the front desk. that's how sad i was to lose money over the shoddiest workmanship i have ever received. everyone else is giving them good reviews. are you guys getting paid or was my experience just a fluke?? read more

My first time here, and I am really satified. Reasonable price and great service. I had a padi and mani there. Tiffany was really patient on my nails which came out perfect. My padi doesn't impress me a lot because I think I picked the wrong color, but the lady was doing a good job on other padi massage cares. read more

I frequent La Brea Nails every three to four weeks. Each time the entire staff is warm and welcoming. They do a fantastic job on both my gel manicure and spa pedicure. Even if I am in a hurry, they can get me in and out in time with a job well done. My gel nails last the longest here. Every other place I have tried usually breaks off within the first week. Here, I don't have to worry. read more

If I could give this place I would give it a 0 One of the ladies didn't even take off acrylic nails off correctly and painted over prices of acrylic! Another lady cut my finger with her own nail and kept going over the affected area with acetone... didn't even keep the nail polish on nail just simply messy and wayyy over priced they charge for everything read more

I still give this place 5 stars! The new owners have remodeled and it looks beautiful. I still feel very welcomed and appreciated. They know me and many other regular customers by name. These people are the best!!! Staff are friendly! I had to get my nails done soooo last minute for an event the next day, so I called up a couple nail salons near my house, but they were all closed or replied "closing now, come back tomorrow" (which I found out later was a lie cuz some actually closed 45min later). Anyways....I finally started searching outside of my city and saw the high ratings on Generation Nail Salon, so I called them up to see if they were open. I spoke with a man and learned that they were going to close in 30 min. I asked how long it would take to get acrylics with french tips done (havent got my nails done in a while), and he said 35min. He heard my expression of disappointment and asked how long it would take me to get there, and I told him 15 min. He said not a problem! We can do your nails! Now that's good service! So i got there 15min before it closed and was greeted by a nice man named Justin. He was willing to do my nails, and I'm assuming was the guy I spoke with earlier. Justin was great! I havent done my nails in sooo long, so I had to describe to him what I didnt want. Justin very patiently listened to all my requests and helped me figured out what i was looking for -- Medium-short narrow french tip acrylics with clear gel. Price was not bad either ($25 french tip acrylics without cuticle cutting) Believe it or not all that took some time, especially when trying to get the right length of the tips. I thought Justin would rush through my nails since i arrived so close to closing, but nevertheless he was very careful with my nails and took his time, kindly asking me periodically whether my nails were looking exactly how I wanted them to look! He never did rush through the process and we ended up finishing 30min after closing time! How did my nails turn out? We'll I'm very pleased!! Thank you Justin for your kindness, hard work, and service!! Will definitely be coming back! Here are some pics of my nails.... and in case you are wondering, I have symmetric brachydactyly type D thumbs (clubbed thumbs). I love them! :) read more

Dip Nails.... I love them!! Leaving my natural nails in much better shape than gel. Jimmi does a beautiful job EVERY time. Many colors to choose from! Natural nails are stronger and longer, worth the nominal increase in cost to go from gel to dip. I see Jimmi every 3 weeks for mani and add spa pedi every other visit. read more

My family and friends go here all the time! Awesome service, everyone is very friendly and their rates are very affordable!

I have found a perfect nail salon that is conveniently close to my home! I have gone to La Brea Nails five times, and I have been extremely satisfied with the end result each time. I went there about a month ago and debated reviewing them or not. So here it is in a nutshell. I stopped in on a whim. No wait. GREAT! Didn't catch the name of the lady who was doing my nails. Small talk. Do you have kids? Yes, here's a picture. She scoffed at my kids LOL! Do you have kids? Yes, yadda yadda yadda, she then proceeds to tell me how she has 2 children, she only wanted 1, tried to abort #2 but the Dr. was catholic so he wouldn't do it.... I can't make this stuff up people!!! So unprofessional, so disturbing, so not okay. I will never go back, I do not suggest this place to anyone, I regret going. Also, my fill was awful, reshaped my thumb nails, horrible gel polish. read more

It's been a few years since I got my last manicure/pedicure so I was really looking forward to some pampering. I came here after some research and decided to get my nails done after my last final of the school year. BIG MISTAKE! The staff wasn't very friendly and they did a poor job on my nails. I originally picked white to color my nails and it turned out clumpy and bumpy. When I asked if there was any way they could fix it, they accused me of having bumpy nails! REALLY?! They finally decided to redo my nails...I was already fed up and didn't want to be late for my next appointment, but they refused to give me my money back or a discount. I ended up painting my nails red because they said that white would be and extra charge. So not only did they waste my time but they wanted to charge me extra. I wasn't aware of any charges in the first place! I was very polite the whole time and didn't look aggravated just to see if they would remedy their mistakes. Jenny had to redo my nail. My red nails turn out okay...nothing amazing. Sum up: 1. Poor customer service 2. Poor quality 3. Rude staff 4. Don't waste your time here read more

This may sound odd, but this shop has great sentimently meaning to me. In was able to get my mother out of the bed/house very, very seldom due to her severe orthopedic issues. With greatest care an patience Anna and Jennifer would help my Mother up into the pedicure chair, where she would receive a podiatrist level pedicure and manicure. This might been done two or three times a year. Well, the last time Mother had gone in, they offered to give my VERY MODEST Mother some super sweet flowers ok n her toes....mother was known for her LOVE affair with the color "PINK" and these were done in pink and white. Within two weeks my would ly dead in a St Jude hospital room. COMPLETELY unexpected...she had gone in with localized, mild case of celulitous...after not receiving her proper pain medication, (30 hours) she went into cardiac arrest from the withdrawals..... Now here is the point....the ONLY sweet, thing left of Mother, when we arrived at a horribly, "trashed" room ,with our mothering looking nothing like herself....well, THE ONLY thing that made my Mother seem like herself were THOSE PRETTY TOENAILS.! I told you was odd, be the fact the celulitous was on her lower left leg nd so, with all the focus on that area, it was so special to know there was SOMETHING representative of who she was in life and not just this anonymous, generic body without family or friends with her at her death. This happened in March of 2013 and I haven't been able to go back to Generation Nails since... They had a bad fire during that time but are back now....I think I'm going to get back this week....regardless of that memory. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Not only they have no skills they will cut your fingers intentionally and pour peroxide on the bleeding cut brutally without any notice if you ever express you are not happy with the way do the nails. Beware of the person named Jennifer. This so called manager started yelling at me to get out when I requested someone else to finish the nales after she cut my finger. NEVER encountered such rudeness and hostile attitude from a person in service industry. Unbelievably unprofessional. They deserve no business from anyone. read more

I just went here for the first time and I loved it. It was clean. The staff was friendly and although they were fast, they weren't rushed during my fill or pedicure. I'm a fan! I was delighted by my visit. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, prices are affordable and I'm going on two weeks with my pedicure and no chips yet! The young woman that did my pedicure was very fast, but she did a great job. I was surprised that this place didn't smell like chemicals. I even commented to the woman that was doing my pedicure. I had just read an article in the NYT about the poor conditions in some nail salons and the side effects to the workers. She said that the owner really cares about all of them and has all the trash with chemicals put outside so the place doesn't smell. The workers wear gloves too. They offer 4 different options for pedicures starting from $15 for the regular pedicure. That's pretty decent for the nice massage chairs. I went one level up (+$5) for the wax that is supposed to make your feet softer. I appreciate that they didn't try to up-sell me and they were very kind to my young daughter while she waited. read more

When I was new to the Brea area and was driving around trying to find a nail salon I stumbled upon Generation Nails. I couldn't be happier! Since then I have recommended all my friends and family if they are in the area. The staff is very friendly and they all perfom honest work. They take their time and don't try to rip off people by selling them different things. They will only do extra if you ask for it or they really think you need something. I think it's very neat that they actually remember so many of their customers names, including mine. I feel at home when I visit them and recommend this nail salon to all! read more

I always see this place whenever I'm driving up Brea Blvd. and yesterday was my first time getting my nails done here. They good a great job at this salon (ask for Justin) and their prices are incredibly reasonable: $15 for a spa pedi and $20 for a gel mani (my first gel mani ever, too, and I've heard that gel mani's are typically $25-$30). read more
